Annelise didn’t notice the hostile gaze from June Winter.

After work.
"Annelise, are you working overti at The Airline today?"
Chloe Joyce always thought that Annelise worked very hard.
Over the past few years, she often worked overti until very late.

She only stopped until they reached Mrs. Lockwood’s villa.
Annelise got out of the car and went inside.
June Winter parked her car at the villa’s entrance and cautiously approached outside the villa, peering through the door’s crack.
Luna saw Annelise coming in from the second floor of the villa and quickly ran downstairs towards the door.
"Mommy, Mommy!"
She gave Annelise a big hug.
Mrs. Lockwood also walked over, displaying a kind expression as she watched the two embrace.
"Luna has been talking about you all day. You didn’t co yesterday, and she was fussing about calling you before she would go to sleep!"
Speaking of Luna, Mrs. Lockwood’s lips curled up.
She really liked this little girl.
Luna brought her a lot of joy.
"Thank you, Grandma Lockwood!"
Annelise appreciated it.
When she didn’t co back, it was always Mrs. Lockwood taking care of Luna.
"Why are you being so polite with again? Co, I’ve had the kitchen prepare a al. Let’s go eat together!"
Mrs. Lockwood held Luna’s hand, and Luna held Annelise’s hand as the three of them headed toward the hall.
June Winter left the Lockwood villa only after the three of them disappeared from sight.
She sat in her car, seething.
She didn’t expect Annelise to actually have a child with Chase Perry!
This matter isn’t over!
Chase Perry had kept this from her, and they had even registered their marriage.
"Annelise, oh Annelise, weren’t you always sneaking around with Chase Perry? Since that’s the case, I’ll help you make it public. Let’s see how you’ll manage at The Airline afterwards!"
June Winter directly dialed a number to contact soone.
She stepped on the gas and left the Lockwood villa.

Annelise had just sat down in the office when she heard a commotion outside.
The corridor was crowded with people.
Chloe Joyce, hearing the noise outside, also ca out to look.
People were talking in whispers.
"Why is June Winter holding a child? Isn’t this child the one Captain Warner took to the hospital?"
"Yes, that’s the little girl. I even saw her on the plane, sneaking out of the hospital in Breslin, calling Captain Warner ’Dad’!"
"What’s the relationship between June Winter and this child? Why is she with this kid?"
June Winter heard the buzz of conversation and had a smug look on her face.
This was the effect she wanted. She wanted everyone at The Airline to know about this.
So she wasn’t in a hurry to take Luna to see Annelise.
Instead, she first let Luna attract the crowd’s attention.
She watched as more people gathered, and caught in her peripheral vision Chloe Joyce, who had the closest relationship with Annelise. She smiled, bent over, and said to Luna, "Didn’t you say you’re here to find your mom? I’ll take you to find your mom right now!"
"Thank you, Auntie!"
Luna’s innocent voice was raised, endearing herself to everyone present.
"She’s so cute. Is her mom really from our The Airline? Are the rumors true? Is she Captain Warner’s daughter?"
"Who is so lucky to have a child with Captain Warner and still keep it hidden?"
People were gossiping.
June Winter was already heading towards Annelise’s office with Luna.
Chloe Joyce, being sharp-eyed, saw that June Winter’s direction was towards her and Annelise’s office. She imdiately ran in that direction ahead of June Winter.
She closed the office door, looked at Annelise in surprise, and breathlessly asked, "Annelise, what’s going on? That June Winter is coming here with a little girl. She says she’s bringing the kid to find her mom! By the way, that little girl is the sa one Captain Warner took to the hospital last ti!"
Just as Chloe finished speaking, before Annelise could react, June Winter pushed the door open and stood there with Luna.
Annelise was extrely shocked to see Luna.
But she remained calm.
Chloe Joyce, however, closed the office door.
June Winter sneered, "Annelise, is this child yours? Don’t you have anything to say to ? Wow, you’ve hidden this well all these years!"
Annelise was extrely surprised. Could it be that June Winter learned sothing from Chase Perry?
But Chase Perry shouldn’t have voluntarily revealed Luna’s background to June Winter, so she could only wait to see how things unfold.
"Mommy..."
Luna looked at Annelise in grievance.
"June Winter, what exactly are you up to? How could you have the heart to use such a young child!"
Annelise knew that June Winter must have used so ans, otherwise, Luna would not follow her here.
June Winter snorted, "I have no intention of harming the child. Annelise, I want you to explain this clearly to !"
"This isn’t the place to talk. If you want to explain, let’s find a quiet place!" Annelise remained composed.
Right now, her top priority was to stabilize June Winter and protect Luna’s identity.
"Fine, I agree with you, I’ll wait for you on the rooftop!"
June Winter left the office.
Annelise handed Luna over to Chloe Joyce.
"Luna, be good and stay with this Auntie. Mommy will co over soon!"
Annelise squatted down to comfort Luna.
"Mommy, did Luna do sothing wrong?" Although Luna didn’t understand what Annelise and June Winter were talking about.
She knew that her sudden appearance brought trouble for her mom.
"No, Luna didn’t do anything wrong. Be good, Mommy will co and be with you soon!"
Chloe Joyce nodded, holding Luna’s hand.
Annelise left the office and went to the rooftop with June Winter.
As soon as June Winter saw Annelise, she couldn’t hold back the question that had been on her mind.
"Annelise, tell clearly, is Luna your and Chase Perry’s child?"
She clenched her hands, her whole body trembling.
She wanted the answer but was also afraid of getting it.
Annelise frowned, realizing the reason June Winter ca to her was that she suspected Luna was Chase Perry’s child.
