"Aiden... Oi, Aiden, wake up! I can tell that you have regained consciousness by now. Just how long do you want to pretend to sleep? Even ’they’ know you are awake."

The male stalker blinked as he woke up. His younger sister’s voice pierced through the fog around his mind, and Aiden was finally able to pay attention to what she was saying.

Once his brain adjusted, he noticed a few things.

First, he and his sister had been defeated and captured. But the person who had captured them had decided to keep them alive, aning they still had so use to that person.

And second, there were two people currently glaring at them from the other side of the room, and they did not look happy.

The kid looked especially rugged, and he was also growling. The sounds he made didn’t sound human, but it was tough to tell what kind of magic the kid was using.

"Where is he? Tell where you put my human, and I will let you live."

The kid growled, his eyes glowing in the low light of the room. They looked otherworldly, and for the first ti, the sibling pair felt a genuine sense of fear.

Luckily for them, they were needed alive, so Elder Eryndorius interfered before anything could happen to them.

"Calm down, Azgarethorax. Getting angry and harming these humans would only delay our search. It will be much better to ask them to tell us Liam’s location."

Elder Eryndorius looked like an angel in that mont, and the sibling pair couldn’t help but marvel at his presence in the room. To them, the elder seed to be glowing with rcy, but this did not last.

"Well, since we don’t have much ti, I guess I’ll have to drag the answer out of these people. Just give a minute—"

The elder stepped toward the sibling pair and recited his spell. The siblings felt their minds go blank as the elder asked his first question.

"So, would you both mind telling if you ca across ’Liam Sanders’ and what you did with him?"

Leglois spoke first, her body unable to control itself, as the answer was forced out of her mouth.

"We did catch that human, but I don’t rember how we did it. While on my mission, we sohow managed to knock him out using drugs and took him to the boss. Once that was done, we were asked to bring Aria Duskwood to our boss as well."

The female spilled everything, including the location of where her boss was. Her brother filled in the blanks she left in her statent.

It was easy to piece together what had happened, along with the reason behind this ss—the now-dead man who had caused trouble in Lucas’s shop.

As expected, Azgarethorax was the first to react. He looked and sounded angry, storming past everyone to get to the door.

But before he could leave, a chain wrapped itself around his wrist, holding him in place.

"I am going to kill that bastard. Oi! What do you think you’re doing? Do you want to lose my mind?"

Asger asked in an annoyed voice, snapping the chain off his wrist without a second thought.

The half-dragon had consud more than his required share of Liam’s magic to survive, and as a result, he had regained a huge portion of his previous strength.

Just standing in front of a half-dragon was sothing that Elder Erin did not want to do. His senses told him that he was courting death by attempting this.

And yet, despite all this, Elder Erin decided to hold his ground firmly. He was doing this for the sake of humanity’s future.

"Aria, I need your help to secure the kid. Do whatever you have to do to get him under control."

Elder Erin spoke in a firm voice, leaving no room for argunt, but Aria didn’t seem as keen on this as he had hoped.

"Huh? We’re fighting a kid now? I don’t know about that—"

The said ’kid’ decided he was tired of being bound and let so of his power loose. That finally made Aria realize the kid was a problem, and she beca alert.

"On second thought, maybe a fight with this kid would be fun. Let see what this kid is made of."

Aria sounded confident and threw the first punch. But she didn’t even reach the kid before an overwhelming presence stopped her in her tracks. The half-dragon was losing his reason—and he was losing it fast.

Aria quickly realized she was at a severe disadvantage. The half-dragon, was leagues above her in magical prowess.

The sheer aura radiating from him made her own magic feel insignificant in comparison. She was quick-witted enough to understand that continuing a magical battle against him would only result in her defeat.

"Fine. If magic won’t work, let’s see how you handle in close combat."

Aria muttered under her breath, determination sparking in her eyes. It was ti for her to change tactics and try sothing different. She was sure she would be able to do sothing.

She lunged forward, her body moving with precision honed by years of training. Her punches and kicks were calculated, aiming for weak spots and joints.

But the mont her fist connected with Asger’s arm, she felt an unnatural resistance, as if she had struck solid steel.

"Is that all you’ve got?"

Asger sneered, his voice dripping with condescension. He didn’t even flinch as he countered her attack with a swift movent of his tail, catching her off guard and sending her skidding across the room.

The attack did not even seem to have made any impact on the half-dragon. It was a crushing defeat for Aria and for the first ti, she felt like she was on the losing side in a fight.

’How weird. This has never happened to before. But I cannot let this continue any further. I need to let my magic run wild.’

Aria Duskwood was outclassed but she seed to not have realized it just yet.
