"Do you recruit female pilots?" Annelise asked with surprise.

"Female pilots? Sure, there are no gender requirents. Why? Do you want to join?" Caden handed a flyer to Annelise.

"Yes, I want to join. Ever since I was a child, my dream was to beco a female pilot, but I’ve never achieved it. If there’s an opportunity now, of course, I want to try!"

"Sure, fill out your information later and send it to for a look!"

Caden didn’t expect that such a quiet-looking Annelise harbored such a daring wish.

Being a pilot requires a lot of courage.

It’s not an aspiration most won dare to have.

"Okay, I’ll send you the information when I get back. I’ll leave now; you must be busy!"

"Alright!"

Caden looked at Annelise with newfound respect.

Annelise held the flyer and only realized after leaving Caden that her sudden action was impulsive. She nearly forgot she was about to leave Kybourne.

She wondered if Renee had any ways to help her leave The Airline and Elias faster.

Annelise sighed, thinking that if it weren’t for these trivial matters, she might already have beco an excellent pilot by now.

Holding the flyer, she felt regret for a long ti before finally tossing it into the trash.

She returned to the office and called her daughter, Luna, to comfort her, explaining she couldn’t have dinner with her that night due to work.

Luna had long been accustod to her mother’s absence.

Living like this for years, even though she was used to it, there was still so loneliness.

After all, what child doesn’t hope for both parents to be by their side?

Annelise knew very well that over the years, the person she owed the most was Luna, having her move around so much at such a young age, not even knowing who her father was right after being born.

Now that she had found her father, she still couldn’t let them et.

As she was about to leave the city, never to return again, she was determined to have Elias accompany Luna for a birthday celebration, as a gift to her.

After hanging up, Annelise headed out to hail a cab.

At The Airline’s entrance, she ran into June.

June stopped Annelise: "Annelise, co ho with today; Dad and Mom have sothing to say to you!"

Annelise lifted her gaze, glanced at June, and remained unmoved.

"Annelise, didn’t you hear ? I said co ho with !"

June pouted angrily and repeated her words.

"June, did you forget? I have nothing to do with the Winter Family now! They’re your parents, not mine. Besides, I’ve moved my household registration out of the Winter Family; don’t expect to go back!"

Annelise glanced at June and continued walking forward.

She wanted to go to the taxi stand to catch a ride back to the old house.

The autumn chill made her wrap her cashre coat tighter.

She stood at the stand, looking around.

"Screech" — a black Maybach stopped in front of her.

The license plate was all too familiar, it was Elias Warner.

The window rolled down, revealing Elias’s slightly haggard yet handso face.

"Get in."

Annelise stayed silent.

"What? Aren’t you going back to the old house?"

Elias remarked coldly, "It’s fine if you’re embarrassed about getting a ride from , you can save up the fare and pay back later if you insist."

Annelise didn’t feel any embarrassnt.

In the past, she might have needed to avoid suspicion, but now, since Renee had already announced at the eting that she and Elias were only siblings, taking his car ho together was no big deal.

After all, she’d been standing at the taxi stand for half an hour.

And for so reason, the taxis were unusually slow today.

The driver, Uncle Ford, glanced at the two in the backseat and sighed inwardly.

Clearly, the young master still had feelings for Miss Winter.

Moreover, he had watched Miss Winter grow up.

Compared to the young master, she was quite a match, but everything changed since her identity shifted, no longer the Winter Family’s heiress.

Just now, to ensure Miss Winter got into his car, the young master even scared off three taxis to "coincidentally" bump into Annelise here.

He stayed silent, and the car’s atmosphere was awkward.

Annelise and Elias didn’t speak.

"Where are your docunts? Household register? ID card?" Elias suddenly asked.

"At the apartnt, why? Why are you asking this out of the blue?" Annelise replied without thinking.

But regretted it imdiately, unsure of what Elias intended to do by asking.

She couldn’t shake the feeling that sothing bad was looming.

"Uncle Ford, drive to Miss Winter’s apartnt!"

"Yes, young master!"

Uncle Ford turned the car towards the small apartnt Annelise had bought.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the apartnt.

"Get out!"

Elias commanded, eyes on Annelise, his voice cold.

"What are you doing? Why are we at the apartnt?"

"I’m here to take your docunts. As the company’s image ambassador, you’ve done too many outrageous things in just half a month, not even showing up at the office. Now I seriously doubt what other tricks you might pull, so I must hold onto your docunts to prevent you from causing any more unnecessary trouble for the company!"

Elias exited the car, opening the door for Annelise as he explained.

"You! Elias Warner, haven’t I been away for half a month because you took to Breslin? Don’t you know the reason?"

This guy clearly knew why she stayed in Breslin for half a month and now had the nerve to say she left the company on her own, causing losses?

"Yes, I did take you to Breslin, but after that, I didn’t tie you down. Why did you stay there for half a month?"

