Darius was looking at the screen, and he noticed that everything had changed; so things had been added. He kept looking at the screen when he spotted the race part again.
"Human hybrid? What in the world does that an?" He was looking at the screen, confused and not understanding what he was looking at there.
’It is due to your forceful ingestion of the Salamandrian Flesh, You made your body break down the poison, giving you the chance to beco a hybrid.’ Azree explained the confusing thing to Darius.
Our young warrior was now looking at sothing else on the screen, he was not sure how he skipped it.
"Oh goodness, how stupid am I?" Darius smacked his head.
’On a scale of 1 to 100, you seem to go overboard.’ Azree chirped in.
"It was rhetorical!" Darius was fuming, he then turned back to the board. "I only said that because there was a skill called mana steal! And I was running low on mana, and I needed to win, but then I had to eat that thing."
’You thought you didn’t have options; no one is judging you. Your stupid risk saved your hide, so don’t beat yourself up.’ Azree tried to calm Darius down.
The young warrior looked at the screen, and he saw the rank section. He wondered what it ant.
’The rank is unassessed for now, but as you keep growing in power, you will get it.’ Azree helped out in that part, too.
Darius was still looking at the screen, he had a smile on his face.
"I have co a long way from being a scrawny F-rank, haven’t I?" He looked at the screen, and all he could see was his growth.
’Indeed, you are trying to make sure the world is safe for the people around you, and your main reason for pushing forward is...’
The door of the ward swung open, prompting Azree to stop. Darius turned to look at who had opened it, and Lena could be seen standing there with a smile on her face.
"Big Brother!" Lena ran for the bed, leaping into Darius’s arms.
Darius caught her and began ruffling her hair, he had a smile on his face.
"Now, where did this little troll spawn from?" He kept ruffling her hair, tickling her.
"Uncle Liu told you were awake, and I can co see you." Lena paused and began giggling when Darius kept tickling her. "Stop it. You’re ruining my hair."
Lena turned to look at her brother, she was happy that he kept his promise and ca back alive.
"I was happy when I heard you were safe; you were only sleeping, and I couldn’t rest that day." Lena looked down, and her tone changed. "I thought I lost you."
Darius smiled; he pulled her in for a hug. "I told you, I will always co back to my little troll."
Lena hugged him back; she was genuinely happy that he was back, and nothing was going to take him away. She broke from the hug, looking at the
"You owe Ice Cream and A The Park Playdate." She pouted, looking at her brother.
"Heh, I only agreed to the ice cream! Don’t co making demands, nasty troll!" Darius pulled her close and began ruffling her hair again.
Lena was giggling, She then looked at Darius’s hand to see that there was sothing off there.
"Brother, what happened to the good luck bracelet I gave you?" She was looking at him. Darius knew there was nothing he could do to get out of this.
He looked at his arm and then realized that the bracelet might have burnt off during his battle with Pryion. "Sorry, I think it might have gotten ruined while I was in the dungeon."
He turned to look at her, a big smile on his face, as he slowly patted her head. "You will make another one, right?"
Lena nodded, she was happy. "But it will cost you, You will get on one of those huge rides at the the park."
"You... I never agreed on the the park!" Darius yelled, holding Lena.
"Then no bracelet." She smiled; Darius saw nothing was going to make him win.
"Fine then, we will go this weekend." He softly patted her head. "Now, why don’t you go wait for outside so I can change into my clothes and get rid of these hospital clothes."
’After facing Pryion, a kiddie ride won’t hurt.’ He smiled.
"Okay!" Lena hopped down and turned to look at Darius. "I will be waiting for you!"
She yelled as she stord out of the room.
Darius had a smile on his face, he didn’t need anyone to tell him what his reason was anymore.
"Azree."
’Hmm?’ Azree responded.
"I think I know my reason for all this. If it wasn’t for Lena, I would have never gotten my powers." He smiled as he thought about it. "I will keep fighting to make sure that everyone I care about is safe."
’Hmmm, your reasons are pure dumb rock. But I know you will be able to keep all of them safe.’ Azree chid in.
Darius couldn’t help but smile. he looked at the tattoo on his hand, and he could see that there was a new color there. The color red is close to the sword and dragon.
"I will keep getting stronger until not even the gods will be able to stop ." He tightened his fists before getting down from the blanket, trying to get ready so he could take Lena ho.
Back at the ruins of Aeres’s temple, a majestic figure could be seen walking around. The being was coated in a power red armor and robe, gold and crimson scales could be seen on his hands, and everywhere he walked seed to turn into larva.
He was walking around the temple, and the look on his face was pure disgust.
"I never would have thought I would see the Great Dragon King of Fire walking around his ruined temple. Keh Keh,"
Aeres had co to see what the fight between Darius and Pryion did to his temple. He paused and turned to look at a being dressed in a dark overall cloak, the cloak seed tattered and ragged.
"What business do you have being here, Seer of Doom?" Aeres asked in a terrifying tone.
"Keh, Keh," The Seer laughed, his set of dark brown teeth could be seen. "I warned you and your kin about the Ashran’s successor, and you shoved aside like a fool. I told you that the boy would be the catalyst for what is about to co."
"Get to the damn point, wretched mage!" Aeres roared; embers of fire could be seen following his words.
"Calm down now, there is no need to burn down. Not that you can but... Keh Keh." The seer laughed mockingly.
"Do you want to test that theory?!" Aeres was getting angrier.
The seer then raised his hand, he was looking at the Dragon King. "It has already begun. The war you and your kin have been having for thousands of years has begun. Soon, the realms will et, and there is nothing you are going to do to stop it."
Aeres grew a worried look on his face. "Then we will fight and win like we did."
"Without Ashran? Or the boy? You must be delusional! Keh Keh." The seer shook his head, he walked close to Aeres. "Heed my warnings, work with the boy, and stop trying to kill him. In this ga of chess, he is the ultimate piece!"
The seer disappeared into a black smoke, his laughter filling the ruins of the temple. Leaving Aeres there with an angry look on his face.
"We will win this war, with or without him!" He roared before fading away in flas.
