Jingzhe had a problem in his office. The problem was his cousin Pang Lucy. Sohow, a cat had stumbled onto a blind mouse. Apparently when his mother spanked sense back into her, she did a very good job because Lucy sent out resus, looking for a job.
It was unlike her but she applied to Blue Galactic as well, willing to take on the position of a cleaner!!
He arrived for work after having lunch with his mother, in-laws and Mingzhu only to stumble into Lucy wiping the door to his office!
Unfortunately for him, a handful of executives were following him and Manager Gao loudly called him "CEO"
Now, Lucy knew his identity.
Assistant Xu had already dismissed everyone and shoved her into the office. He had even prepared tea for her. A cup of ginger tea that was laced with enough poison to knock Lucy out.
His plan was to send for a professional hypnotist that would wipe her mories. Or, they could put her on a space ship and send her off to space. She would never return to earth and nobody would ever find her.
The problem was erasing all traces that would point to Blue Galactic as her known location. He was still working through that plan.
His plan already had problems. Lucy had not yet touched the tea for one! This left him with no choice but to secretly glare at her and try to use his mind to order her to take a sip.
That was useless of course because he did have powers of mind control.
anwhile, Lucy was relaxed in a chair, sitting across from Jingzhe. She was enjoying the feel of the leather chair. The view of the city skyline which was visible through the wide glass window behind Jingzhe’s back.
She even smiled at the holographic projections of Blue Galactic’s spaceships and other worlds their pilots had explored or the space mines they had discovered.
Jingzhe’s face was neutral. Lucy could not read it but she did not care. She had stumbled into a windfall. She had joined Blue Galactic because a friend of a friend told her the CEO was young and not married. Her plan was to seduce him and make her way to the top of the elite pyramid.
She thought she could make use of Jingzhe who was said to be an employee in the company but with so ties to the CEO. As long as her target was changed from him to the mystery man, she thought that he would be happy to help her.
Who would have known that she was related to the mysterious CEO?
Lucy was certain that even God was on her side. Why else would things work out like this for her?
"Cousin," she picked leaned forward and picked up the cup of tea.
As she brought it to her lips, assistant Xu’s neck grew long and his eyes turned hopeful. But then, it was placed down without a single sip being taken. In his mind, assistant Xu cursed Lucy.
"Why didn’t you tell us that you own such a large company?" She asked him.
"Because what I own is none of your business." he replied. "You are fired."
Lucy laughed.
Jingzhe did not flinch.
"Cousin, don’t even think about. I am afraid that things are not going to be simple this ti round." She crossed her arms across her chest and swung her right leg over the left one. "You have been keeping your status as the CEO of this company a secret. I think you have sothing to hide. Why else wouldn’t you want people knowing who you are? I don’t really care why you want to hide it. I am willing to help you keep your privacy."
"So you want to blackmail ." Jingzhe arched his brows.
Lucy giggled. "Oh, cousin, you are too funny." She reached for the cup again.
Assistant Xu was hopeful again but once more, his hopes were dashed because she did not lift the cup at all.
Smoothly, Lucy said, "I have been doing a lot of research on Jun ilin. I wanted to know what else made her so special apart from her background. Do you know that there are pages online dedicated to sharing details of her life?
I think it was on one of those pages that I saw sothing about her disliking the mysterious CEO of Blue Galactic because he stole a lot of business from her when she was running Space M."
Assistant Xu flinched.
Jingzhe’s jaw ticked.
Lucy smiled. "Cousin, I think the information I have now is worth sothing. I don’t think she knows who you are. If she did, it would have been ntioned sowhere. Her aunt the princess that does that talk show would be spinning the story as an enemies to lovers kind of thing. I am sure that you are lying to her and that tells that you are not as in love with her as you claim. Why else would you be afraid to share this secret with her? Aren’t you confident in her love for you? Are you worried that she will leave you?"
"That is all none of your business too." he answered.
Lucy nodded. "If you say so. Anyway, I am going to give you so simple options. One, marry and I will keep your secret."
Assistant Xu laughed. He had a feeling that he would be calling a press conference within minutes and his boss would officially co out of the hidden CEO closet.
Pang Lucy had no idea what Feng Jingzhe would choose or give up just to have Jun ilin. If Blue Galactic was the problem between them, he would sell off the company in a heart beat. He had many other ways to make money after all.
"You’re an idiot." Jingzhe told her.
Lucy’s smile faltered but she clenched her hands because she was not giving up. "I had a feeling that you might say this so I have other options lined up. You can give a job in this company. This company pays so of the highest salaries in this empire. The benefits are very good too.
I don’t want to be a cleaner, I want to be the secretary of one of your executives. A man, not older than fifty years of age and he should be divorced or unmarried."
Assistant Xu snorted. "Are you looking for a job or a husband?"
Lucy glared at him. "Shut up, you lowly assistant. This conversation is between and my cousin. Stop sharing your useless opinions and make a fresh cup of tea."
