Such a dramatic event wasn't sothing only Masata and his group witnessed. The deafening explosion and overwhelming visuals were clearly seen by tourists and coastal residents alike. Even a full day later, volcanic ash still lingered in the sky, refusing to dissipate.
Public reaction was intense. Reporters sward the area, and nearly every major headline that morning was dominated by news of the eruption. Since no prior warning had been issued, governnt departnts were overwheld, and ordinary citizens were understandably panicked. No one liked the idea of discovering an active volcano near their ho overnight.
"Well, I've already explained everything," Masata said calmly. "My Quirk was just the trigger. The real cause was the magma already beneath the island. I simply forced it all out at once. That area should be safe for a long ti now."

"Yes," Masata replied, his expression turning grave. "If there hadn't been so many, I wouldn't have used such an extre solution. Even ants can kill an elephant in large enough numbers—and so of those creatures were genuinely powerful."
His mind flashed back to the four-legged snake that had ambushed him inside the magma. Even now, the mory sent a chill through him.
"Actually," All Might continued, "similar creatures appeared in Kyushu just the day before yesterday. That group wasn't nearly as strong—more like enhanced wild beasts, without signs of genetic fusion. They were quickly dealt with by Pro Heroes, so I didn't think much of it at the ti. But now… it's starting to look connected."
"Preditated?" Masata asked, surprised.
Aizawa responded flatly, "We haven't found any direct link yet. The Kyushu beasts appeared suddenly in the wilderness and were stopped in the suburbs. No suspicious facilities or traces were found—almost as if they appeared out of thin air."
He paused before adding, "The island you were on, however, was clearly a stronghold. Soone had been there years ago, but nothing unusual happened back then. That suggests the base was built recently—and you stumbled onto it by accident."
With so few usable clues, All Might and Aizawa wrapped up the statents and completed the police procedures before leaving.
As for Masata and the others using their Quirks, the authorities ruled it as justified self-defense. There were no civilian casualties, and very few people were aware of the full truth. After a written review, the matter was closed.
To the public, the eruption was officially classified as a natural accident. How the experts explained it was none of their concern.
The aftermath—investigating the island and searching for additional strongholds—was handed over entirely to Pro Heroes.
Just like that, the incident passed without further complication.
What was supposed to be a seven-day vacation ended abruptly. After seeing the news coverage, parents began calling nonstop to check on their children. With no choice, everyone packed up and returned ho.
Back in familiar surroundings, Masata was greeted by his parents' worried yet relieved expressions. He hugged them tightly and told them about the "interesting" parts of the trip—carefully omitting the truly dangerous details to avoid causing further concern.
Once he finally reassured them that he was safe, Masata's thoughts drifted back to the mont the underground volcano erupted.
If I could fully control surface magma as well… no one would be able to stand against , he thought. Destroying the world might only take a single decision.
He clenched his fist. Having witnessed that power firsthand, Masata found himself captivated by its overwhelming violence. He even felt that not even All Might could survive at the center of such an eruption.
anwhile, Yaoyorozu and Chacha had also returned ho, reuniting with their families.
After a few days of rest, a ssage arrived from the school.
"The Forest Training Camp is about to begin!"
