Jun ilin was preparing herself for an afternoon nap when she received the call from the police. She was inford that her husband was being held at the police station and he needed a family mber to bring his insurance docunts and other legal papers.
In addition to that, he was suspected of driving under the influence so she needed to go over and testify that he had not taken anything alcoholic before leaving the house.
i i’s first reaction was to remove the phone from her ear and laugh. Then she cleared her throat and tried to sound serious.
"Officer, I know the person you are talking about but we are not related at all. That man is a drunk, he usually starts at six in the morning and stops at ten in the evening. It will be best for everyone if you keep him in jail."
i i wanted to see if the news of Mo Liang’s arrest was anywhere in the news and it was. Not only was it in the news but the first person to uncover it was the peep star which was no surprise.

Mo Liang being checked for alcohol content in his blood and finally being put in a police car and driven to the station
i i was snickering uncontrollably and it was not just because Mo Liang had run into so bad luck. It was also because the comnts were funny.

She was still reading the comnts and laughing when the police called again. i i put the phone down, yawned and prepared to lay down on the sofa but again, she was interrupted. The butler walked into the living room and told her that she had a guest.
As she was not expecting any guests, i i was puzzled. "Who is it?"
"A Mr. and Mrs. Xu. Their son is the space pilot that died in space." He shared.
i i had seen the Xu’s at the funeral but she had not approached them. She did not think that she had anything to say to them and she did not want to pull them into the toxicity of her drama with Mo Liang. Her lawyers had recomnded that she get in touch with them and convince them to be character witnesses in her divorce but she refused to it.
She figured that they had been through enough misery. They were probably in much more pain than she was if they had worked out Mo Hao’s age. Since they were already at the gate, she decided to et with them.
"Let them in." she said.
As the butler went back to invite them in, she sent for so tea. The Xu’s arrived at the sa ti as the tea and it was served to them imdiately.
While they were getting settled in, i i took ti to observe them. It could have been an overly active imagination but she could have sworn they they looked older than they had appeared to be at the funeral.
"Grief will do that to you." C4 comnted.
Mrs. Xu suddenly opened her mouth and asked, "Did you know?"
Her eyes were focused on i i and it was clear that the question was ant for her. i i decided not to play the fool as Mrs. Xu was being direct.
"Are you asking about my husband and your daughter-in-law’s affair or the child that is the direct result of the affair?"
"All if it." Mrs. Xu said.
Her eyes were flashing with anger which was misdirected in i i’s opinion as she was not one of the parties that engaged in the air.
"If I knew, do you think that I would have gone to the airport with flowers to welco him back with open arms?" She questioned back. "The whole world saw what happened to . I was shoved back and my flowers were trampled on and then my husband, his mistress and their son walked away, leaving to run after them like a fool. I did not even know that they were together at the ti, I found out when we got ho."
Mr Xu punched his fists together angrily, "Animals, they are animals. They did not even wait for three months to pass before jumping into bed together. Our son’s corpse was kept frozen up there in the very spaceship that Mo Liang flies, The Oceanus Seeker. My son’s body was only a few feet away from them and they..." he broke off and folded his arms across his chest.
Mrs. Xu started crying and i i sighed.
"How could they do it?" Mrs. Xu lanted. "One is his wife and the other his best friend. I would not be hurt if they had waited at least one year or two but they wasted no mont. I can’t help wondering if they had been involved even before my son died."
