"Ugh, how long do we have to be in here for? Do these humans think they can keep this mighty Azgarethorax Malfiros, the Abyssal Wyrm of Eternal Desolation, locked in here forever? I will show them—"

"Asger, be quiet. All your yelling is giving a headache. And it has not even been that long since we were locked in here. It’s only been... 1 hour. Shit, it’s already been an hour? What the heck."

Liam complained as he looked down at his system in shock.

It felt rely like ten minutes since he had been brought to this chamber, but the system would not lie to him about sothing as minor as ti.

"Dear food, have you finally co around to my type of thinking? Should I break down the door and let us out?"

The half-dragon asked, and Liam quickly snapped back to attention.

"The answer to that is still no. I don’t have enough money to be able to pay for any damages we cause—"

"Shhh, human. Keep quiet for a minute. I think I can hear soone walking toward us. I can also feel this human’s magic, and it feels much more powerful than the ones I am used to feeling. Of course, it is nothing compared to your aura... but still..."

The fact that Asger felt the need to comnt like this made Liam curious enough to let his guard down. Now even he was curious to see the person who had made Asger go speechless like this.

He waited, and the door finally opened. A woman around the age of 25 stood behind the open door, and her rough and unkempt appearance was the first thing Asger noticed about her... unfortunately, her stupid expression was the next.

"Excuse ... is this not the storage room? I was here to get so chips and Coke..."

The female spoke softly, but she sounded confused as well.

Because she was standing in front of Liam without any obstacle now, he could sense her magic clearly. And in terms of potential, she had the potential to be an A-class based on his skill set... maybe even an S.

Still nowhere near his potential, but she definitely had the most amount of magic potential he had seen until now... not that he had seen a lot.

"Oi, what should I do? Should I knock her out?"

Asger asked in a tense voice as he readied himself for combat. His hostility caused the female to react at once, but she still looked confused.

"Hey, are you trying to get between and my food? Did our guild master ask you to keep away from the food because I have been eating too much these days? Tsk, you better get out of my way before I get angry—"

"Miss Aria... what are you doing in the holding chambers? I thought you were going to get so food in the pantry. It is on the other side of this building..."

Before the fight could begin, soone butted in and decided to speak up.

"Huh? Is this not the pantry?... I an, I knew that. I was just testing these people to see if they would tell about it or not. Looks like they have passed. You can let them go now."

The silver-haired beauty assured with a smile on her face. But the worker she was addressing did not seem to share her joy.

Instead, he looked worried and kept glancing between Aria and the duo inside the room. Finally, he sighed and decided to tell the silver-haired lady that she was causing a problem for him.

"Miss Aria, I am afraid that I cannot do that. These people were brought in by the guild leader because of the dungeon incident. We cannot let them go until they have been investigated properly and we get a go-ahead from our guild leader."

The worker almost sounded tense when he spoke. He looked nervous, and for good reason.

If, for any reason, soone as powerful as Aria Duskwood were to lose her temper, he would be done for. So, he wanted to keep her happy while keeping his job at the sa ti.

"I knew that. You see, I was testing you as well by asking you to let these people go. Of course, if you were to bow under the pressure of soone from another guild like , then you would not be worth working under Sister Emily. It’s nice to see you did not fall for it... I should head out now. I am still hungry."

No sooner had Miss Aria said that, she disappeared down the hallway, causing the other three to continue looking at her back.

Liam felt second-hand embarrassnt just looking at and hearing Aria talk, and he did not even know her. But just because he did not comnt did not an that no one else would.

"Hey, human, is that female dumb or sothing? If she was wrong, she should admit it instead of making excuses like she did. Don’t you think you should talk to her—"

Liam quickly closed Asger’s mouth before he could make anyone feel triggered. The half-dragon was the last person Liam wanted to hear these words from.

Once Liam was sure Asger would not speak up again, he looked at the guard in front of him. Thankfully, it looked as if the guard had not taken offense to the words he heard, and he even chuckled at Asger’s words.

"Ah, I wish I could do that, kid. But Lady Aria Duskwood’s situation is a little... unique. Ever since her birth, she was gifted with incredible magic, and she was even born into a family full of magicians. But because of her... unique... circumstances, she was never taught common sense and only taught how to use magic.

As a result... well, she is a little dumb at tis, but she has a good heart and a capable head on her shoulders. So you don’t have to worry about her. After all, it’s not like you will ever et again."

The guard assured, but sohow, Liam had a bad feeling that things were not going to go as anyone planned them to.
