Amid Song’s grumbling of "another small eting, another small eting," Inzewei once again nad a few forr apprentices to hold a secret eting.

Aside from Song, who was the closest to Inzewei, Yuki was only familiar with Zhao Zhengxin. He only knew the nas of the other apprentices.

Before sitting down, Song was extrely cautious: "Last ti, it was I who said sothing foolish, so I agreed to write the eting notes. But you can’t always expect to do it."

Inzewei, for the sake of the sect’s harmony, did not convey those unfriendly ssages to Yuki — they were all completed in private chat channels, and nothing was passed to Yuki. Zhao Zhengxin still asked them to write the eting notes.

Although it couldn’t be brought to light, this was indeed a "punishnt."

Yuki probably didn’t realize it then, but he should have co to understand it afterward.

After all, using private chat in front of him and not daring to show him those records was clear enough about what Little R and Song might have said then.

But then again, that’s just how it is.

In Yuki’s view, such things are actually quite commonplace.

Back when in Pine Eagle City, a few civilians who were nearly wrongly executed by Old Master Zhao, after being rescued by Hero, their first reaction was to grab onto Hero and shout "I caught the Hero, I’m not with them."

This incident deeply shocked the martial masters of the Iron Block Style Dojo like Hiroshi Matsushima. But to the likes of the Solo Kill King, this is sothing all too familiar.

Even old veterans like the Solo Kill King urged everyone to look past it.

Yuki naturally was ntally prepared for such reactions. Being a Hero, one can’t keep dwelling on such matters. Moreover, both emotionally and logically, these Research Knight Apprentices saved his life. He was the one who benefited.

Of course, one must distinguish the occasion as well.

To Yuki, although these apprentices have so combat power and verbally claim to "resist," their mindset is no different from ordinary people. In his definition, these people are "citizens."

Citizens temporarily swaying towards the Protector due to fear is not sothing shaful.

What’s truly unforgivable is the betrayal occurring after making a mutual assistance pact.

And to Yuki, when Inzewei asked him to assist the Pixie Sect in defending against the Six Dragons Sect, starting from that mont, "surrendering" beca unforgivable. After this point, "surrendering" was an error needing rectification with life.

And naturally, Song was also unwilling to take on more eting notes.

Otherwise...

She really ran in vain.

Inzewei laughed: "We can draw lots or take turns?"

Next ca another round of complaints.

Zhao Zhengxin directly asked: "So, what’s the topic this ti?"

"It’s still about Six Dragons Sect, Six Dragons Sect..." Inzewei pointed at Yuki: "Yuki researched so traits of ancient religions, hoping to distill an image that Six Dragons Sect might adhere to... How to put it, it wasn’t very successful. Anyway, we need to discuss this topic — for our future."

Inzewei eventually learned how to "make a mountain out of a molehill." Her tone was overly enthusiastic, anyone could tell she likely just found the matter interesting.

Zhao Zhengxin said: "I don’t understand either." and prepared to leave.

"Hey, no need to rush!" Inzewei called out, "I know this — everyone here once considered the idea of studying history and anthropology to earn so recognition. At least you have read so books and have so knowledge about the topic, right? You’re experts on this!"

Anthropology and history are now extrely undervalued disciplines. Yawgmoth despises the research subjects of these fields greatly. And with that attitude, funding is unlikely to reach the hands of researchers in these relevant areas. They barely get so basic funding or a bit of free action rights.

Thus, notable historical/anthropological research in recent decades mostly stems from the interests of renowned scientific knights.

But the right to "free action" is appealing enough to the group known as the "old eventual graduates."

They can gather their resources to complete unfinished projects and fulfill their lingering wishes... What could be better than this?

Most of this bunch of Research Knight Apprentices have entertained similar thoughts.

And they’ve actually put those thoughts into practice.

With so degree of success.

Yuki had renewed respect for these apprentices, especially Zhao Zhengxin. It seed his clear words on that day were no random occurrence.

Yuki stood up, shared so of his thoughts, and bowed to the gathered forr apprentices: "I don’t understand these things at all. If there’s anything I didn’t convey well, feel free to speak out."

Zhao Zhengxin scratched his head: "How to say, actually, after knowing Six Dragons Sect originated from the Scientific Knight Order, I wasn’t too surprised that ’Six Dragons Sect’ is a religion..."

Inzewei was astonished: "There’s a connection here?"

"Do you all rember..." Zhao Zhengxin said: "The Scientific Knight Order’s other na is ’Order of Yawgmoth’."

Inzewei was shocked: "There’s a connection here?"

"Otherwise? Or are we rely subjects of orders from Yawgmoth?" Zhao Zhengxin said gloomily: "Though nominally this world has long been without religions, in reality, there still exist two religious groups, right? Heroes and the Order of Knights."

"Heroes are considered religious groups?" Yuki was surprised.

"I think Heroes really worship the Martial God, and the ancient souls revered by the Martial God..." Zhao Zhengxin muttered, "And since Six Dragons Sect also erged from the Church... Perhaps they simply sought a new god to worship."

"A new god? A god worth betraying Yawgmoth for?"

"Who knows? Might be a negative incarnation of the Martial Ancestor. Such plots often appear in novels, don’t they?"

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Yuki exclaid loudly.

"Anyway, any entity qualified to be a god in this era can be found among the friends of Martial Ancestor and Yawgmoth." Zhao Zhengxin sneered: "This is about it."

Yuki was still relentless: "I say, Brother Zhao, don’t you have so peculiar understanding of Heroes? Are you still dwelling on past misfortunes?"

"No, sincerely genuine." Zhao Zhengxin retorted: "What is religion?"

"Well... a belief in the sa classics, a complete system of clergy, loyal followers... probably?" Yuki replied, "But my resistance is heartfelt."

"Human heart? What’s that supposed to an?" Zhao Zhengxin shook his head: "A dedicated clergyman residing within a religious sanctuary, leading followers through religious ceremonies, managing the religious organization and surrounding religious groups... Such a person is undoubtedly a religious believer, right? Along with this clergy, nurous faithful followers complete religious rites, making them basic believers — the livelihood of the sect. Now, imagine a person who hasn’t joined a formal church organization, lives at ho, worships religious idols or symbols at ho, adheres to religious decrees, even privately preaches this religion — yet never visits church, doesn’t join collective religious activities. He has a formal profession, not needing the congregation’s support, and rely practices his faith alone. Is he a religious believer?"

"Undoubtedly, yes." Yuki stated.

"Then that’s settled." Zhao Zhengxin concluded, "Scientific Knight Order can be seen as the first type, Heroes can be seen as the second type, so it’s like that. Ah, of course, so may feel that religion implies an organized group belief accompanied by certain worship behaviors. So rely highlighting ’rational awakening’ can’t be religion — ah, you indeed worship the Martial God, right?"

Zhao Zhengxin opened his arms wide: "They are simply ordinary people of this era, doing ordinary things for this era. However, this era has gone mad, so apparently, they are the ones mad. Or perhaps, the insane ones are actually us."

— Ah, no, this person is really tough to communicate with...

Yuki slapped his forehead.

He irritably tapped his fingers on the table: "Even if this wonderful organizational structure isn’t deed outdated today... the god of Six Dragons Sect, managing to steal worship from Yawgmoth might just be because it has unique qualities... It certainly has sothing different, hence appearing peculiar in this era..."

Zhao Zhengxin sighed: "Us folks might have been associating daily with a group of Six Dragons Sect mbers for many years, and yet we’ve never felt anything notably peculiar. Perhaps the essence of Six Dragons Sect isn’t so apparent on this side?"
