i i could see that light of curiosity dancing in Wu Qing’s eyes.
"The sa rules apply." she said.
Wu Qing was surprised. "No special favors?"
i i shook her head. This relationship was too fresh for her to be making compromises on things related to her earning. This business would feed her and Mingzhu for a long ti.
If she started doing special foolish favors for Jingzhe, wasn’t it the sa as what she used to do for Mo Liang? Business had to separated from pleasure. That was one of her new rules. "We don’t chase n blindly Wu Qing, we chase money and leave room for n. That way, we have the best of both worlds."
Wu Qing nodded. She knew so of the boss’s very publicized past marital tragedies and she did not bla her. Which was why she felt justified in sharing her next opinion.
"Boss, we can actually charge Huaqi a higher price. Let’s be honest, they have the best cheesecakes in the world and their other cakes are just as great. In the entire empire, they only have one branch per city.
Their inventory sells out by 10 or 11 A.M. It will be no different when they open a store here. And the prices they charge...they can afford to pay more in rent."
i i shook her head. "As great as that sounds, I should have ethics. I can overcharge them just because they make a lot of money. I should be more grateful because they are breaking their one store policy per city and opening a second branch in this city just for . That alone shows how much they favor ."
Wu Qing nodded. "And Blue Galactic."
i i’s face beca sterner in a second. "What the hell! They want to open a branch here, why?"
Wu Qing thought that the answer was obvious but as her boss did not know, she decided to spell it out for her. "To sell models of their space ships and other space related souvenirs. I think this is great because we can use our affiliation with them to shed the image of a baby gym."
i i hm-phed in displeasure. That mysterious CEO of the space company was probably looking for a way to steal so of her trade secrets. Even though the technology she had was used for fun, it was still advanced technology that could help any company in the space business progress.
"No." She said flatly.
Wu Qing winced. "Boss, in their application, they included a footnote and urged you to put aside personal grudges and focus on business first."
i i almost swelled like a snake that had undigested prey in the stomach. "Personal grudges!!! Is that what they call sabotaging ti and ti again?" She wheezed angrily. "Fine, if they want to set up shop here, ask them for fifteen million in rent per month. I am sure they will not dare to pay such an unreasonable fee."
Wu Qing’s mouth fell open.
"I am serious." i i pushed a finger on the table, tapping it for emphasis. "No bargaining. If they cannot pay, they should not bother to co. I won’t die if I don’t get their business."
Wu Qing sighed. She scrolled the figure into the computer tablet with a smart pen and made a ’no bargaining’ note. She would add it as a footnote, in the sa way they had added a footnote of their own.
They discussed a few more things and then Wu Qing left.
"Bandit, switch on the television."
The screen turned itself on, switching to Phoenix tv imdiately. News was reporting about a dead man that had been found on the beach. His na, criminal record and the fact that he was a thief were ntioned.
"Oh!" i i pointed at the screen in surprise. Wasn’t that the person she stole the ten legged campus from?
So he was a thief which ant he had most likely stolen the campus. Were her actions related to his death? She held her hand out and commanded the ring and the ten legged compass she taken to appear.
Then, she placed both items on her desk and looked at them. "System, which of these two is more valuable?"
"I would have to pass judgent only after cracking the secrets of the ring. Do I have permission to scan and look into it?" C4 asked.
"Granted." she replied.
The ring vanished from the table and then she put the compass in her desk. It was in a small containable tal box prepared by the system. Tonight, she would give it to Jingzhe.
She opened so files and started to review them while sipping on Juan’s Caribbean Cocoa Tea. This cup of tea alone was worth twenty five yuan!! With all the money Juan tea charged, she felt like she should have charged them five million a month in rent.
i i sipped more cocoa tea and she briefly closed her eyes to process the deliciousness. She was a fan of Juan teas spiced cocoa flavors. Tomorrow, she would get so ginger spiced hot cocoa. The day after, a cup of shadowspice cocoa.
It was one of the best Juan tea sold and also one of the most expensive at eighty yuan for a cup. It was the sa price for their rosewood cocoa bloom tea. i i’ nostrils flared as if she could sll it.
"Stop tea daydreaming." C4 shouted at her.
i i sighed and went back to paperwork. When the Juan tea shop opened, she would indulge as much as she wanted.
