"Mmm...by the way your shaless ex sent in application to the school for his son and Aunt Manchu sent it to . Most parents are required to write an essay explaining why they think their children are good candidates for the school and in his essay, Mo Liang wrote about how special his son is."
i i snorted.
"He was born in space and he is the youngest nominal astronaut." Rose broke off for a mont and she laughed mockingly.
"Foolish." i i clicked her tongue twice.
"So foolish." Rose chuckled even more. "I don’t know why he thinks that it is an accomplishnt. Anyway, he included in his essay that he thinks Mo Hao will be a better fit for the school than Mingzhu and highlighted the fact that Mingzhu is a violent child. He encouraged aunt Manchu to expel Mingzhu and give her place to Mo Hao."
i i’s smile died a natural death quickly. The water in the swimming pool was cold but the air around i i was frosty. Even Rose was certain that she would not want to be in i i’s crosshairs when she was such a mood.
"I am not in the mood to swim anymore." i i declared. She rise out of the pool, drops of silver water fell from her body.
Jingzhe rushed to her side with a towel and he placed it around her shoulders. Rose got out of the pool as well, there was no one waiting to offer her a towel.
A few minutes later, i i and Rose exited the building. Rose was heading back to work and i i was planning to take Jingzhe, Mingzhu and Lian shopping.
Jingzhe was excited, even more than the children. His joy could not be hidden, he was impatiently waiting for i i and Rose to part ways. His patience was so thin that he was pacing next to the flying car like a kid waiting for the ice cream truck.
"If looks could kill, I would be in the underworld right now. The way he is staring at , one would think I was stealing you away from him." Rose laughed lightly, pointing out Jingzhe’s impatience to i i.
i i glanced back at Junjie. A smile of indulgence skirted on her lips. "Isn’t he adorable?" she quizzed.
Rose turned her head in the direction i i was looking. While she would not go for adorable, she would definitely use the word cute to describe Jingzhe. Right now at least, that was how he appeared. She looked back at i i and turned her head around so that they could talk while eting each other eye to eye. "You know that he has a crush on you, right?"
i i nodded. She was not blind, she had noticed it a long ti ago but never gave a second thought to it. She always figured that he would eventually outgrow it and while she appreciated all the support he had given her through so of the most difficult tis of her life, she had never intended to indulge him, not until the system ca along.
Now, everything had been thrown out of balance. She was hugging him, pecking him, patting his hair and holding his hand.
Rose’s face beca serious as she said the next words. "I have heard about all that he has been doing to help you and Mingzhu over the years. I see the way he looks at you and how your eyes are beginning to soften around him. i i, he hugged you when you stepped out of the swimming pool and you did not push him away.
Obviously, this.....whatever is going on between you two is more than friendship. But, before you dive into anything I feel like I need to remind you that he is a Mo. If you choose to be with him, Mo Liang and all those other nasty relatives will still be a part of your life even if you don’t want them to be. Is it worth it?"
Rose left i i with such a loaded question that she could not answer imdiately. She buried it in her mind and joined Jingzhe and the children.
"Are you ready, shopaholics?" she asked.
Jingzhe lit up like star. "You have no idea how ready I am."
He had accompanied her to buy Mo Liang clothes when he was set to return to earth. It had killed him each ti she smiled and asked him if Mo Liang would like this shirt or that one. These shoes or those ones, the red jacket or the brown leather shoes. He felt even worse when he tried on those shoes and so clothes while she made her choices. That was all in the past and he was the one she was buying clothes for now.
The drive felt like an eternity to Mo Jingzhe, but when they pulled up to the mall, he nearly jumped out of the flying car before it stopped moving.
He had to control himself because the children started to whisper.
"General, what is wrong with your daddy? Hasn’t he been to a mall before?" Liang whispered a question.
Her whisper failed superbly because Liang did not know what it ant to whisper. She thought that by covering her mouth and lowering her head as close to Mingzhu’s ear as possible, she would not be heard.
Mingzhu replied, "That is not true, daddy went to the mall with and mommy.....mmmm...."
The date when they shopping was lost on her so Mingzhu resorted to counting using her fingers.
"Three weeks ago." Jingzhe told her.
Mingzhu nodded, smiled at him and she relayed it to Liang without forgetting to brag about the things that Jingzhe had bought. "Daddy bought new sneakers, a kite that we will fly together and a smart makeup mirror."
i i head turned at once in a robotic way. "You bought her a smart makeup mirror!"
Mingzhu’s head snapped up quickly, her small mouth ford an ’O’ shape, her eyes widened and she gasped. "Oh-Oh."
