"That will do, pig," the voice spoke again, with chilling calmness. Interrupted, Yun Feng went silent.

All eyes pivoted toward Wuyi, who had risen to his feet. His voice carried a depth and emotionlessness, "Since this was a duty and not personal, I will make it painless for you."

A collective shiver ran through the crowd, most acutely through Yun Feng. The confidence in Wuyi's voice bore deep surety, a surety that only very powerful mbers of the clan had when they spoke because they knew they were too strong and could crush him like an ant.

Congming and Lady ixiu both frowned. Every Qi warrior present had fear on their faces. When Wuyi spoke, they all understood the boy was being sincere when he said it would be painless, and he was showing kindness. They all wondered what unseen force lent such confidence to the boy.

Before Yun Feng could respond or think of a response, his head rolled, separated from his body.

Congming, Lady ixu, and Yun Ming were the first to realize what had happened. Then the realization dawned on everyone present.

Without knowing when, how, or who, the head of Yun Feng was severed from his body.

They still could not understand how the kid did it.

Wuyi moved, walking peacefully, his hand still held Gao's hair dragging him behind, ignoring Congming and ixu. He went near the dead body, and it disappeared.

This made Congming and other clan mbers notice the storage bag, and their eyes went wide.

Lord Congming tried to speak, his voice contained anger since Wuyi had the ring and storage bag, aning he had been to the clan's treasure. "Wuyi, you!..."

Before he could finish, he felt sothing cold against his neck and shivered. Turning his head slightly, he saw a dark, hooded figure. The figure was nacing, emanating an aura of evil, vile, and poison so potent it was almost palpable. His presence was overpowering, a manifestation of dread and malevolence that seed to suck the light out of the surroundings.

This figure was at the level of a Qi master. Even Lady ixu flinched. Yun Ming, who was following the kid, shifted two steps back.

The dark figure that had arrived behind Congming was holding a scythe the size of a sword on Congming's neck. The scythe was made of so otherworldly tal; if looked carefully, there were hints of blood on the scythe. This gave an answer to everyone's first question: how did Yun Feng die?

But now they had many other questions: a Qi master had arrived to help the kid, a demonic Qi master?

But when the being smiled with his nacing teeth, they soon realized that it was neither demonic nor righteous; the being was not human

Wuyi spoke, "No one is allowed to speak."

The dark, nacing figure smiled again, prompting everyone, including Lady ixu, to take two steps backward. Congming remained where he was, the scythe still against his neck. Aware of how easily Yun Feng's head had been severed, he even tried to breathe quietly, lest he upset this formidable presence.

"Congming," there was no more respect in Wuyi's voice for the patriarch.

"You helped get an education to earn my favor, so I am forgiving you and your clan. Your minor punishnt is I am taking your treasures and..." Wuyi spoke softly. His voice carried a chilling undertone that sent shivers down everyone's spine again.

A few items ca out from the storage bags. Looking closely, Congming and the clan mbers frowned - these were things of the kids that were sent by Gao to test.

Wuyi spoke, "They are included in the price you had to pay. But now the karma between your clan and is done. You were wise, Congming, but not wise enough."

Wuyi looked down at Gao and smiled malevolently. "I am taking him," he declared.

Lady ixiu, who had been too shocked to speak, finally found her voice. "What is going on, Wuyi? What happened?"

Wuyi growled, "Quiet!"

When Wuyi spoke, at that sa ti, another figure appeared behind him - a figure of a woman.

The eyes of the figure were closed. When she opened them, her gaze revealed that she could see into the very souls of everyone.

The figure was draped in robes that shimred with a pale luminescence, reminiscent of moonlight dancing on water. She moved with a grace that cald the turbulent hearts of those who watched. Her hands, snow-white, were holding a staff. The air around it thrumd with a compassionate force, the emotional turmoil of the battlefield seemingly dissolving in its presence.

Her face was a picture of serenity, inviting trust and openness with an almost magnetic pull. She moved with purposeful tranquility, each step asured and deliberate, as if she walked upon the very fabric of the world's emotions. As she moved from behind Wuyi to beside him, the gathered crowd, warriors, and onlookers alike, felt an inexplicable ease settling over them.

Everything and everyone had paused, breaths were drawn, and even the most hardened hearts found themselves unclenched.

This lady was also a Qi master, and unlike the nacing being with the scythe, they could feel the righteousness from her. She was pure and holy.

After standing beside Wuyi, the figure graciously brought her snow-white fingers to her deep rosy lips, indicating everyone to keep silence.

First, they were awestruck, but soon they all realized they could not speak. Whenever they tried to talk, they felt a torrent of emotions that did not let them talk, even Lady ixu.

Wuyi turned to Lady ixu and spoke.

Many of the mbers then realized it was not just that they could not speak; they were not able to hear anything either. They could see Wuyi's mouth moving, but there was no sound; only a few could hear what he was saying, which included Lady ixu, Congming, Yun Ming, and Zhenli of Luyao, who was good to Wuyi.

"I had nothing to do with Yuanjing. I never asked them for anything. Still, I had to suffer today. Your concern for seems real, so I believe you really care. Besides, that guy tried to protect , so I am guessing it is a division of politics within Yuanjing. And there might have been others who wished harm.

So let be clear about a few things. I am not demonic," saying that Wuyi swirled Qi around him; it was pure natural Qi. No one could doubt that he was demonic.
