Today was the day the tour group was leaving.
The polar night sky was graced by a rare dayti aurora.
A dazzling, magnificent aurora appeared before them in a breathtaking display.
The tourists, who had been dragging their luggage and slowly heading toward the airport, reluctant to leave the Crown Territory, were all suddenly captivated by the wondrous sight.
Everyone stopped in their tracks. Suitcases were tossed aside as they pulled out phones, caras, and camcorders to capture the mont.
Feng Shan stood to the side with the camp’s employees.
If Zhang Kai hadn’t kept warning them they’d be late for their flight, the tourists might have tried to stay another day.
On the airport runway.
Three DHC-6s had been waiting for so ti. Two planes would have been enough to carry the tour group away.
However, the tourists had bought a ton of local souvenirs—mostly leather goods from Daisen’s leather shop, things like fur coats and leather boots. Made of pure animal hide and handcrafted, they were even cheaper than back ho.
Feng Shan found this baffling.
Most of the tour group mbers were from southern cities.
Back ho, it rarely even snowed in winter; a few flurries were enough to make them happy for half a day.
’Did they really need to buy pure fur coats? Weren’t they afraid of getting a heat rash?’
But seeing Daisen grinning from ear to ear, it didn’t seem to matter.
’The rich can do whatever they want. Why overthink it?’
The runway guide lights were all on, shining brilliantly in the darkness.
Feng Shan stood at the front of the employee line, bidding farewell to each tourist. After all, they would be promoting the Crown Territory when they returned.
"Have a safe trip! We hope you’ll visit the Crown Territory again."
"I hope your ti here in the Crown Territory was enjoyable."
"Take care. Co back and visit when you have the ti."
HEY, HEY, HEY!!
’Wait a minute... those two aren’t tourists.’
Feng Shan grabbed two shady-looking figures trying to hide among the tourists.
"And where do you two think you’re going?"
"Brother Feng, I was planning on heading back ho, so I thought I’d hitch a ride," Su Ziweng said, taking off his hat with a fawning expression.
"I’m just seeing Wenwen to the airport. I was worried he’d get lost," Young Master Xu added.
Feng Shan didn’t even bother to give them a proper look.
One of them was supposed to be in the seafood business but just holed up at the camp, drinking himself into a stupor.
The other ran a restaurant but had completely dropped the ball and vanished. He woke up when everyone else went to sleep and slept when they were awake; his biological clock was completely reversed.
"You two need to get a grip!"
"Young Master Xu, how is the *River Beach* doing? How many Emperor Crabs have you sold?"
"Young Master Su, your restaurant is on the verge of closing down! How many tis have you seen the tourists eat there? That’s a real-money investnt; you can’t just let it all go down the drain!"
The two of them lowered their heads in sha.
Young Master Xu rubbed his eyes, pretending to cry, and said pitifully, "Brother Feng, ever since Hong Xin took over the business, she won’t let get involved. I have nothing to do now but fool around."
Beside him, Su Ziweng also chid in with an explanation.
"The Chinese restaurant isn’t working. The tourists from back ho aren’t buying it. I was planning on going ho to get so fresh ideas, see if there’s a way to get the business going."
’He’d said what needed to be said and tried to persuade them.’
’What could he do if they refused to listen?’
’It all ca down to fate. So people are born in Ro, while others are born to be beasts of burden.’
Feng Shan waved his hand in resignation. "Go on, get out of here. Look at you two, so pathetic."
"We’re off, then!" Su Ziweng and Young Master Xu exchanged a look, then turned and scurried into the plane’s cabin.
Zhang Kai was the last to board.
The two n didn’t exchange many words. They just shook hands and patted each other on the shoulder.
So things didn’t need to be said; everything was understood without a word.
As the three planes took off one by one and disappeared into the clouds, the Crown Territory returned to its usual tranquility.
Feng Shan turned to his employees, raised his arms, and shouted.
"Starting now, you’re all on break! Nash, pick out one steer and two sheep! We’re having a barbecue right here on the Tundra! Demi, bring out the alcohol and the speakers! Jenny, get the grill! David, run the power over! The party’s on tonight!"
Before he even finished speaking...
...a cheer erupted on the runway.
Only in a remote corner did four old n gather by their loneso.
"What do we do? It seems like they’ve forgotten about us."
"They forgot about *you*, not . My apprentice is still here."
"Hmph. I’m the architectural technical consultant."
"And I’m the logistics and transportation consultant."
Old Li, Old Zhao, and Old Zhang chuckled and walked over to join the cheering crowd, leaving only an indignant Old Liu muttering under his breath.
’Damn it!’
’I’m Feng Shan’s consultant, too.’
’But he’s never once co to for advice.’
...
Outside the camp, a lively and bustling scene was already unfolding.
Strings of small, colorful lights were draped across the mossy ground, casting a soft, warm glow and creating a uniquely cozy atmosphere.
The employees, now off the clock, were in full swing setting up the party: arranging tables and chairs, setting up a temporary stage, tuning the sound system, and assembling the barbecue grills.
Nash, anwhile, led the mbers of the Bear Tribe to the site, herding two Angus cattle and two sheep.
Feng Shan had originally said one cow would be enough, thinking the party would be a modest size. But he later realized that quite a few people were still at the camp.
With everyone gathered together for a lively celebration, one cow probably wouldn’t be enough.
So, he decided to go all out and ordered two of the finest Angus cattle. The at from Angus cattle is tender, juicy, and has an excellent texture, making it the perfect main course for a party.
In Alaska, there are generally three ways to slaughter cattle.
The first is to shoot it and then bleed it out. A firearm is used to shoot the cow in the head, rendering it unconscious or killing it, before its throat is cut to drain the blood.
The second thod is electrocution. Specialized equipnt is used to deliver an electric shock, instantly rendering the cow unconscious and immobile. However, this thod can affect the quality of the at.
