Mingzhu and Jingzhe were playing their daily gas at the table during breakfast. It was the sa old pilot ga which never seed to grow old or boring for the pair.

i i was smiling at her twin brother anwhile, eyes slitted with a mischievous glint.

"You can look all you want but my face is not going to change." Mingzhe told her.

She laughed over the cup of coffee that was hovering just below her lips. "Have you read any good books lately?"

Mingzhe automatically thought about the book he had seen Tangning with and the one she ntioned.

"Have you t any interesting people lately?" She asked.

Mingzhe put down his cup and picked up his phone from the table. He touched the screen for a few seconds and then turned it towards her, showing her an image of a foreign man and woman exiting a hotel.

i i recognized herself imdiately. It was her on the day she stole the ring.

"I don’t know who that is." She lied imdiately.

Mingzhe gave her a look that said he did not believe her. But he had no plans to push her. "Let’s go, I will drop you off at the royal courts track."

She put down the cup and stood up. Jingzhe and Mingzhu were staying ho or going out on one of their father-daughter daughters.

i i kissed them both goodbye and yet they insisted on following her and Mingzhe outside to see them off. She watched them waving until she could not see them anymore.

"I never thought that sothing as simple as my daughter and boyfriend sending off to work would be so touching." She said as she leaned back in the seat.

Mingzhe handed a physical file. It had the picture of her in disguise and Jingzhe was there too. "Such a unique couple, aren’t they?"

She closed it and handed it back to him. "I am not one of your suspects brother, you don’t need to play gas. Just co out and ask what you want directly?"

She turned and faced him. They were sitting in the back of the car and Mingzhe’s driver had already raised the partition to give them privacy. They could be open with their conversation as they wished.

He opened the file and took out a photograph. "Is that you?"

"Yes." She answered candidly. "But if you are asking this then we both know that you already figured it out. I did not kill the thief. Why are you still investigating this case? It has nothing to do with the attempted assassination of the Emperor during the National Liberation Day celebrations."

Mingzhe got a lighter and an ash tray. He placed the photograph in the ashtray and set it on fire. Then, he erased the digital copies as well.

"I am waiting brother." i i said impatiently.

"Ever since that day, strange faces have been showing up in that hotel." Mingzhe turned to look at her. "I found out that a specialized interrogator has been staying at the hotel and employees have been experiencing so strange things like missing mories and ti. Soone is ssing with their minds. My guess, whoever owns whatever you stole is trying to find out who stole from him or her."

He showed her photographs of all the suspicious people that had been in and out of the hotel since that day. "What did you take little sister?"

"A ring and a compass." She showed him pictures of what she took.

Then she reached into her bag and took the ring out. It had been in the system space but she didn’t want to let him know that.

"The compass?" he asked as he observed the ring.

"I gave it to my A Zhe." She replied with a smile. "It is so kind of antique compass which...."

"I recognize it." He jumped in. "I also know that all of its previous owners suffered bad luck, one after the other." His voice increased as his temper climbed higher. "Dammit ilin why are you ssing with stuff like this? And why would you give it to your little puppy? That compass costs a lot of money and there are those that would kill to own it."

i i was unbothered. "I know that. As far as I know, A Zhe already opened it up and discovered so kind of powder inside. When it cos into contact with heat from the sun, it produces a poison that causes hallucinations and eats away at the mind.

All the people that owned it were poisoned. There was...is nothing supernatural about the compass. It is in pieces now and A Zhe does not look like he has plans to put it back together any ti soon."

In all that she said, Mingzhe was more curious about the poison. The compass was old, it ant the poison was also old. Who had put the poison there and who were they trying to kill?

Was it the desert prince who was rumored to own the compass first? If he wanted answers, he would have to pay his sister’s little boyfriend a visit.

"Is there anything special about the ring?" he asked her.

She reached into her bag and brought out so papers with the research that C4 had managed to pull from the chip in the ring. "They are research notes on so kind of experintal project which is trying to resurrect things that died a long ti ago. I an giant crocodiles, dinosaurs, dire wolves, snakes and other things.

There is a lab out there where they are acting Jurassic world in real life. I inford mom about it so that she can notify the relevant authorities before Yama the snake starts killing our children for fun."

Mingzhe was already reading the notes she had given him, lost in newfound knowledge. He reminded her of the mont when Tangning spaced out and started writing lyrics to a new song.

In a way, the two were very similar.

With nothing to do, i i read updates from assistant Han on what was going on at the camp. She responded to a few emails and ignored a ssage from a reporter requesting for an interview from her.

It was not the first reporter to reach out to her. Even though the video of her falling from the horse had been removed from the internet, the news of her return to the horse racing world had still spread. So, many reporters were interested in interviewing her.

Even her aunt Rize wanted an interview which i i had already promised to give her. But only after she achieved success.