Elias wanted Annelise to admit she stayed the half month because she was worried about him, so she wouldn’t return.

Annelise pouted angrily, hesitating.

"I had so personal matters to handle in Breslin; they were my private affairs, which have nothing to do with President Warner, right? You have my word I won’t leave suddenly again, so there’s no need to take my docunts, right?"

If Elias took her docunts, even with Renee’s help, she wouldn’t be able to leave Kybourne.

"You have absolutely no credibility with anymore!"

Elias Warner was a bit angry, this woman was still pretending.

Clearly, according to Caden Lynch, she waited for half a month in Breslin for his news, not daring to leave the villa even a step, fearing he might return suddenly.

Now she was telling him she had personal matters to handle in Breslin.

Let’s see how long she can keep the act.

Uncle Ford shook his head.

Such childish antics from their young master made him want to laugh.

It was obvious he was afraid Annelise would run away and disappear.

Now he was using the company as an excuse to seize her docunts.

Truly "shaless."

Elias Warner dragged Annelise into the apartnt, instructing her to find her docunts.

Annelise had no choice; it seed he was determined.

She could only take out her ID card and hand it to Elias Warner.

"Can I leave now?"

Suddenly, Annelise regretted taking Elias Warner’s car.

She should have continued waiting for a cab at the taxi stand.

Elias Warner smirked.

"Just an ID card? What about the passport? Household registration?"

"Why do you need those? Isn’t an ID card enough?"

Annelise bit her lip, feeling speechless.

Elias Warner directly stepped past Annelise, brushing past her, and took her household registration and passport from the drawer where she had just retrieved her ID card.

He had just seen the other docunts she exposed when taking out the ID card.

Annelise was shocked.

When she finally reacted, it was too late.

She could only watch helplessly as her docunts fell into Elias Warner’s hands.

"Elias Warner, give back my household registration and passport!"

Annelise was anxious.

She could easily replace the ID card given to Elias Warner, but the passport and household registration would be much more troubleso.

It was incredibly difficult to replace them quickly.

"These docunts are to be submitted to the company. As long as you can assure the company’s interests and not disappear suddenly, they will be returned to you after the promotional video shoot!"

Well then, the promotional video would only take a week to shoot.

Although Annelise was unhappy, she knew arguing with Elias Warner wouldn’t be beneficial.

They left the apartnt together.

Uncle Ford was waiting downstairs.

Seeing them return, he imdiately opened the car door.

They returned to the old mansion together.

Renee Perry was already waiting in the hall.

Annelise and Elias Warner entered the old mansion together.

Seeing them return together, Renee Perry maintained a neutral expression.

Sitting on the sofa, Sylvia Lowell was internally displeased.

She had warned Annelise long ago not to stay with Elias Warner.

But now it seed Annelise was intentionally antagonizing her.

This ti she even returned to the old mansion with Elias Warner.

Sylvia Lowell clenched her teeth, feeling furious.

But with Renee Perry present, she couldn’t lash out.

"Why are you here?" Elias Warner frowned, quite displeased, sweeping a glance at Sylvia Lowell.

"I was bored by myself at ho, so I called Sylvia to accompany !" Renee Perry explained.

Without waiting for Elias Warner to speak, Renee Perry turned to Mama Langdon standing on the side and said, "Mama Langdon, let’s eat, Elias and Annelise are back!"

Having gone to Annelise’s apartnt in the middle of it, they were delayed; it was already ti to eat when they arrived at the old mansion.

Mama Langdon promptly arranged for the al.

Everyone sat at the sa table.

Sylvia Lowell and Annelise sat beside Elias Warner.

"Annelise, you’re the adopted daughter of the Warner Family, considered one of them. Although Sylvia is Elias’s fiancée, she’s still a guest today. Pour her so tea!"

Renee Perry’s expression was displeased.

Staring at Annelise, who was dining alone.

Annelise stood up, picked up the teapot, and walked over to Sylvia Lowell.

Sylvia Lowell quickly said, "Thank you, sister!"

Annelise held the cup Sylvia Lowell drank water from in one hand, and the teapot in the other.

Sylvia Lowell quickly said, "Annelise, let do it myself!"

Sylvia Lowell deliberately reached for the cup as Annelise was pouring water, and inadvertently, she was scalded.

"Hiss"

Annelise winced in pain, softly humming.

"What happened?" Elias Warner quickly stood up to check.

"Sorry, Annelise, I didn’t an it, I just thought I could do it myself..."

"Splash"

Annelise directly poured the freshly boiled cup of water onto Sylvia Lowell’s arm.

"Ah"

Sylvia Lowell howled in pain, shouting.

Renee Perry abruptly stood up, angrily shouting at Annelise, "Annelise, what are you doing? You got scalded, it wasn’t Sylvia’s fault, why did you pour it on her!"
