Nobody knew how to react. Was it a mont to laugh or express sympathies for the news that was now rapidly spreading on the internet? To so, this was considered to be a great humiliation. If they were in i i’s shoes, they would find a place to hide for the rest of the day--week--month or even year.

They would not show their faces in public until the humiliation died down completely. There were those that thought it would be best if she left the country altogether for a few years.

She stepped back from the podium slightly and gave a slight bow to the crowd that remained. Then, she returned and spoke into the microphone.

"I would like to offer my apologies to all of you for the events that have just occurred. I know that it is affecting your perspectives right now and so of you are wondering how I still have the guts to stand before you and continue on with the opening of Pearl space camp.

Well, the reason for that is simple. This camp exists because of the tireless efforts of my team, my supporters and my dreams. To ruin it on all a fleeting mont of an emotional outburst over a man that is not worth it would be a sha to those that are trusting to stand before you today."

Her words astounded the crowd, particularly when she said that an emotional outburst over her husband was not worth it. The simple words brewed so inspiration in so people and they started to applaud her.

"I do not want my personal life to overshadow this great day so before the opening ceremony I would like to share with you all the fact that I intend to divorce my husband and sue him for a number of reasons."

There were gasps of shock in the crowd but it did not deter her from continuing on. "I will allow the reporters ten minutes to ask any questions that they desire."

Every microphone pointed her way like a way, both the big and small ones like spears poised for a kill. i i braced herself; she knew that they would devour her like hungry hippos.

"Mrs. Mo..." barked one reporter from the front row, "Have you confird it personally that your husband has been having an affair?"

The crowd quieted, waiting for her to confirm it. As much as many felt sorry for her, they hoped the news was true because it would be so entertaining.

"First of all, its Miss not Mrs and its Miss Jun ilin. Secondly, yes." she replied with a calm tone that as she had been taught since childhood. "Space was more adventurous for him than we all thought. I guess he took the words explore a tad bit too literally."

The reporters snickered, catching on to her joke. Another journalist asked the following question. "And what about the child Miss ilin? Is it true that he has a a child and is this child the national space baby?"

"I have not seen a DNA to refute this claim but I have heard it directly from my husband and his...err...alien wife that the child is a product of their union. He was busier in space than I thought. Even though Space M is struggling, Mr. Mo Liang is managing more projects than most executives."

Laughter rippled through the crowd, and encouraged by her wit and grace, the questions kept coming. "Miss ilin, when did you find out about the affair?"

She rolled her eyes. "I am sure that you all saw that footage from the airport. The happy family of three returned hand in hand and my flowers fell victim to their happiness."

"Miss ilin," A female reporter stepped forward. "Aren’t you worried that this will impact your image as an erging businesswoman? You should know that there will be people that think that you cannot manage your ho so managing a business will be difficult as well."

She gave the reporter a pointed look, a mischievous smile played on her lips. "Honey my success is not and will never be tied to a man that cannot keep his word. In fact, if he was involved in my business then I would be worried that he would deceive my clients because he has proven to be dishonest.

As for those that are worried about my business ability, I say, look at ! I am using this opportunity to drum up free publicity for my business. I am actually thankful to my soon to be ex husband for today’s drama!"

The crowd erupted in more laughter, loving i i’s responses. When she said she was back, they all thought that she was joking. She was the queen of humorous PR. She could take any situation and spin it into cody.

Another journalist raised his microphone and loudly asked, "Miss ilin, the national space baby that is also your husband’s bastard is ideally the most suitable child to endorse your camp because he was born on the international space station and was raised there. Will you be putting aside any bias you have against him and hiring him?"

i i snickered. "Mr. reporter, if you found out one day that your wife has been cheating on you for many years and the child you have been raising is the son of another man. What would you do if that man offered you a job, as a nanny for that child, would you take it?"

"Of course not." The reporter rushed to say. He actually looked disgusted by the thought of it alone.

i i quieted the crowd because the ten minutes were about to co to an end. "I will take one last question.

The sa journalist that had asked about the impact of the affair on her business ability beat the others to the opportunity. "Miss ilin, have you addressed this matter with Mr. Mo Liang personally? If you have not, do you plan to?"

ilin smiled-a smile so sweet that it could curdle milk. "Oh, I already have. In fact we have both been in touch with our lawyers to start on the divorce process. The reasons for our divorce are clear as day and there is no such thing as irreconcilable differences which he might claim. We are divorcing because he is a bad man that had too many adventures in space. He was thinking with all the wrong organs."

She borrowed the words of the peepstar which drove the reporters and crowd into laughter. i i looked at her watch, leaned towards the microphone and said, "Well this has been fun but we must end the impromptu Q&A. I have a business to open and a celebration tonight to rejoice in my newfound freedom, if any of you eager reporters makes it to Jiang’s Oasis tonight, drinks are on my sister Rose!"

She gave the reporters sothing even more to celebrate and the crowd cheered as well.

Watching the press conference from a distance, Chi Lian and Jun Muyang shared a high five and a thrilled ’yes!’ i i had taken the scandal and turned into a powerful statent: Jun ilin was not just opening a space camp-she was opening a brand new Chapter in her life.
