Ignoring Mo Liang’s unwelco arrival, i i and Jingzhe took all of her property and school docunts then left school grounds. When they flew away, Mo Liang was signing autographs with a stupid grin on his face.
By the ti they arrived ho, it felt as if the day had been very long. Like one week had been stuffed into one day altogether.
"Sir, madam, you are back." The butler welcod them at the door warmly with a smile. It was as if he was welcoming back a couple. The butler looked at Mingzhu who had fallen asleep in Jingzhe’s arms. "Is the little miss alright, we all heard about the fight and we have been very worried."
Indeed the servants were worried, many of them were already waiting in the hallway, anxiety written all over their faces.
"Mmm, madam is tired and she has not eaten since breakfast. Bring her sothing to eat." Jingzhe told the servants.
While those responsible for the als hurried away, Feng Qi was ready to retrieve Mingzhu from i i’s arms. She had also invited a doctor to take a look at her grand baby.
"How bad is it?" she asked with a tremor in her voice.
"It is worse for the boy." i i answered.
"Bad." Jingzhe replied. "Mingzhu has scratch marks on her face, a few strands of her hair were pulled out and she has a wound on her hand. Hurry, co and take a look." He sat down slowly, not wanting to jostle Mingzhu awake. "Be gentle, don’t wake her up."
The doctor had to take a deep breath first before examining his young parent. He was one of three in house doctors of Blue Galactic company, he knew his boss Mo Jingzhe was a stern young man who was a tis cold and liked his personal space, especially around the opposite sex.
And yet, here was the sa boss caring for Jun ilin and her daughter. Wasn’t she married to his brother?
A small sound of pain ca from Mingzhu’s mouth and Jingzhe glared at the doctor. Doctor Lei gave an apologetic look to i and Jingzhe quickly. Then, he stopped contemplating on the private affairs of his boss and concentrated on treating his patient. After doing his job, he withdrew.
Mingzhu was taken to her bedroom and laid down to sleep and then the adults moved to the living room to talk. Lunch was already waiting for i i, it was egg fried lunch and so hot and sour soup.
"Thank you for the food." she said to Feng Qi.
Feng Qi nodded once, waiting for i i to eat five mouthfuls of food and then the questioning started. "Dear, the school has already made a statent that both children involved in the fight peacefully settled their differences but withdrew from the school. Has our Mingzhu really been pushed out?"
"It was either that or expulsion." Jingzhe answered for i i.
"Don’t worry about where to enroll her, I have already secured invitations for her from the best International schools in the city. Jingzhe forwarded her information while you were still at her old school. Pick a school and her enrollnt will be done imdiately."
The chopsticks in i i’s hands fell to the table. "They want her!" she exclaid.
Feng Qi nodded, of course they wanted her. One, she was the granddaughter of the Jun and Chi families. Two, Feng Qi had identified herself as one of the major shareholders of Blue Galactic and three, even though she had ntioned it, they had figured out the identity of her biological father quickly. The last reason was that her family could afford the expensive yearly tuition fees.
Feng Qi presented the schools on a hologram and used a smart pointing stick that was the height of three pens to scroll through the hologram.
"We have Elite primary school International division: tuition is one hundred seventy thousand yuan per year. If you include other expenses it can go up to two hundred thousand.
Next is Chi Chi world foreign language academy: Tuition is based on the program of study but it is around two hundred eighty nine thousand per year."
"And also owned by my mother’s family." i i muttered sarcastically.
"Mingzhu’s education is not related to the troubles between you and your mother. If you want to give her the best you must put your pride, guilt and whatever other emotions you are feeling aside and put your daughter first. That is how parenting works dear." Feng Qi told her.
i i sighed.
"They want her i i, the school wants her. Before I ntion other schools I want you to consider it seriously." Feng Qi added.
i i nodded. For Mingzhu’s sake, she would consider it.
Feng Qi continued, "AB International school: Tuition, one hundred forty eight thousand yuan per year.
The International royal girls boarding school: Tuition two hundred ten thousand per year."
Five more schools were ntioned and then Feng Qi looked at i i, eyebrows up to emphasize her curious stare. "Which one do you want to pick?"
"They are all expensive." i i said. She closed her eyes and shook her head. When she was in school, her family paid around this sa amount for her. In fact, she had attended The International royal girls boarding school when she was a junior.
All those years, she never once thought about the expense her parents incurred to send her to the best schools. Mingzhu’s current school cost around sixty thousand yuan per year. Even that sixty thousand had stressed her incredibly because all her salary from the company kept going back into the company as an investnt. As for Mo Liang, he never gave her a di, and when he was in space, his mother claid his salary and withheld it from her.
Suddenly, Jingzhe’s hand slipped into hers and said. "The Chi Chi school is great. Two of my friends have siblings there that are Mingzhu’s age. If we introduce the children to each other, she will make friends imdiately. Mingzhu will also be protected because she will be on family grounds. No matter what, she will never be expelled."
In addition to Jingzhe’s words, i i thought about the money she had made from the sale of her shares. She could afford to pay for the school. She had been given the best by her parents so she had to do the sa for Mingzhu.
If she wanted to start rebuilding the bridges she had burned, this was the place to start.
She took a asured breath and nodded. "Lets do it, the Chi Chi school is where Mingzhu is going."
After making that decision, she excused herself to make a call. As soon as she left the living room, Feng Qi turned to her son, gasping and gushing.
"You held hands!!!"
Jingzhe grinned like a happy fool. "Mom, I think she likes , we held hands for an hour. Oh and now too, I did it and she did not push away."
Feng Qi squealed and clapped her hands. "Tell all about it."
While mother and son were romanticizing the mont, i i called her aunt Su Manchu, the headmistress of the school.
