Chapter 1958: Chapter 1958: Elder Jinez
"However... this ti, Maximus Lee might just be setting up his own personal disciple for a fall!"
Watching Jackson Wilson, Wyatt Barnes sneered silently to himself.
"Wyatt Barnes, this is ’Elder Jinez’ from the Law Enforcent Hall of the Holy Land."
After bringing Wyatt Barnes in, Ezrah Morgan looked at the elderly man surrounded by Abraham Clifford and Jackson Wilson and introduced him to Wyatt Barnes.
"Greetings, Elder Jinez."
Upon hearing this, Wyatt Barnes politely greeted the elderly man.
Elder Jinez, a scholarly-looking elder, appeared very amiable on the surface.
Seeing Wyatt Barnes greet him, he squinted slightly and nodded at Wyatt, showing a genteel smile, "You must be Wyatt Barnes?"
"Yes."
Wyatt Barnes nodded.
"I am here today at your Black Tortoise Platform regarding the judgnt made by your Law Enforcent Elder ’Elder Clifford’ two months ago!"
Elder Jinez got straight to the point.
Wyatt Barnes nodded again, his face composed, showing not a hint of guilt.
In reality, he had nothing to feel guilty about!
Seeing this, Jackson Wilson sneered inside, "Hmph! Feigning mystique! When Elder Jinez personally tests and investigates your talent root, I want to see if you can remain this calm..."
In Jackson Wilson’s mind, he had already sentenced Wyatt Barnes to ’death.’
His preconceived notion was that Wyatt Barnes’s talent root was rely a ’Yellow Root.’
"You’re not surprised at all?"
Seeing Wyatt Barnes’s calm deanor, Elder Jinez curiously asked.
"Elder Jinez, I had long anticipated this mont would co... However, I never expected the one trying to overturn the judgnt made against
by Elder Clifford wouldn’t be our Black Tortoise Platform’s ’Elder Maximus Lee’!"
As Wyatt Barnes spoke, his gaze shifted, giving Jackson Wilson a aningful glance.
"Why should my master personally intervene to overturn the judgnt against you!"
Seeing Wyatt Barnes look over, with what seed like a playful glint in his eyes, a fla of anger rose within Jackson Wilson, and he couldn’t help but sneer.
"Hmph!"
However, Jackson Wilson’s words sparked displeasure in Elder Jinez, who suddenly snorted, "Overturning a Law Enforcent Elder’s judgnt is no simple matter! Until the facts are clear, everything is still unknown."
In the Fire Worship Sect, questioning or attempting to overturn a Law Enforcent Elder’s judgnt was akin to slapping the Law Enforcent Hall of the Holy Land in the face.
Within the Fire Worship Sect, including the four Law Enforcent Elders of the Four Symbols Platforms, all Law Enforcent Elders were directly appointed by the Law Enforcent Hall of the Holy Land. Questioning any Law Enforcent Elder’s judgnt was akin to questioning the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall’s ability to recognize talent.
It was for this reason that when Maximus Lee wanted to accuse the Black Tortoise Platform’s Law Enforcent Elder, ’Elder Clifford,’ of abusing his power for personal gain, the then-presiding elder of the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall specifically warned him!
To insist on accusing a Law Enforcent Elder appointed by the Law Enforcent Hall was allowed, but if it was later revealed that the accuser was slandering the Law Enforcent Elder... the accuser’s actions would be considered as desecration of the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall!
In the Fire Worship Sect, the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall is responsible for law enforcent and is a sacred and powerful entity.
Anyone daring to desecrate the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall must face severe punishnt!
The dignity of the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall is inviolable!
In the history of the Fire Worship Sect, many have desecrated the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall in various ways... though most of them did so inadvertently, the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall would not consider these!
In the end, at least half of those people died under the severe penalties of the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall!
"Yes, Elder Jinez."
Hearing Elder Jinez snort, Jackson Wilson couldn’t help but shudder, quickly responding, not daring to say anything more.
However, the gaze he directed at Wyatt Barnes still contained hints of mockery.
Whoosh!
Elder Jinez, being straightforward and decisive, raised his hand and brought out a ’Spirit Pearl’ to test talent roots, handing it to Wyatt Barnes, "First, use the Spirit Pearl to test your talent root... if it reveals your talent root as a ’Green Root,’ I will then use my Divine Sense to rge with your soul, sensing and examining your talent root to confirm if it truly is a ’Green Root.’"
"Do you... have any objections?"
As he finished speaking, Elder Jinez’s gaze towards Wyatt Barnes beca more severe, subtly applying pressure on Wyatt.
"I will abide by Elder Jinez’s arrangents."
Under Jackson Wilson’s astonished gaze, Wyatt Barnes, still calmly facing Elder Jinez’s pressure, readily reached out to take the Spirit Pearl handed over by Elder Jinez.
"He... even at this mont, can remain so calm?"
If previously Jackson Wilson thought Wyatt Barnes was just putting on a fa??ade, now facing Elder Jinez’s test, Wyatt Barnes’s continued calmness gave him a subtle sense of foreboding.
On the other side of Elder Jinez, the Black Tortoise Platform’s Law Enforcent Elder ’Abraham Clifford’ stood.
From start to finish, Abraham Clifford’s expression hadn’t changed.
