"There is nothing left." Elias erged from the crater, having confird that everything was gone. Not just the city, but even the domain barrier itself had disappeared along with all the Domain Lords.

For the next few hours, he road the domain, checking the other cities. However, they were in the sa state, or perhaps even worse.

All the Domain Lords seed to have been caught in the explosion and killed. He was sowhat disappointed by this realization.

He considered going to other domains, but a ssage appeared in his mind. It was a ssage heard by every living being in the Land of Fables, instructing them to return to the forest at the earliest.

Hearing the ssage, Elias glanced in the direction of the forest. He wanted to go deeper into the Land of Fables, as there were still many domains left to explore, but the voice sounded urgent.

It was not a suggestion from the academy, but stern instructions which made him wonder if they were about to return ho. Not wanting to be trapped in this land once everyone else had left, he decided to return as well.

He summoned the fighter jet, but this ti, he didn't rge his ego with it to control it. Instead, he used his own skills and understanding, gained through his evolution.

This skill allowed him to understand his creation to a greater extent, even if he had only made slight modifications to it through rger or extraction.

He jumped inside the jet, leaving his ego to rest in the storage space, and took to the air. On his way back, he flew through a few domains that were on his route and collected a few more fables, spending as little ti as possible before continuing the journey.

The last domain on his way back was the domain where Lycorice lived. It was the only domain that he ignored, as the fables there had only helped him when he needed it the most. He flew around the domain, so as not to disturb them.

Soon, he reached the Forest of Fables and opened the cockpit. He sent the jet back into his class storage and jumped down from the height, once again landing right on top of the Forest of Fables, just like the first ti he had arrived here.

....

Inside the Forest of Fables, the children stood in a group on one side, many accompanied by High Tier Soul Beasts who stood behind them in their human forms.

Still, the large majority of the children had only managed to obtain low-tier soul beasts, many that couldn't even transform into a human form yet.

The low-grade soul beasts couldn't even raise their heads in the presence of the high-grade beasts that were like gods to them.

A hierarchy in the class had already been established based on the families that the students ca from, but that hierarchy was further reinforced by the type of soul beast that each one had managed to ta.

There was only one person in the entire class that didn't seem to co from any notable family, but had still managed to obtain a high-grade soul beast, making him stand out from the rest.

Despite a person from an ordinary family obtaining a soul beast, the total number of children with soul beasts was still less than the number of descendants from the founding families, especially since one of them was lying lifelessly before the group.

The children had never expected that the only person who would die in this place would be the child of the Esterin Family. However, they couldn't deny the body that was lying before them.

Even the two professors had confird that Rey had died. The only thing that they couldn't confirm was the cause of death, since the attack felt like it ca from a high-grade soul beast that didn't match the soul beasts of anyone else present here.

"Are you sure you didn't find him inside any Domain?" Grey asked, having returned from the Managent Office after a disappointing trip.

"There was no domain there. I found him when I went to check on the strange storm. But neither the storm nor the person who killed him was there," the girl that brought the body back, answered.

"Then how did he die...?" The Painter raised a brow. He had counted the number of high grade contract pillars. There were a limited number of such contracts. And all the owners of those contracts were here, with the number perfectly matching.

If it wasn't the work of a high grade soul beast, and it wasn't inside the domain, then how were there signs of an attack that ca from a high grade?

"Did any of you see Elias on your way back?" Grey asked out of nowhere.

"Professor, he died before even leaving the forest." A child spoke up, rembering the scene where Rey had killed him.

"Hmm?" The Professors looked at each other with their frowns deepening.

They were so imrsed in fighting at that mont that they couldn't observe the children. If they had, they could've already noticed how Elias had fooled them. But now, they were at a complete loss as well.

"What about his body?" The Painter asked. "Where is it?"

"The body was destroyed by Rey. Nothing was left behind," the child hesitatingly answered.

"An Esterin, and an Ashborn died?" Grey scratched the back of his head. Even though he had provoked a fight between them, it was because he knew that they couldn't kill each other. But things had gone beyond his expectations.

It would've been fine if only one of them had died, as the other would be alive to take the responsibility. But both of them had died, making the situation even worse.

"It just had to happen now when a delegation is coming. Argh, I don't want to deal with the Dean!"

"Are you sure Freya is the one you should be worrying about?" The other professor looked at Rey's lifeless corpse, letting out a sigh.

He stepped forward and picked up the body, before telling the others, "We are returning to the Academy."

He summoned a large canvas and carved a single stroke on it. The stroke opened a portal back to the Academy.
