Chapter 254: Money-printing

Grace soon acknowledged that she had nothing to worry about, on top of sothing else.

Liam got down to concoct on the spot, relying on ingredients from the usable pile and the cauldron from his space-ring.

The recipe involved a rank 1 Qi-recovery elixir, sothing Liam had mastered long ago, and that his new cultivation stage simplified even further.

It was simply more effortless to fuel a rank 1 concoction with the Qi of a rooting expert. Liam actually had to hold back, aning he used no aningful amount of energy.

Instead of multiple rounds, Liam could focus on rank 1 concoctions for days on end without needing breaks. Be it Qi, stamina, or ntal drain, he could handle far more.

And, despite the practice being dull on the surface, Grace saw a certain, elevated appeal. Liam’s feral focus and extrely thodical moves almost created a separate world that beat at a precise, profound rhythm.

There was wisdom in what Liam was doing. Grace couldn’t explain it, but she felt it, and she knew that any audience would, too. Instead of the flashiness of battle, her shop would provide sothing far nobler and magnetic.

Then, there was Liam’s confidence, and Grace’s last doubts directly vanished once she witnessed it, even making her feel stupid for not having offered the current deal back in the open market.

Liam might have claid that he wasn’t a good alchemist, but that simply wasn’t the truth. It couldn’t be. Grace didn’t know alchemy, but everything about the performance reeked of excellence.

The cauldron spoke a language Liam understood effortlessly. The alchemical fla rose and shrank as if it were directly connected to his thoughts, as if it were an extension of his body.

Liam even picked up ingredients without looking at them, and his whole presence had changed, down to his very breathing pace. He was one with the process, performing it so smoothly that alchemy itself felt easy.

’Hundreds? Thousands?’ Grace wondered, engrossed in the concoction. ’How many tis has he done this? How did he even afford it?’

Grace didn’t know alchemy, but she understood money. The investnt to build the mastery Liam was showing had to have been imnse.

Still, instead of pondering Liam’s origin, Grace rely accepted that her deal had never carried any risk, not from Liam. He was a surefire investnt. She was the only one who could make mistakes and fail to sell him properly.

Liam eventually slapped the cauldron’s side, forcing it to expel the impurities before retrieving a flask on the floor. He didn’t hesitate to imrse it in the item, lifting it to show its azure, brilliant color.

"Here," Liam said, approaching Grace to hand her the flask. "I can make between five and six of these in each concoction as long as I use enough materials. I just don’t know how entertaining it is to watch."

Liam’s only spectators had been his Master and lissa, who were both special cases, so his cluelessness was genuine.

Grace glanced at Liam before moving her attention to the elixir, only to gulp it down. Rank 1 products had limited effects on rooting experts, but she had to test them for herself.

If the performance hadn’t already convinced Grace, the elixir did. She closed her eyes, experiencing how her Qi responded to the product, confirming it was of high quality.

Actually, that elixir was the best Grace had ever drunk, which was impossible, or at least it should be. She honestly would have never believed it ca from soone so young, but she had literally seen it happen.

"You have nothing to worry about," Grace promised, pushing the empty flask on Liam’s chest. "And, once we are there, let

handle everything. I don’t want you to decrease your success rate."

"Actually," Liam ntioned, storing the flask, "As long as it’s just rank 1 concoctions, I won’t make mistakes."

"What?" Grace frowned before wearing a simple smile. "William, you don’t need to brag. I’ve already placed my business life in your hands."

Alchemists failed a lot. That was common knowledge. Even when commissioning popular products, it was customary to provide multiple batches of the required ingredients or adjust the paynt according to what the hired master wasted to succeed.

Still, Liam only tilted his head in confusion. The alchemy he had learned, the only one he knew, only allowed perfection. He might lack the ingredients to pursue it through the extre approach of his last training period, but the goal hadn’t changed.

Grace’s smile broadened, becoming incredulous. She could read Liam but struggled to believe him.

"Are you saying ...," Grace hesitantly probed, "That you will always turn rank 1 ingredients into rank 1 products no matter what?"

"Unless it’s so experintal recipe," Liam admitted, "Or very unique products. For the second, I’d need so tests first. Oh, and there’s the logs. I’m almost out of those."

As absurd as it sounded, Liam had confird Grace’s probe. He was a money-printing machine, one that multiplied wealth without ever risking wasting any.

’Where has he been all my life?’ Grace thought, almost drooling, and sothing else. Her whole being reacted to money, so Liam beca more handso in her eyes now that his value had increased.

"We’ll only sell popular products," Grace reassured, clearing her throat. "Let’s exchange both lists so that we can start preparing. I’ll get everything ready, while you can focus on the concentrates."

Grace retrieved a green jade from her robe, at which Liam’s eyes lit up.

"Grace, can you get

one of those?" Liam requested, pointing at the jade. "I need an empty one I can fill with information."

"That’s easy," Grace said. "I’ll also get us matching communicators just for the two of us so that you’ll always be able to contact

and I’ll always be able to contact you."

’Like that glass from the Crimson Warrior Sect,’ Liam understood before recalling sothing. "Wait, will people be able to track us with those?"

"I truly wish to include trackers so that you’ll never escape ," Grace sighed, "But it’s too risky. Besides, I can trust you, right? You’ll never betray , right?"

Grace smiled, but for so reason, Liam felt in danger in a way so strange that even his new perception failed to put into words, basically forcing him to perform a nod.
