While having breakfast, Hanamaru Yuuki asked Uesugi Sakura.

The air conditioner was on in the living room, so Hanamaru Yuuki simply wore a short-sleeve shirt at the Hanamaru ho.

A pair of white arms were exposed, holding a cup of milk while eating breakfast.

"Do you want to go to school?"

"Yeah," Hanamaru Yuuki nodded, swallowing down the fried egg made by Mrs. Hanamaru, "Brother-in-law, I’m bored, staying ho alone, besides watching TV, there’s only that."

"Which?" Uesugi Sakura picked up the milk and asked casually.

"Self-pleasure."

"Pfft—!"

Uesugi Sakura almost spat out the milk he was drinking, but luckily he covered his mouth in ti, avoiding any embarrassnt.

He looked up again, staring at Yuuki’s absolutely beautiful girl face.

"Hehe, did Brother-in-law take it seriously again?"

"You’re joking again?"

"Half and half."

"What does half and half an?"

"It ans sotis I really do it a little."

"I say, Yuuki, you’re a girl."

"What’s wrong with girls? Can’t girls have desires?" Hanamaru Yuuki propped her face and smiled from across the table.

That sentence choked Uesugi Sakura.

Then on second thought, it seed she had a point.

"Brother-in-law, are there any handso boys at Tokyo Art University?"

"Handso boys, there are so, but not many, and I don’t interact much with them. Why? Why the sudden question?"

"It’s just that, didn’t I ntion before... I want to find a boyfriend and try dating. I just returned to Tokyo from England, have no connections, don’t know anyone else, and for this dating thing, besides asking for Brother-in-law’s help, what else can I do?"

Indeed...

Yuuki’s desire to date was sothing he could understand.

This love thing can be really hard, because it’s difficult to find a suitable person.

On the other hand, it’s quite easy if you find soone pleasing to the eye, you might end up spending so ti together.

As for him and Hanabi... how to say?

In the beginning, he just thought the little girl was quite pitiful and wanted to help her.

As a result, she naturally clung to him from then on.

He didn’t find her annoying, so he naturally took care of her like a neighbor girl.

Until now, when they were married.

"Why are you so good to my sister?"

"Because your sister is so good to ... my being good to her beca taken for granted."

Hanamaru Yuuki stirred the milk in front of her with a spoon, propping her face with her right hand, staring at the cup, and sighing: "So I’m really envious of my sister, why can she and you be neighbors from childhood, living next door, with facing windows where they can see each other as soon as they wake up."

The more she spoke, the more her tone lowered, finally stretching out her hand and lying on the table.

"Ah~ Yuuki also wants a childhood neighbor brother~~"

Uesugi Sakura tapped her head with a chopstick: "Co on, you’re not that young anymore, stop wishing for a childhood neighbor."

"Yeah, right, no, but if I—wait a minute!" Hanamaru Yuuki suddenly jolted up, as if rembering sothing, "I think I rembered soone."

Uesugi Sakura asked casually: "Your childhood friend?"

"Yeah, a childhood friend."

Uesugi Sakura was stunned for a few seconds, then looked up at her: "You really had one?"

"Really!" Hanamaru Yuuki nodded firmly, "He even gave flowers when we were kids."

"..."

"And then?"

"Then we went to different schools in junior high, and we parted."

"That’s so long ago? It’s impossible now."

"It might still be possible? I rember I had a good impression of him back then, he was the type who would always follow behind , calling ’Yuuki-chan, Yuuki-chan.’"

Hanamaru Yuuki recalled her past.

"I rember he even confessed to , saying he liked , but back then I didn’t like boys, wasn’t interested in him."

Uesugi Sakura knew she was reminiscing about her childhood, but such matters couldn’t be brought up now:

"Yuuki, how long has it been? Chances are, he’s long forgotten about you."

"Nope, I saw him post on Twitter just a year ago."

"Yuuki, do you want to go find him?"

"It wouldn’t hurt to take a look. If he’s doing well and still feels like those childhood days, maybe a romance isn’t out of the question."

Hanamaru Yuuki noticed the expression on Uesugi Sakura’s face.

"What, brother-in-law, you don’t quite agree?"

"Hmm," Uesugi Sakura nodded, "It’s been almost ten years. Besides the childhood impressions, you don’t really have anything else, right?"

In his view, Yuuki was being a bit indiscriminate.

She actually brought up an old elentary school classmate.

Childhood friends forced apart, huh.

This kind of feeling is similar to the emotions in "5 Centiters per Second."

Even more intense, perhaps.

In "5 Centiters per Second," the male lead at least thinks about the female lead, while in reality, most of the ti, it’s as if neither exists, and they can’t even rember each other’s nas.

With their own lives, who rembers those distant things?

"Just to take a look, nothing wrong with that."

Hanamaru Yuuki said, taking out her phone. She searched through her Line contacts and found that elentary school classmate.

Then she went through his Twitter account from his posts.

"There he is, brother-in-law, take a look."

Uesugi Sakura took the phone from Hanamaru Yuuki.

"He looks pretty decent."

"Pfft!"

"Why did you suddenly laugh?"

"I’m laughing at you, brother-in-law. Your tone is just like my mom’s, the first thing you notice about a person is if they look decent."

Uesugi Sakura said, "I don’t see a problem with that. After all, appearance determines the first impression, which is the starting point for understanding soone."

Hanamaru Yuuki pinched her cheeks, making a cute face, "So, what was your first impression of , brother-in-law?"

Uesugi Sakura glanced at her, "A girl with personality; it turned out to be true."

"So does brother-in-law think Yuuki is pretty? How’s the figure?"

"Pretty, definitely. You and Hanabi are quite similar aside from your eyes, and your figures are about the sa."

"I’m actually a bit taller than my sister, you know!"

"Just by a centiter."

"A centiter is still taller!"

All in all, Yuuki was very confident.

She knew she was a pretty girl and understood how to use this advantage to help herself gain opportunities and favors.

Precisely because of this, Uesugi Sakura thought she’d be at a disadvantage going to find that elentary school classmate.

"Yuuki, don’t you think visiting your classmate is giving him an easy out?"

"Brother-in-law ans Yuuki is too excellent?"

"Of course, you look at yourself, studying abroad at the Royal College of Art, while he’s still working part-ti at a convenience store. Not that it’s a problem, but he seems a bit off."

"Brother-in-law, matching social status isn’t necessary, you know! There are people who marry into the family!"

"But then the partner has to be excellent enough!"

"As long as there’s love, the partner doesn’t need to be all that excellent."

Uesugi Sakura shook his head... When it’s not a match in social status, there’s so much about value and ideals that aren’t understood; no interaction ans no acquaintance, which ans no romance.

After breakfast, Uesugi Sakura, Hanamaru Hanabi, and Hanamaru Yuuki all got on the morning train.

They were heading to Tokyo Art University for exams, which included both knowledge assessnts and drawing skills.

Things like sketching, colors, and quick drawing were mandatory.

Uesugi Sakura felt his head swell whenever he picked up a pencil.

All that intensive training before didn’t yield much result.

After finishing the sketching exam, Uesugi Sakura exited the classroom and saw Hanamaru Hanabi and Hanamaru Yuuki waiting for him.

"How did it go, brother-in-law?"

"Just average," Uesugi Sakura sighed.

"No way, isn’t first-year sketching the easiest subject? Though, I assu at Tokyo Art University it’s slightly tougher."

"That’s you guys, not . Don’t mix the standards of genius with ordinary people!"
