Wu Tian thought for a mont, then said to ng Fan, "Senior Brother ng, actually, I have an urgent matter at ho and need to go back. How about this, I'll return in a month!"

He quickly changed his tone, searching for other excuses, but this one was obviously not very convincing.

ng Fan looked at Wu Tian as if he were a fool and said irritably, "Do you think I would believe that?"

If Wu Tian had said from the beginning that he needed to go ho to handle so matters, ng Fan might have believed him. But changing his story now made it completely untrustworthy!

Wu Tian could sense that his excuse was not suitable and looked at ng Fan helplessly. Normally, with his personality, if soone dared to block his way, he would have slapped them to death. But ng Fan was too strong; he couldn't beat him.

So now, he was at a loss because he had no experience in finding reasons and excuses in such situations. He began to rack his brain, thinking about how to persuade ng Fan to let him leave. At the sa ti, he analyzed ng Fan's personality, trying to figure out what excuse or explanation would be more convincing.

After a mont, he said to ng Fan, "Senior Brother ng, I really have to leave Shu Mountain for a while. Once my business is done, I will definitely return to the Sword Pavilion. As for Elder Lin, I will personally explain everything to him when I get back. Senior Brother ng, I swear, I will return to Shu Mountain within a month. And when I co back, I will bring you ten thousand Spirit Stones as a gift!"

After much consideration, Wu Tian thought that ng Fan loved Spirit Stones the most, so he tried to use them to persuade him. However, to ng Fan, this was even less believable than the previous excuse about going ho.

There were two reasons it was unreliable.

First, Wu Tian claid he would definitely return within a month, but ng Fan didn't believe him. Words alone were not credible.

Second, promising ten thousand Spirit Stones upon his return was even more absurd! Wu Tian looked so poor that he couldn't even produce a hundred Spirit Stones now. Ten thousand Spirit Stones? Nonsense!

Even if Wu Tian sohow stumbled upon ten thousand Spirit Stones, would he be willing to give them to ng Fan? Definitely not!

Even if he found a hundred thousand Spirit Stones, ng Fan didn't believe he would give him ten thousand.

"If you insist on leaving, then I'll have to lock you in the Contemplation Room again," ng Fan said unceremoniously.

The Contemplation Room was indeed a good place. Once locked inside, there was no way to open it from within, making it impossible for Wu Tian to escape.

"Senior Brother ng, ten thousand Spirit Stones, isn't that enough to buy you off?" Wu Tian asked in astonishnt.

He truly didn't understand! With ng Fan's money-grubbing nature, how could he be indifferent to ten thousand Spirit Stones?

This fool never considered that ng Fan wasn't indifferent to ten thousand Spirit Stones but was indifferent to him.

Why would he believe that this pauper could produce ten thousand Spirit Stones?

ng Fan said expressionlessly, "Ten thousand Spirit Stones would certainly be enough to buy off, but I don't believe you can co up with ten thousand Spirit Stones!"

Wu Tian finally realized that he had almost forgotten he had no credibility with ng Fan. Thinking it over, if he were in ng Fan's shoes, he wouldn't believe it either.

This was a tough situation! After serious consideration, he realized he really had no way to convince ng Fan of this.

After all, during his ti in the Sword Pavilion, his image as a pauper was deeply ingrained.

But this ti, he truly had to leave the mountain; he had no choice! And with ng Fan blocking his way, he couldn't leave. So he had to persuade ng Fan!

After a mont, just as ng Fan was losing patience and preparing to throw Wu Tian into the Contemplation Room to end it all, Wu Tian suddenly spoke again.

His face was full of conflict and helplessness. Gritting his teeth, his gaze gradually beca firm.

"Since that's the case, Senior Brother ng, I'll tell you the truth!"

ng Fan frowned and looked at Wu Tian. He knew this kid was a bit simple-minded. Based on his understanding of Wu Tian, he knew that if Wu Tian said he was going to tell the truth in such a situation, he probably really ant it.

It sounded a bit convoluted, but that was the gist of it!

"Go ahead," ng Fan said indifferently, looking at Wu Tian.

"Actually, I wasn't entirely lying to you. I did receive a letter from ho, which is why I have to leave the mountain!

So when I said there was sothing at ho, it wasn't entirely false."

Hearing Wu Tian's words, ng Fan wasn't surprised.

Because this guy's brain was pretty straightforward. Even if he lied, he would stick close to the truth, not thinking too far ahead, lacking the intelligence for that.

"A letter from your father? Asking you to go ho?" ng Fan asked casually.

Although he asked, he knew that wasn't the case.

If it were, Wu Tian would have told him directly instead of hiding it.

After all, Wu Tian's father was of the sa generation as Elder Lin, both being ng Fan's elders.

If Wu Tian's father wrote a letter asking him to return, ng Fan would have no reason to stop him.

"No, it wasn't from my father. It was from a cousin!" Wu Tian said.

"A cousin wrote to you, and you need to rush back?" ng Fan asked.

He was genuinely curious about why Wu Tian wanted to leave Shu Mountain! Although he threatened to lock Wu Tian in the Contemplation Room, if Wu Tian had a legitimate reason to leave, he wouldn't refuse.

All his previous words were just to scare Wu Tian. From ng Fan's perspective, he didn't want Wu Tian to go down the mountain and cause trouble.

Given Wu Tian's nature, once he left Shu Mountain, he would undoubtedly wreak havoc, which was beyond question.

Wu Tian's father had sent him to the Shu Mountain Sword Pavilion to cultivate his character. It was quite ironic to have a Buddhist disciple leave the Buddhist sect to co to a Sword Dao sect like Shu Mountain to cultivate his character.

It sounded like putting the cart before the horse, but it was true, albeit a bit absurd.

"My cousin told that our Wu family's ancestral land is about to open, but my father has been imprisoned, and my spot was taken by soone else, so no one inford to return and enter the ancestral land!" Wu Tian said, his face full of anger, his eyes wide with rage.

"Senior Brother ng, can you tolerate that? Can I not go back? If this happened to you, would you let it go?"

ng Fan looked at Wu Tian's expression and knew he wasn't lying this ti. Wu Tian didn't have the acting skills to fake such genuine anger.

"Why should I not let it go? As a disciple of Shu Mountain, why would I care about these worldly matters?

So what if your Wu family's ancestral land opens? It's just a worldly family; why are you so concerned?"
