With a single post, the peep star sent the nobles into a tail spin. Hos were scanned and searched for caras. New night wear was bought, bedrooms were redecorated, dicines to help with snoring were purchased.
Even i i’s house was not spared from the pillow chronicles madness. Madam Feng was losing her mind, redecorating everything and making every bedroom aesthetically pleasing.
When i i returned from work that evening, she found herself walking into a brand new bedroom. Half of the house had undergone so redecoration as well
i i went back downstairs shaking her head in wonder. "Madam Feng, have you also found yourself caught in the pillow chronicle madness?"
Madam Feng had her hands in her waist, supervising the workers that were putting up the last wallpaper in the dining room.
She looked back at i i and replied, "You saw what the peep star wrote and Mingzhu’s picture. That immoral paparazzo is in the ho of every noble. You are a noble, Mingzhu is technically a princess and Jingzhe is a royal advisor. This house is always crawling nobles, royals and a potential future Empress."
The workers fixing the wallpaper paused at the sa ti and looked back at Madam Feng.
She noticed their looks and warned them sternly, "Your company prides itself on privacy. One word about anything that you have heard in this house and I will make sure you never work again in your lives. Not only that but I will also ensure that you never talk again by cutting out your tongues or feeding you muting poison."
The workers turned back to the wall and started rushing to complete their work like their lives depended on it.
i i scratched her cheek with one finger and smiled. You could cross many people but not her mother-in-law. The woman was as deadly as a venomous spider.
"I saw the new fridge by the way, ilin and I am impressed." Madam Feng gestured for i i to follow her to the kitchen. "You haven’t seen the inside yet, have you?"
i i shook her head.
Madam Feng was gushing and smiling like she had discovered the world’s greatest treasure. "It is the kind of fridge we need at the factory. I don’t know how they managed to put it in as it is part of the pantry. I have never seen a walk-in-fridge that is as advanced as this one. I thought it would be cold when I stepped inside but it adjusted to my temperature."
As she said this, she pulled the fridge door open. A computed voice of a male AI brain ca from above.
[Welco to frostdeep V8100]
Madam Feng looked at i i with dancing eyebrows. "See..." She gushed. "All of our fridges are smart but this one sohow seems smarter."
[Adjusting temperatures to human friendly. Good evening Miss Feng and Miss ilin.]
Madam Feng squealed and shoved i i out of excitent. "I did not even introduce you. I connected it to the internet and it recognizes everyone that lives in the house. I told you...it is smarter than all other smart fridges. Oh-oh....and it makes jokes about cheesecake. Frostdeep, make a cheesecake joke for i i."
[Why did the cheesecake go to therapy?]
Madam Feng blinked like a doll as she looked at i i.
i i shrugged.
"It had too many layers of emotional baggage." Madam Feng said.
i i did not think it could get any more weird but them madam Feng and Frostdeep started laughing and complinting each other before it made another joke.
[ I asked my cheesecake if it wanted to go out. Guess what it said.]
i i shrugged. "I am not in the mood?"
Madam Feng and Frostdeep laughed again.
[It said, I’m already baked.]
i i groaned. She had a feeling that the kitchen was going to beco a much noisier and more crowded place than usual.
The fridge had sections and aisles that were all stocked already. Madam Feng had done shopping worth seven hundred thousand yuan to fill it up even though it was unnecessary.
They had all types of juice, all brands of milk, varieties of fruits, honey, ice cream, at, cheese, eggs, condints, yogurt, chocolate, dicine like eye drops, three bags of artificial blood!!, beauty products, frozen als, desserts, alcohol, sauces and pastes.
i i’s mouth gaped when she saw it all. It gaped even more when she found more humans in the fridge, spending ti inside as if they were in a sauna or lounging at the beach.
"Dad!" She exclaid.
Jun Muyang looked up and i i and smiled. "Your mother said you had sothing that would interest ."
i i looked around with wide eyes. "Please don’t tell that you unscrewed my fridge!"
Chi Lian ca out from behind the pile of apples. "Don’t worry, I stopped him. But, he wants a fridge just like this from you. So....find a way to get one for your dad."
The rest of the guests in the fridge waved at her. It included her grandparents from the Chi and Jun families, one of her aunts from the An family, Princess Rize, her younger siblings and Su Manchu.
"Why are you all here?" She asked them.
"To see the new fridge." Her grandfather answered. "Mingzhe ntioned that you bought a giant fridge which took up half of the pantry and half of the kitchen. It is bigger than a refrigerator truck."
"It is better than a refrigerator truck." Jun Lei said while peeling an orange.
"What are these?" Jun Yi dangled the sweet cubes. "It is square shaped candy that is hard on the outside but soft on the inside with a gooey fruit like thing on the inside."
"Why do you have shoes on in the fridge?" Chi Lian asked i i.
i i looked at her feet and everyone else’s feet. They were wearing socks and she was wearing slippers.
"We got the socks from the small hooks on the side of the fridge. They are thermal socks." Her father explained.
i i nodded. "Okay, I will be sure to wear socks the next ti I enter my fridge. What are you all sitting on?" She asked them.
They were sitting on so translucent very short chairs which looked like so of the sleeping pods she had seen in the system mall.
"Seating pods." Her father said, "They warm the butt and adjust the posture. They are rather comfortable and I am wondering how I can take one ho."
"Can I sleep in here?" Jun Jie raised his hand. "Behind the milk vault, I saw sothing that looks like a sleeping pod or cryogenic tank. This fridge was probably part of a space ship."
Jun Muyang put his hand on his chin, observing the fridge closely. He could see so sense in what his son was saying and it made him wonder where his daughter got it from. If his wife had sothing like this, he would know.
When he looked at his wife Chi Lian, she shrugged. The fridge had not co from any world T4 had access to. C4 was getting his rewards from sowhere else lately and he had built a wall, separating himself from T4 completely.
i i’s system was officially rebelling!