In his eyes, the ’judgnt’ he made against Wyatt Barnes was all in accordance with the ’unwritten rules’ of the Fire Worship Sect, without the slightest hint of corruption or fraud.
Thus, Jackson Wilson’s accusation against him in the Holy Land’s Law Enforcent Hall, to him, was nothing more than a ’farce.’
Anyway, in the end, he was certain that the one at a loss wouldn’t be him.
Wyatt Barnes held the Spirit Pearl, and apart from Abraham Clifford, who was not paying much attention, everyone else, including ’Elder Jinez’ from the Enforcent Hall of the Holy Land, Jackson Wilson, and Ezrah Morgan, were closely watching the Spirit Pearl in Wyatt’s hand, waiting for the change on it.
Approximately ten breaths later, the Spirit Pearl would reveal the grade of Wyatt Barnes’ talent root.
Ti quietly passed.
A breath passed.
Two breaths passed.
...
Until ten breaths had passed, the Spirit Pearl in Wyatt Barnes’ hand finally reacted, causing Elder Jinez, Jackson Wilson, and Ezrah Morgan’s eyes to narrow.
Next, under the gaze of the three, a faint azure light appeared on the Spirit Pearl.
Later, the azure light expanded explosively, dazzling and striking!
"It really is a ’Blue Talent Root’!"
Ezrah Morgan couldn’t help but exclaim.
"Impossible!"
Jackson Wilson, who was already uneasy, saw the azure light on the Spirit Pearl in Wyatt Barnes’ hand, and his face changed dramatically.
Monts later, his face was filled with shock and disbelief.
"There must be sothing wrong with this Spirit Pearl! Try another! I have a Spirit Pearl here too... let’s try another!!"
While speaking, Jackson Wilson hurriedly took out a Spirit Pearl and threw it directly to Wyatt Barnes.
Crack!
Though Wyatt Barnes could have ignored the Spirit Pearl Jackson Wilson threw at him, he caught it to make Jackson Wilson give up and despair.
He used Jackson Wilson’s Spirit Pearl to test his talent root again!
Seeing Wyatt Barnes catch his Spirit Pearl, Jackson Wilson imdiately stared at the Spirit Pearl with hopeful eyes.
At this mont, he entirely viewed this Spirit Pearl as his last straw.
However, after ten breaths, when his Spirit Pearl also emitted dazzling azure light, his face completely changed again, revealing traces of despair and disbelief.
"How can this be... impossible! It’s impossible! When you first joined the Fire Worship Sect, my master personally saw you test your talent root twice, and both tests showed only a ’Yellow Talent Root’!"
"You must have used the Blind thod! You must have!!"
Jackson Wilson muttered incredulously, repeatedly growling.
At this mont, he completely lost his composure.
Ezrah Morgan glanced at Jackson Wilson and shook his head.
Even as an outsider, he could now confirm that Wyatt Barnes’ talent root was indeed a ’Blue Talent Root.’
As for why Wyatt Barnes was tested with a ’Yellow Talent Root’ when he first arrived at the Black Tortoise Hall and participated in the talent assessnt, he was unsure.
He only believed what he saw with his own eyes.
"Enough!"
Only after Elder Jinez shouted did Jackson Wilson startle and quiet down.
"Whether he used the Blind thod or not, after my Divine Sense enters his soul to explore and sense his talent root, the truth will naturally be revealed!"
Upon hearing Elder Jinez’s words, the hope in Jackson Wilson’s eyes flickered once more, seeing Elder Jinez’s Divine Sense as the last straw to clutch at.
"Wyatt Barnes, my Divine Sense will only explore and sense your talent root, it won’t harm your soul... So, you don’t need to be pressured, just let things happen naturally."
Elder Jinez looked at Wyatt Barnes and said.
"Alright."
Wyatt Barnes nodded.
Wyatt Barnes’ straightforwardness and cooperation gave Elder Jinez an instant goodwill, and after smiling at him, Elder Jinez extended his Divine Sense to explore and sense Wyatt Barnes’ talent root.
The mont Elder Jinez’s Divine Sense rged into Wyatt Barnes’ soul, it imdiately exerted a certain pressure on Wyatt Barnes.
Because Elder Jinez’s Divine Sense is very powerful!
"However, comparing it to Elder Fire’s Divine Sense... this Elder Jinez’s Divine Sense is significantly weaker."
Wyatt Barnes quickly realized this, "It seems Elder Fire’s strength has recovered considerably... If he could erge from the Jewel Tower, with his current recovered strength, and his various Divine Ability thods, even the ’Golden Fla Elder’ in the Fire Worship Sect may not be his opponent!"
Thinking of this, Wyatt Barnes felt a great pity.
It’s a pity Elder Fire cannot co out.
Otherwise, Elder Fire would be a ’super heavyweight’ by his side.
If he had a super heavyweight by his side, he would have charged into the Enforcent Hall of the Holy Land to rescue his wife and daughter from the Fire Worship Sect and take them away.
"Is this Jackson Wilson a ’fool’? Even at this point, he still holds onto fantasies?"
While Elder Jinez’s Divine Sense was entering Wyatt Barnes’ soul, Wyatt Barnes glanced at Jackson Wilson, just in ti to see the hope in Jackson’s eyes.
