Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday Chapter 244: An unusal job interview
Taiyuan spread her arms, aghast because she saw no need for i i’s gloating. "What are you celebrating? The value of the painting lays in the terrible death of the painter. Do you plan to kill her?"
"Of course not." i i answered.
"Kill ...just kill ." ihua cried.
i i rolled her eyes. "For heavens sake ihua, it is a broken heart not a Shakespearean tragedy in which you are auditioning for the lead role. Bo Liang is not Roo and you are not Juliet. Nobody is dying for love."
"But it hurts." ihua sobbed.
"Of course it hurts...." Zhilan responded.
i i pinched her before she could add sothing stupid and she cut in. "We know and we love you which is why we are willing to let you shatter our eardrums. But honey, you have mascara on your elbows and in your neck. Your face is fatter than a puffy fish, and you apparently texted ’I STILL LOVE YOU’ to your butler."
Zhilan tried not snigger at that one.
"Also she has not showered since we left Sea city." Taiyuan pitched in.
i i frowned. "Oh honey, it’s ti to shower. No wonder my pets are avoiding you. Now you are a beautiful woman and you will heal and find a new man. If I could survive a cheating husband that abused emotionally, attempted to murder and humiliated in front of caras while laying the bla for our marital problems at my feet, you can also survive an ordinary drama free heartbreak."
ihua started to calm down. "Yes, yes, yes, you are right. At least I was not shoved down by soone I loved while he held hands with his mistress. You are worse than . I feel so much better now."
i i’s face darkened. "Hey, I was just trying to comfort you."
ihua accepted tissues from Taiyuan. "Thank you i i. If you could survive national humiliation and heartbreak, I will survive this. I don’t know how you found the strength to get out of bed the next day. If I were you, I would be in hiding for two years. How are you surviving after such heartbreak and living in poverty?" She looked around the house. "Even your chairs are not from The furniture barn! These are ordinary sofas! I would kill myself if I had to sit in these everyday."
i i’s face darkened so more.
Zhilan chuckled. "You got her to stop crying dramatically, just take the win."
ihua turned her head. "Su mama." She called out.
The nanny ca over quickly, wiping her wet hands on a wet towel. "Miss ihua, you are not crying anymore."
"Mmm." ihua nodded. She raised her hand like an empress and spoke softly like a helpless princess. "Su mama, I need a bath."
Everyone rolled their eyes.
Mama Su was used to ihua’s ways. She had spent a lot of ti at the Jun ancestral ho as a child. She helped ihua up and escorted her upstairs. Along the way, she invited one of the servants to help ihua with her bath.
Taiyuan scoffed, "We are twenty nine and miss I am such a spoiled princess still needs maids to help her take a bath, like an empress."
Zhilan reached for a glass of wine. "Hey, she is taking a bath finally so we should just be happy. This is the quickest I have seen her getting over a heartbreak."
"What do you think of all this Miss Han?" i i asked.
Han Xinyu maintained a professional look. "You have to be more specific Miss Jun. A lot of things have transpired within this little ti."
"My sofas." i i said.
Taiyuan’s mouth fell open. "Sofas! that is what you are asking her about?"
Han Xinyu replied, "Stylish and comfortable. They are sufficient, unless what you are seeking is flashiness. In that case I can make a list of chair vendors that cater to that need."
i i looked at her friends. "Stylish and comfortable. ihua has obviously cried so much that her eyes have gone blind?"
"Miss Han, brunch or lunch?" Zhilan asked.
Han Xing replied chanically, "Brunch is for weekends or those that have no need to be at work between11 to 1 mostly. It is for social leisure, not a necessity. Lunch is a necessity especially if one has been working according to the universally accepted work schedule of most employees."
Zhilan rolled her eyes. She was a brunch person as was everyone in their little group, including i i.
"If my boss is a brunch lover then I will of course adjust and follow accordingly." Han Xing added.
Taiyuan stepped in with what she considered a challenge. "If say, i i has a brunch planned with an investor and accidentally double-books a yoga class and shopping with her mother and a tv interview. What do you do?"
Han Xing blinked. "Cancel yoga, move the interview online. Brunch stays but it is moved up thirty minutes early and it saves her so minutes to go shopping with her mother after.
Brunch can also be moved to the sa venue where shopping will be done and as her mother begins shopping, she takes her eting and when it is finished, she joins her mother.
But, as Miss Jun’s mother is entrepreneurial mogul Lady Chi Lian, even if she joins the brunch eting, the investors will gladly welco her."
Zhilan leaned forward like she was about to ask the world’s hardest interview question. "If i i’s ex shows up here or at the office and harasses her. what would you do?"
Han Xing was quick with an intelligent response. "I have been told that there is a stay away legal protection against him so logically the first thing to do is call the police.
If he attempts physical violence, I am trained in taekwondo, judo, Muay Thai, karate, and MMA. I am very confident that I can protect my boss."
All the ladies were shocked, in a good way. Chen Zhilan made so chopping karate like moves with her hands.
"What exactly were you training for?" Taiyuan asked.
"Or who?" i i asked.
Nobody learned all those skills just to pass ti.
"I was bored and all of them are good exercise." Han Xing responded chanically.
She was like a robot almost, perfect hair that almost looked glued on to her head, perfectly tailored wrinkle free black and white suit and she had been sitting perfectly straight since they started.
"Your mother sent your credentials and they are impressive." i i told her.
"Thank you." Han Xing replied.
"You are hired." i i told her.
Zhilan clapped her hands excitedly as if the job was hers. "Great, now we can all take a look at the surprise I brought you."
She bent down and carried a dium sized translucent container, placing it onto the table. It was covered with a cloth so i i had no idea what was inside.
But, what she did know was that containers always like always ca carrying pets!
"Oh no." She muttered.
