Kyran did not know how to respond to that. But one thing he knew was that his body started to feel strange after the tension from earlier abated.

That was not entirely correct. It was after he used the Void Domain that the strange feeling in his body appeared.
In other people's eyes, Kyran's defiant attitude toward the Dragon Emperor lessened because he was too focused on maintaining his domain. When Kyran summoned his domain, his primary target was Cyneah, with the Dragon Emperor as secondary only. But because the latter possessed far greater magic energy and mage level, maintaining the domain took a lot of toll on Kyran's mind and body.
He also had to be careful not to alert the Macabre Glacier's sentient of Shaiha's presence.
Kyran still rembered when the Macabre Glacier's energy first made contact with him and Shaiha lost control. He had yet to understand what happened back then, but now that Shaiha had returned most of her strength after coming to the Higher Realm, he expected nothing of the sort would happen again.
Going back to the main topic of concern, now that Kyran had reduced the range of his domain, with Cyneah as his sole target, he thought the strange feeling would disappear.
He was wrong.
As not only noticed how pale Kyran's complexion had beco but also how badly he was sweating.
"Kyran?" Cyneah's called, her voice filled with worry.
Because the Void Domain covered her body, Cyneah could not use magic sense to observe her surroundings. Thus, she did not notice that Kyran was unwell. Not that it would really help, even if she could use magic sense because she still could not see him well unless he lowered Shaiha's concealnt.
"I'm fine—."
"Don't say you're fine when you're clearly not," As said, cutting off Kyran's response. "Rest for today. We'll have a feast to celebrate your arrival another ti."
Kyran did not refuse. He was not exhausted per se, but the strange feeling on his body made him feel uncomfortable, and he only wanted to lie down and sleep. If he had to compare how he felt at the mont, it was like he was coming down with the bad fever.
As did not waste any effort escorting Kyran and the others to their accommodation. Although she did not change into her dragon form, her body grew so she could carry everyone.
Kyran and the others would stay in a dium-sized villa with several rooms, a huge courtyard, and a training ground at the back. The Regis family mbers that As brought along with her were also staying there.
As already inford them of their arrival, so all Regis family mbers gathered outside to greet them. As for Kyran's room, it was already prepared prior to the Tower of the Ancients' opening. As a matter of fact, they reserved the master's bedroom for him, so he had a room ready once they found him.
By the ti As arrived with Kyran and the others at the villa, Kyran's condition had already worsened. His body felt as if they were on fire, and he could barely stay conscious of the pain.
Cyneah pleaded with Kyran to release his domain so she could treat him, but he would not budge. Ultimately, when he could no longer endure the pain, he fell unconscious.
Surprisingly, he still managed to keep the Void Domain around Cyneah active, much to her chagrin.
The only ones in the villa were the Regis family mbers, with As staying there indefinitely. She had her own residence in the main palace, but because the Regis Family were her visitors, she decided to live in the villa with them for the duration of their stay.
Since this was the case, As was considered the 'head' of the villa until Kyran was found. If As returned to the main palace or if she had to leave for other reasons, Cyneah, Myst, or Raya would resu responsibility over the villa.
Since Kyran had just arrived and was in no condition to take over the 'head' of the villa, As acted as the host and made sure Leif and the others were taken care of.
She had rooms prepared for them, even if they were technically Kyran's hostages. She did not even make any precautionary asures to prevent them from trying to escape or make contact with the Ogen Clan. It was negligence, but more with her believing that Kyran had already co up with counterasures when he decided to take them with him to the Dragon plane.
As was not wrong in this sense. Kyran and Leif made a binding agreent before coming there. The agreent was only made with special paper, and Leif was the only one affected by it.
However, because Maren, Cove, and Irving swore to believe and follow Leif with any decisions she made, they would not do anything that would trigger the penalty of the agreent she had with Kyran. Besides, they were not stupid to actually do sothing within the Dragon Clan's territory.
Cyneah stayed at Kyran's bedside even when the night had co. Myst and Raya offered to keep watch, but she refused to leave and only asked for a spare blanket and pillows so she could rest on the couch, which was close to the fireplace that was opposite the bed.
Myst and Raya wanted to argue at first, but As ca in and approved Cyneah's request. In fact, she also requested a blanket and pillow for her. Like the younger woman, she decided to stay and monitor Kyran's condition.
In the end, Myst and Raya could only comply and left to prepare their request.
When the two left, Cyneah finally spoke and asked As, "Kyran's condition isn't because he pushed himself too far, am I right?"
As did not answer imdiately. Instead, she looked at Kyran, who was lying on the bed with a flushed face and labored breathing. She frowned after confirming that he was indeed having a very bad case of high fever.
A condition was highly unlikely to them that had dragon blood in their veins. Cases of Regis family mbers who partook of dragon blood, like the ones As brought to the Higher Realm, who suffered light cold, but none of them would end up with a very high temperature. This was because their body had already improved to the point that they were almost immune to all diseases.
Kyran was even more immune to them, especially since he consud the entirety of the Elixir.
So why was he suffering at this mont?
"Kyran would sotis fall sick if he overexerted usage of his magic cores," Cyneah started once more when As did not respond. "If I can use my magic sense, I can confirm his condition. But honestly, even if I can use it, I don't think he is suffering because of his magic cores."
"Yes, it has nothing to do with that," As replied at last. "I am not sure of it yet, but whatever he got is definitely not a regular fever. I have to ask Father about it first."
"I think it happened after he used the Void Domain."
"Hm... I don't think it is related to anything..." As's voice trailed off as she thought of sothing. Her expression turned grim as she narrowed her eyes and said, "No... maybe it is related. I need to check sothing. Stay with him for the ti being.
Whether it is only in his mind, but your presence helps relieve his suffering."
"You an him suffering from such high temperature is him being relieved?" Cyneah said incredulously.
"If my suspicions are right, yes."
Cyneah paused as she raised her head toward As's direction.
"...Is it sothing we have to be alard about?"
"No.. is what I want to say," As said with a sigh. "But I honestly don't know. Only after we confird what caused his suffering can we make any concessions."
"...I understand."
"I'll be back in a few hours. You also need to rest. If you end up falling sick because you neglected your own health, Kyran will think Myst and Raya are not taking good care of you."
"H-He will not do that..."
As only smiled and left through the room's balcony.
At this ti, Myst and Raya returned with the spare blankets and pillows. When they saw the balcony doors open and As had gone, they could only sigh and say, "Does she have to leave through the balcony?"
Cyneah gave a small smile before turning her attention back to Kyran.
Raya closed the balcony doors while Myst fixed the couch where Cyneah would sleep.
"This is the second ti I've seen the Young Master suffer like this," Myst remarked.
Cyneah's ears perked up as she raised her head toward Myst's direction.
"When is the first ti?" she asked in curiosity, thinking that it might give them a clue as to how to help Kyran get better.
"It was when he was suffering from his magic," Myst replied with a bitter smile. "Back then, the Young Master was still a young boy, and his magic affected his surroundings. As you know, one of the natures of Young Master's Void magic is absorption. Because he was only a young boy, he could not control the effect of his magic and continuously absorbed the magic energies around him.
If Lord Cade failed to seal the Young Master's magic, he might have exploded from all the crazy amount of magic energy his young little body absorbed."
"This... is the first ti I'm hearing this."
"I'm sure Young Master doesn't want you to worry over sothing that has already happened."
Cyneah did not respond, but an idea started to take form in her mind.
Back then, Kyran suffered because of his Void magic. What if, this ti, it had sothing to do with his Draconic magic?
