Inside the courtroom.

Half an hour remains before the hearing starts.

This final trial is being livestread by the court, to allow for public oversight nationwide.

Only special cases are not livestread by the court.

Zhou Wenjing and Han Jingjing arrived early at the scene.

Zhou Wenjing said, "Lawyer Han, you must figure out a way to help win this case. I want Wang Zhihao to pay! I want him to leave with nothing! He has to cover the child support for the four kids, and also the car, which he totaled. He won’t give the money, he wrecked it himself, but I don’t care, the car must be converted into cash, and the money must end up with ."

"Lawyer Han, if you can win this case for , I’ll give you another twenty thousand! Then I’ll hire you for the next case too!"

Whenever Zhou Wenjing thinks of Wang Zhihao hitting her, she grits her teeth in anger.

He hit her and didn’t take responsibility?

What’s this self-defense nonsense he’s claiming?

Actually, she and Wang Zhihao haven’t completely divorced yet.

Because Wang Zhihao has been in and out of court twice for cases, always in a legal battle.

After the second case, Wang Zhihao began seeking a lawyer for the final trial.

Zhou Wenjing attempted multiple tis to get Wang Zhihao to settle the divorce paperwork, but he never did.

Because Wang Zhihao was dissatisfied with the court’s decision.

Of course, Wang Zhihao was willing to divorce.

A divorce must happen!

He and Zhou Wenjing might as well be divorced, just without official docuntation.

If this trial concludes, divorce will be imposed, regardless of willingness.

Han Jingjing said, "Don’t worry, I’ve got this case covered. I’ve been handling divorce cases for years and have rarely lost. I’m pretty much the most renowned in the country."

"Although Gu Chen is formidable, his expertise lies in criminal cases, whereas I excel in divorces and property division. In this field, Gu Chen can’t match , though I’m not good with criminal cases."

Zhou Wenjing laughed and replied, "Of course! Lawyer Han, you’re the top lawyer here. How could Wang Zhihao be any challenge? We won the first and second trials, and we’ll win this final one too!"

Han Jingjing said, "Avoid further conflicts with Wang Zhihao. Once this case is over, move on. Don’t let things escalate and waste my ti."

Zhou Wenjing quickly nodded, "Okay, no problem."

Han Jingjing remained confident.

Could this case possibly be lost?

She had reviewed Gu Chen’s records. Gu Chen had dealt exclusively with criminal cases and was indeed impressive, even getting the gavel-bearers prosecuted.

Gu Chen’s popularity was equally high.

Today, if she won against Gu Chen, it would shatter his unbeaten streak!

Her reputation would spike trendously!

For today’s case, Han Jingjing was fully determined to succeed!

Han Jingjing looked at Zhou Wenjing, saying, "Work well with later on. If we stick to this plan... I assure you that Wang Zhihao will compensate you more! He’ll definitely walk away with nothing, though I can’t ensure all four kids’ support fees, at most three. But he’ll definitely pay you more money."

Zhou Wenjing nodded excitedly, "Mm, mm, I’ll leave it all to Lawyer Han."

Ti flew quickly.

Half an hour had passed.

The hearing ti had arrived!

Gu Chen and Xue Qingqing arrived in the courtroom.

Wang Zhihao also stood in the courtroom.

"The courtroom is now in session," the court clerk announced.

"Courtroom protocol announcent: Litigation participants must adhere to legal procedures, maintain courtroom order, and not engage in noisy or disruptive behavior; statents, depositions, and argunts must be permitted by the presiding judge or adjudicating judge."

The clerk addressed the courtroom, saying, "Ready to proceed with the session. In accordance with Article 137, Clause 1 of the Civil Procedure Law, the courtroom protocols are announced as follows:

1. Litigation participants must obtain permission from adjudicators before questioning and should use civil language, with personal attacks strictly prohibited....

2. ...

3. ...

Please welco the presiding and adjudicating judges to enter and take their seats. Report to the presiding judge, the preparations for the session are complete."

Everyone stood up!

The presiding judge and adjudicating judge all took their seats!

The chief judge of the Supre People’s Court was nad Lin Zhong.

Lin Zhong struck the gavel, "Quiet! Please be seated!"

Everyone sat down.

Lin Zhong, as the presiding judge, glanced at the docunts in his hand.

Lin Zhong said, "The matter of this case is the divorce between Wang Zhihao and Zhou Wenjing. Following unsuccessful negotiations, Wang Zhihao filed a suit for divorce from Zhou Wenjing."

"This case has already undergone a first and second trial."

"The second trial’s result: Wang Zhihao and Zhou Wenjing were ordered to divorce, with Wang Zhihao leaving without possessions. The division of assets was as follows: Wang Zhihao’s car, house, and all properties were awarded to Zhou Wenjing, and Wang Zhihao was to pay child support for three children. Dissatisfied, Wang Zhihao appealed."

"This case will be heard by the Supre People’s Court in final review. Litigation parties, please state your claims and grounds."

Chief Judge Wang Zhong looked toward Gu Chen.

Gu Chen began, "Presiding Judge, our claims are as follows:"

"Firstly, to rule the divorce of Wang Zhihao and Zhou Wenjing."

"Secondly, to order Zhou Wenjing to leave without possessions, granting all properties, including car and house, to Wang Zhihao, and for Zhou Wenjing to repay Wang Zhihao 864,143 yuan."

"Thirdly, the three children are not Wang Zhihao’s biologically. Wang Zhihao has provided for the three over the years, including but not limited to food, clothing, entertainnt, education, costing a total of 135,412 yuan, requiring Zhou Wenjing as the guardian of the three children to reimburse Wang Zhihao 135,412 yuan."

"Fourthly, to demand Zhou Wenjing compensate Wang Zhihao for ntal distress, totaling 500,000 yuan."

"Fifthly, to require Zhou Wenjing to compensate us for all costs of the three lawsuits, totaling 401,254 yuan."

Gu Chen presented five litigation claims!

Each request fiercer than the last!

All demanded Zhou Wenjing to pay!

To make Zhou Wenjing leave with nothing, to make Zhou Wenjing pay!

Even Wang Zhihao himself was stunned.

What?

He never considered these claims.

His claim was rely to avoid paying child support...

Everything else, he could grit his teeth and accept!

But... the five claims Gu Chen put forth left Wang Zhihao trembling slightly.

If... if he could receive that much money...

If he could get his house back too!

He’d be worth over a million, with a house!

Even if the car was totaled, it was worth a few thousand, no biggie, he could buy another one!!

He was only forty...

A forty-year-old man, with a house, car, and over a million in savings, getting remarried wouldn’t be hard at all!

For a mont, hope sparkled again in Wang Zhihao’s eyes.

No matter the outco of the case, Wang Zhihao indeed felt a sense of hope!

On the defendant’s bench.

Upon hearing so many claims, Zhou Wenjing was furious.

What the hell is Wang Zhihao playing at?

Not wanting to pay child support was one thing...

But now he’s demanding money from her?

This was outrageous!
