There were so sounds of pity from the audience. The sad hum of "Awww’s."

i i waved her hands, "No, no, no. You should not feel sorry for . I am always telling my daughter that sotis, it is okay not to be okay. It is okay to cry when you are having a hard ti. It is okay to seek comfort in the arms of those who love you.

I was not okay on that day because sothing frightening had happened to . But my eyes were opened and I vaulted out of the snake pit in the end so, no pity for ."

One person applauded and then others followed, one by one. i i sipped so tea, as did Rize and then the interview continued.

"You hurry ho to your daughter, your ex-husband shows up and you end up nearly dead from a head wound." Rize gestured to images on the screen of i i in the hospital when she was going in for surgery and after.

One picture clearly showed Jingzhe in a shirt that had smudges of blood, comforting Mingzhu.

Another picture showed Chi Lian with red eyes, in the embrace of her husband Muyang, facing the closed doors of the operation room.

PD Rao and Ruoxi were the brains behind this move. The old videos had been seen dozens of tis by people. What they needed to see was sothing fresh. Like the picture of Jingzhe, bloody and worried. Mingzhu’s red eyes and the naked fear on her face.

The grief of a family that was not sure if their daughter would make it or not. The union of a family at a ti when one of their own was hurt.

And the gamble worked! The audience expressed a lot of interest in the images. So actually hoping to see them for longer.

"It was a rough day." i i said. "I am just glad that Jingzhe got to in ti. I am glad that my daughter had the common sense to call my father for help. I am grateful that my family rushed to my side despite no communication between us for eight or seven years."

"Because you chose to marry your ex-husband against the wishes of your parents." Rize pointed out.

i i nodded.

"Just so we have a count," Rize looked at the audience and asked, "did everyone in your family disapprove of the marriage?"

i i nodded.

"Everyone...." Rize tilted her head.

Again, i i nodded. "Everyone. His intentions were known by everyone except . I saw him as my savior and he carried himself as such, reminding of this all the ti. He was a manipulative clutch that I latched on to during one of the most difficult periods of my life."

In the cold prison, dinner had been served early, surprisingly. The in mates were treated to a special al, lots of at and chicken and other snacks.

But it was not the only surprise as it was accompanied by a show. i i’s interview was airing everywhere in the prison. No matter where one hid, it could not be escaped.

Mo Liang was sure that it was a deliberate move against him. The warden was collaborating with the Jun’s or his ex-wife to make him miserable.

In truth, it was not the Jun’s. Jingzhe was the brilliant brains behind the feast and show.

So, against his wishes, while eating the most delicious al that had crossed his month in a long while, Mo Liang watched his wife glowing while talking about the ways in which he ruined her life.

He watched her laughing as she talked about her journey to healing and finding herself again.

Every once in a while, prisoners shouted "Hey astronaut" and made funny comnts. He endured all of it because his life had been reduced to rules and a box. He could not escape the box.

Within twenty minutes, the interview had covered most of the events leading to her divorce and the divorce itself. In ten minutes, it covered the derby, the sabotage and the victory.

Then ca a question that made Mo Liang freeze.

On the television screen, Rize said to i i, "So let’s discuss your relationship with the royal advisor Feng Jingzhe."

So people in the audience cheered.

i i touched her cheeks, blushing shyly. She waited for the cheering to stop. But they went into a comrcial break.

By the ti they returned, she was not blushing shyly but radiating confidence.

"Welco back everyone from that little break." Rize was on her feet and she sat down. "When we left off, we were just getting ready to ask Miss Jun ilin about her relationship with the handso young billionaire and royal advisor Feng Jingzhe.

The two announced their relationship to the world after she got her divorce certificate but there were indicators before then that they were involved. Her ex-husband and so haters alleged they had been having an affair long before the public announcent ca.

Today, we are here to clear up the air and fill in the missing gaps. Clap if you want the tea on this relationship."

Everyone clapped.

Rize turned to i i. "So, how did you two et?"

i i tilted her head. "I can’t recall the exact day or mont but I think I t him after I started getting involved with the Mo family. He must have been twelve or thirteen at the ti.

My interactions with him were few honestly. In the beginning I only saw him a few tis after my husband went to space but he started coming around more when he noticed that I was struggling.

I was providing for the family financially, working three jobs and raising my daughter at the sa ti. My in-laws were not helpful at all. He stepped up and started helping wherever he could and in the end, I started to rely on him more and more."

"What a wonderful young man." Rize said.

i i nodded. "He was very respectful. Not even once did he cross the line with in any way. He never slept over at my house even once, he visited during the day when people were around and he always addressed as sister-in-law."

"When did that change?" Rize asked on behalf of the curious audience.

"After my near death experience and the events which preceded it." i i took a sip of tea to cool her parched throat. As she placed the cup back down she continued, "And the events that followed. My ex and I were headed for divorce. There was no turning back.

Jingzhe saw the opportunity and he took it. He told that he was willing to wait as long as it took but he wanted to make a reservation in my heart and by my side. When I was ready to date again, he wanted it to be him."

Rize covered her mouth with the cue cards. "To those of you watching us at ho, take notes."
