Elias sat in the snow, unaware of the battle of wits that had just taken place between Elten and Freya. He was thinking about Elten, trying to determine what kind of person he truly was.

From their initial interaction, Elten had seed kind to him. But was that a facade? Or was that the real him? That was the question in his mind.

When exactly had he switched their bodies? It had certainly happened after he killed Lilian, but before Freya's arrival. That ant Elten was already here while he was being suppressed.

Even though it looked like Elten had arrived to save him from Freya, it was clearly not his primary reason. He had co here for Lilian, probably after hearing about her death.

"I need to learn more about the descendants of the Ashborn Family." Even if Elten truly had good intentions towards him, he couldn't completely trust him. He had to know more about them and take precautions to protect himself.

He was lost in thoughts when he felt his surroundings becoming brighter. Sothing that felt like the sunlight, fell on his hand. He slowly raised his head, looking at the sky that had started to brighten.

The clouds were disappearing, and the sun was becoming visible. He could even feel the warmth of the sun on his skin. He lay on his back, falling onto the snow, letting the sunlight embrace him in its warmth.

With Lilian's death, the world was being freed from the effects of the Frost Apocalypse.

With no external force to manipulate the atmosphere, it was naturally healing. The snowfall had already stopped, and snowstorms were becoming a rare sight all over the world.

Elias didn't know what to feel about that. Had he saved the world? Did it even matter, as it wasn't his world?

"I wonder what they must be feeling," he mumbled, thinking about the citizens of this world that were finally free from this nightmare. "They probably can't believe it. They must be thinking that it's a dream."

He couldn't predict their thoughts. He simply guessed their thoughts, based on what he might have thought if his world was saved as well.

Just like he thought, the citizens of this world, at least those who had survived, stood before the window, looking at the sky outside. So of them even pinched themselves hard, to wake themselves if this was a dream.

Many of them stepped out of the houses, basking in the sunlight. Was it truly the end of this frozen apocalypse?

Even though they had tried to convince themselves that this apocalypse was only temporary and everything was going to return to normal, but even they didn't believe it.

Now that they could see the sun, whose existence had almost been forgotten, they couldn't take their eyes off. Even if tears trickled down their eyes, they stared at the sun.

"It's really the sun..." Standing near the window, Leo was also looking at the sun, his heartbeat rising uncontrollably.

Just at the last mont, it was feeling like the world was going to end, with earthquakes being rampant. And now, the world had beco peaceful.

He turned around, and hugged the woman tightly, "We are going to live! We are going to survive! The nightmare is over!"

"It's over..." The woman also hugged him tightly, unable to stop her tears. They went through so much in these last few months, and finally they seed to be free from this hell.

She knew that it wasn't going to be easy in the coming weeks as the snow wasn't going to lt anyti soon, but it was still the beginning of their new life.

"Do you think he knew this was going to happen?" Leo suddenly asked, thinking about Elias.

He had always wondered why Elias asked him to live even if this world had beco hell. Was it because he knew that the world was going to recover? Or was he responsible for this recovery instead? He had a feeling that he was never going to receive the answers.

The other rankers also looked at the sun recovering, which made them more confused. They were told that this world was going to die, even if their test ended earlier. So why was it recovering?

They waited to be brought back to the cliff by the Professor, but even after a few hours passed, they weren't teleported back. Many of them even started walking towards the cliff, where they had seen the mark of the Professor before the test ended.

....

After half a day had passed, soone stepped out of a portal that opened before Elias.

"I'm late!" the man exclaid, breathing heavily as if he had been running for a long ti. "I was lost. I accidentally ended up in another world and ca across those from the nightmare tribe. Those bastards wasted so much of my ti!"

He soon noticed Elias as the only person there. "Ah, sorry for my language. Where are the others?"

"They are not back yet," Elias answered while standing up. He had thought that the others would be teleported back on their own the mont the test was over, but it didn't seem to be the case.

"Ah, my bad. I'm a fool. Of course, they won't be here since the test ended with Lilian's death." The man facepald, rembering the fact that this test ended with Lilian's death. If the Professor itself died before the test ended, of course they didn't bring back the other from the class.

The man seed to have a very lively personality, which didn't match what Destroyer Class Professors were known for. However, there was sothing really odd about him.

The mont he talked about Lilian's death, he didn't seem too fazed. It was as if it were a completely normal thing to him that Lilian had died at the hands of a twelve-year-old child.

Even more surprising was the fact that he was so frank before the person who had just killed Lilian.

The man activated a formation that activated the hidden formation in the watches. Those who were alive were teleported back.
