ng Fan weighed the silver in his hand, buying whatever caught his interest without hesitation.

He looked every bit the image of a wealthy, carefree noble from ancient tis.

This wasn't an act; it was his true nature.

Two people were following him, but he was well aware of their presence.

As a cultivator in the Heavenly Origin Realm with developed Divine Sense, ng Fan could easily detect them. The two followers were re mortals.

If ng Fan couldn't notice them, he wouldn't deserve to be alive!

However, despite knowing he was being followed, ng Fan didn't care.

What harm could ordinary people possibly do by following him?

They probably saw him spending money lavishly and got greedy.

This was a trivial matter, not worth ng Fan's attention.

So he continued to stroll around, weighing his silver, ignoring the two shadows behind him.

If those two shadows decided to make a move, he'd just swat them away. If they gave up halfway, they'd be lucky to escape with their lives.

After all, ng Fan wouldn't go out of his way to hunt down two mortals.

It was like being followed by two ants; you wouldn't care. Even if you noticed them, you wouldn't bother to turn around and crush them unless they crawled onto you.

"Young master, co and have so fun..."

At this mont, ng Fan passed by a small building with a signboard that read "Pleasure House."

ng Fan chuckled.

It was just like the Yue Lai Inn, a standard chain found in every town and city across all realms.

ng Fan couldn't help but wonder, if this were true, how terrifying must the ultimate owner behind these establishnts be?

He hesitated for a mont but decided not to go in.

It wasn't about pretending to be a gentleman; he simply found the won inside a bit "dirty."

Why should he let the body he had traveled through ti to inhabit, so handso and extraordinary, be wasted on these old won?

Without hesitation, ng Fan quickened his pace and left.

He completely ignored the gaudily dressed won at the entrance who were beckoning to him.

***

Soon, ng Fan had walked from the north end of Black Bee Town to the south, almost back to the inn.

He turned back helplessly, looking at the two people following him.

"You two, how long do you plan to follow ? If you don't make a move soon, I'm going back to the inn!"

Honestly, even he, the one being followed, was getting impatient.

"You... you noticed us?" The two followers turned pale, looking at ng Fan in shock and fear.

ng Fan couldn't help but laugh.

It was genuinely funny, he couldn't help it.

These two had been following him, clearly intending to rob him, but now that he had noticed them, they were the ones who were scared.

It was as if he were the one planning to rob them!

"With your level of stealth, you'd only be able to follow an idiot without being noticed," ng Fan mocked openly.

"Alright, since we've laid it all out, let's get this over with. The sooner we finish, the sooner I can go back and rest."

This wasn't ng Fan being pretentious; dealing with two ordinary people didn't require wasting breath on banter.

If they didn't make the first move, he'd feel bad about killing them.

The stronger your cultivation, the more pathetic it seed to kill ordinary people.

It's not about killing more to beco stronger!

Moreover, what if ng Fan made a mistake and killed the wrong people?

Even though they were following him, following wasn't a cri worthy of death.

ng Fan had his own moral compass when it ca to killing!

If these two were following him for reasons other than harming him, killing them would be unjust.

While ng Fan could kill without blinking at tis, he couldn't bring himself to kill the innocent.

He only killed two kinds of people.

One, those who offended him.

Two, those who deserved to die.

In a way, they were the sa kind of people.

Because anyone who offended ng Fan deserved to die!

Of course, the degree of offense was sothing ng Fan would asure himself.

Just following him wasn't enough to warrant death in ng Fan's eyes!

What happened next proved that ng Fan's "rules" were correct.

"Sorry, young master, we didn't follow you with any bad intentions. We're not bad people!" One of the followers stamred.

The other was even worse, too anxious and nervous to speak.

From their behavior, ng Fan could tell they weren't here to rob him.

They clearly didn't have the capability to rob anyone!

His earlier caution was justified. If he had killed them outright, it would indeed have been "killing the innocent."

ng Fan looked at them coldly and asked, "Then why were you following ?"

"We wanted to talk to you and make a deal," one of them said hurriedly.

"A deal?"

ng Fan frowned.

"What kind of deal?"

"We accidentally ca across a treasure. It's very valuable, but no one in Black Bee Town recognizes its worth or can afford it.

We saw you spending money generously and figured you must be wealthy.

So we thought of approaching you to make a deal and sell the treasure to you."

ng Fan rolled his eyes.

Was it necessary to be so secretive just to sell sothing?

Judging by their attitude, ng Fan guessed the so-called treasure was likely stolen.

He wasn't a constable, so he didn't care about stolen goods.

But he still asked, "Is it stolen? I'm not interested in your stuff, leave quickly, or face the consequences!"

How could he be interested in a treasure from two mortals?

Whether it was stolen or not, he wouldn't care.

"Young master, you've misunderstood. It's not stolen, it's..."

ng Fan shot a cold glance at the speaker and said, "What it is doesn't matter. Just get lost!"

He was losing patience. If these two didn't leave soon, he wouldn't be so kind.

Though he didn't plan to kill them, injuring them with a breath was easy for soone of his strength.

"Young master, please don't be hasty. At least take a look at the item," the other man, who had been silent, finally spoke up.

As he spoke, he took out a square box from the pouch at his waist.
