"Yes, yes, yes!" Luna cheered, jumping up and down joyfully.

The nurse quickly reminded her to stay calm, or else her heart might feel uncomfortable again.

"Shh!" Luna smiled brightly, putting a finger to her lips, "Daddy, let’s be quiet."

Elias Warner looked down gently, "So, what do you want?"

"Hmm... Daddy already gave a Peace Lock... asking for more makes a bit shy, hehe..."

But before Elias could say anything, the little one greedily said, "I want Daddy and Mommy to be with during the surgery."

Luna dread of this.

In the past, she had always been alone in the hospital.

Every ti she saw other kids with their parents, she wanted to cry.

But she had to hold it in, or else her mother would be sad to see her tears.

Her mother always said that her father was a hero, who went far away to help other kids in need.

Although she always agreed, she felt that her father never ca to see her, maybe because he had died.

If not, perhaps he abandoned her because of her illness.

She never expected that one day her father would descend from the sky like a god!

But she’s so greedy!

Her father ca to see her, yet she dared to wish for both her parents to co together.

However, seeing her father’s expression, it seed that this wish couldn’t co true.

The little one pouted and tugged at her fingers in disappointnt, "So does that an Mommy won’t co?"

A sharp pain struck Elias Warner’s heart; he rarely felt regret in his life, but at this mont, regret surged through him. Regret for wanting to grant Luna a wish.

Even he had desires... that couldn’t be fulfilled.

Unable to resist, he pinched Luna’s small, thin cheek and made her a promise, "If you undergo the surgery obediently, I promise that when you wake up, the first person you’ll see is Mommy, okay?!"

Luna’s eyes sparkled, "Really, Daddy?"

"I’m not lying to you."

"Dr. Flora, co quickly! I’m ready for surgery! Daddy told that when I wake up, I’ll see Mommy!"

Beside them, Dr. Flora, who had been worried, felt relieved seeing this scene.

"Alright, alright. Our lovely Luna, let’s do a check-up first. Once it’s done, we can prepare for the surgery," Flora said and instructed the nurse to take Luna to the operating room.

The surgery might take over ten hours.

There was also so preparation work needed beforehand!

Since Luna was in such good spirits, there was no need to wait any longer.

Because up until now, Luna’s mother’s phone remained unreachable.

Dr. Flora nodded at Elias Warner, "Mr. Warner, thank you so much for today!"

Elias Warner replied, "I’ll wait outside. Don’t worry about the surgery; I’ll take care of everything outside!"

This man naturally had a trustworthy aura, not to ntion the deanor of a leader.

All of this made Flora believe that he was no ordinary person.

Even in this world-renowned hospital, having seen so many major events, Flora never doubted her judgnt of this man.

After leaving the examination room, Elias Warner received the phone number of Luna’s mother from Dr. Flora.

In the corridor outside, Elias Warner’s tall and upright figure blended into the night. His suit jacket rested over his arm, collar open, and he furrowed his brows coldly.

He dialed a number back ho.

"Check the exact details and location of the owner of this phone for !"

Soon, they called back, "The registered area is a poor village in Rovan, and the person’s na is Jane Shaw. But currently, she is located at Breslin General Hospital in Breslin."

Elias Warner’s brow furrowed, "Okay. Send the exact location."

Since Luna’s mother was already in the hospital, why hadn’t she shown up yet?

Moreover, how could a woman from a poor village afford two million and send her daughter to one of the world’s top hospitals?

With these doubts, Elias received the location point.

Just as Elias was about to go and find her, the nurses started pushing Luna out.

"Daddy! You wait for outside, okay... If Mommy cos, you have to wait outside with her for ..." Luna lay on the gurney.

She was so small.

Not even half the size of the bed.

Thin and tiny, yet when she smiled, she had two dimples and a set of small tiger teeth, with a beautiful mole on her little nose.

Elias Warner bent down to her side, encouraging her, "Yes, yes! Luna is the bravest, Mommy’s pride! Rember, Mommy and Daddy always love you!"

"Mm-hmm-hmm."

The surgical gurney was about to enter the operating room doors.

Luna craned her neck to look outside, her eyes welled with tears.

"What’s wrong, Luna?"

Elias Warner bent down to ask.

Luna, tears blurring her vision, said, "Daddy, can we wait just one more minute? I still miss Mommy..."

Mommy had promised her...

Never going back on her word.

Even Dr. Flora, on the side, had tears in her eyes.

Luna feared burdening others.

She tugged at Elias Warner’s sleeve, "Daddy, do you think Luna is annoying? I’m just afraid... that I’ll never see Mommy again!"

She had a best friend. It was Dottie in the next room.

The two often stuck their butts up together to play.

But one day, Dottie went in for surgery and told her that he’d beco a superhero and that she should wait patiently outside.

After the surgery, he’d play Red Light Green Light with her.

But Dottie was a liar.

Since then, she’d never seen Dottie again.

Once, she overheard the nurses gossiping, saying Dottie never woke up on the operating table.

She’d never see Dottie again.

And Dottie would never see his mommy again!

She was afraid she’d end up like Dottie.

Elias Warner’s heart suddenly ached, unsure of how to console her further.

"Daddy has so good news for you."

"What’s that?"

"Mommy is already here at the hospital!"

Suddenly.

As if to prove his words.

Footsteps echoed from afar.

A woman’s voice was heard from the distance.

"Wait a minute!"

Luna sat up excitedly from the bed, pointing across the way to Elias Warner.

"Daddy, look! It’s Mommy!"

Everyone present was shocked, and they all turned around to look in the direction of the voice.

The corridor lights followed that figure.

Elias Warner also slowly stood up, narrowing his eyes to look over.
