The phone rang.

"Hello." Uesugi Sakura fished out the phone from her clothes pocket to answer.

Hanamaru Yugetsu: "Little Sakura! Why is your Kendo departnt closed today? Even Shio isn’t answering my calls!"

"Uncle Yuzuki doesn’t know?"

"Know what? Don’t tell your Kendo departnt disbanded." Hanamaru Yugetsu looked at the dojo’s tightly shut doors.

Uesugi Sakura glanced at Hanamaru Hanabi walking beside her, who was asking who was on the call, and she silently shook her head.

It’s Tanabata. There are always pitiful uncles like this.

"Today is Tanabata."

"... Tanabata?"

Wearing sunglasses, one hand on her hip, and tapping her casual shoes on the ground, Hanamaru Yugetsu paused for a mont, then said:

"Even if it’s Tanabata, does it concern everyone in your Kendo departnt? There’s always so single guy practicing to blow off steam. You’re being irresponsible to them."

He looked up at the wood sign above saying "Kanzaki Togoshi Private Academy Swordsmanship Departnt."

The writing is as beautiful as his old-fashioned father’s handwriting.

Hanamaru Yugetsu doesn’t have a girlfriend.

Uesugi Sakura, holding the phone, felt that her uncle’s earlier words were directed at her.

The call continued to ring from the other end.

He ignored his uncle’s constant chatter about returning to practice Kendo.

On Tanabata, Uesugi Sakura was worried about her handso uncle, who remained single in the red-light district.

"Uncle Yuzuki is 24, right? Haven’t you thought about finding a serious girlfriend?"

For so reason, Hanamaru Yugetsu paused, then his face returned to a casual expression, letting out a chuckle: "What does a 16-year-old brat know? It’s none of your concern."

"Phew~"

After finishing a sweet and spicy banana crepe, Hanamaru Hanabi kept exhaling hot air, her small face turning a lovely shade of blush.

She looked up at Uesugi Sakura, who was on the phone, and gently tugged at his coat sleeve.

Uesugi Sakura turned around, noticed her bright eyes, and understood her aning of "wanting more."

Turning back.

As he returned to the convenience store, he continued on the phone: "I feel it’s bad for Uncle Yuzuki’s health to drink every day in that place. Didn’t you get stopped at the school gate because of the sll of alcohol a few days ago?"

Hanamaru Yugetsu: "I’m in great health!"

Uesugi Sakura: "Kabuki-cho is a ss."

Hanamaru Yugetsu: "Your father-in-law is managing it. Nothing will happen to ."

Uesugi Sakura: "Is it really okay?"

He rembered his uncle always said Kendo was boring, and he lazily arrived at the Kendo departnt a few days ago. Why is he now eager to pull him for practice?

Hanamaru Yugetsu: "Stop worrying so much. Spend more ti with your little niece on Tanabata; she used to like you a lot but was too timid to say so."

Uesugi Sakura: "Can I hang up then?"

Hanamaru Yugetsu: "Go ahead, hang up."

Uesugi Sakura: "Really, are you sure?"

Hanamaru Yugetsu: "Why are there so many questions about my well-being today?"

He directly hung up the phone.

Leaving the convenience store, Uesugi Sakura shoved the phone back into his pants pocket and glanced at Hanamaru Hanabi with her flushed face, using his index finger to hook her other timid small hand.

"If you keep eating, you’ll beco the president’s size."

Hanamaru Hanabi stopped in her tracks, her small shark charm on her crossbody bag swaying gently, and suddenly the sweet and spicy banana crepe didn’t taste so good anymore.

She wore a little dress, decorated with a bow on her not-so-smart little head.

Her weak voice was still soft and pleasant: "Then, then I won’t eat it..."

"Is little Hanabi afraid of getting fat?"

"Uh-huh..."

Uesugi Sakura gave her a smile: "Actually, being a little bit chubby is cute. After all, little Hanabi is so pretty now."

"If I get fat, I won’t look nice..."

Hanamaru Hanabi tilted her head, looking at him with tender eyes, feeling sweet inside, and said softly: "But still, thank you, Sakura-kun..."

Girls like little Hanabi beco very happy with a little complint.

On Tanabata, there were many couples on the street, but none attracted attention as much as these two.

When they walked past Hanabi with their girlfriends, they were amazed by her cute and petite appearance, and even stole a glance at her when they left.

But of course, they only dared to take that single glance.

Uesugi Sakura glanced at his watch. There was still plenty of ti before their scheduled wedding visit.

Despite worrying about getting fat, she finished a second crepe.

Hanamaru Hanabi’s small hand was too soft, too comforting.

Uesugi Sakura couldn’t resist squeezing her fingers, then slipped his fingers through her shy ones, locking them into what is known as a lover’s handhold.

The mont the plush feeling of her small hand tightly pressed against his palm, his heart filled with the warmth of her presence.

"Sakura-kun..."

Hanamaru Hanabi bowed her head, though he only held her hand, it felt as if her thumping heart had been tightly clasped by him, leaving her breathless.

The comfort and warmth that existed since childhood never changed.

On this Tanabata, Hanabi wished he would always hold her hand like this.

With her violet eyes fixated straight on him.

Uesugi Sakura understood her: "What else do you want to eat?"

"Ice cream..."

"Then let’s go."

For the third ti, he entered the sa convenience store, and with the clerk’s third welcoming send-off, he bought a milk-flavored chocolate ice cream for little Hanabi.

"Sakura-kun... aren’t you having any?"

"Watching you eat is enough for ."

Walking on the bustling street, their hands remained tightly clasped.

Hanamaru Hanabi ate slowly, savoring every bite.

Ahead, there was a shop full of gachapon and claw machines.

For a man with Accuracy, Uesugi Sakura had no interest in these trivial gas.

He led Hanamaru Hanabi into a closed booth for photo stickers.
