Nobody was more furious to see the picture of the Emperor dancing with Zhenzhen than the Empress. She saw it before the peepstar posted about it. Even though she was not well liked among the nobles, she had collaborative relationships with so and so they had so loyalty to her.

One of them had sent her the picture which in her books was the culmination of the humiliation the Emperor seed to be determined to give her.

The screams of rage which were heard coming from her chambers echoed through the walls and made the servants almost tremble. In such a rotten mood, those that tended to her were in for a verbal tongue lashing.

The celebrations later ended with the usual setting off of fireworks in the sky. They roared like an earth dragon turning over after a thousand years. When it was over, guests left for their hos or hotels.

i i was so tired when she returned to her room that she had no energy to argue when Mingzhu refused to take a bath. She sent her daughter to Aunt Sun Manchu’s room, fell on the bed and slept.

The netizens that were not exhausted decided to engage in an online exchange of ideas to figure out what the emperor’s actions ant, what the absence of the Empress ant and what the little red certificate Jun ilin had recently acquired was.

Others tried to call thr number that the peepstar claid was Chi Lian’s. It was of a pizza place.

While all this was going on, Mrs. Sun was in her old stomping grounds. After spending the day at the palace, hidden away in the back seats with other commoners that had invites she was ready to show off the pictures to her old friends.

Although, calling them friends was a stretch because she had not spoken to or seen any of them in so many years that were practically strangers.

On every National Liberation Day, the residents of No.3 Village apartnt gathered in the playground inside of the complex. They shared als and drinks and played gas as they watched the celebrations on a large theater sized screen.

It had been no different this year, and after the fireworks, they turned up their music and danced care freely while enjoying so barbecue.

Mrs. Sun knew the program so that were she went. She was overdressed and dripping with jade and diamonds from head to toe. All the jewelry that she owned was on her body.

On her right hand, three green jade bangles. On her left, a small gold watch, a tiny gold bracelet and three more jade bracelets. One was red and the other white.

Around her neck, she was wearing five different necklaces like a an upstart hip hop rapper trying desperately to be noticed.

On her ears, there was only one pair of earrings which she found sad as she had six new pairs of earrings that she wanted to show off but sadly could not. She had considered pricking her ears but the thought of the pain and the timing had made her reconsider.

She was not familiar with walking in high heels but she picked the highest stilettos in the shoe store just for this day. Her movents were so wobbly that she had hired two young won to support her as she walked.

Each of them was being paid one thousand yuan for the day. She had tried to convince them to take one hundred yuan and they laughed in her face.

She arrived at the apartnt complex in a convoy of three cars, with six bodyguards. One of them held an umbrella over her head. The others flanked her side, acting as if they were royal agents protecting the Empress Mother.

Of course, such a scene would attract the attention of everyone. As soon as she slipped off her smart sunglasses, her old neighbors that still lived in the area recognized her.

Smiling smugly with pride in her eyes, she pulled her hand from one the young won providing her with support and she waved at the residents. "Hello everyone."

Those that did not recognize her frowned.

"Who is she?"

"Is this a celebrity?"

"Whose rich relative is visiting?"

Questions like that floated around.

anwhile, one of the bodyguards was throwing candy at the children. He was not handing it out politely but tossing it at them as if they were street dogs begging for bones.

It would have been amazing if it was a luxury brand of candy which was rare but it was cheap candy, Each piece cost approximately seventy cents. It did not even cost one yuan.

Because she had ordered for a bulk, it had only cost Mrs. Sun 20 yuan.

When the parents noticed the kind of candy their children were expected to fight over they called them back. Others started throwing the candy back at the bodyguards.

Mrs. Sun was smiling through it all, and she was ready to start the hugging festival and sharing how much all the jewels on her body cost.

One of the bodyguards pulled a cord and the music died down at once.

Ignoring the loud protests and disgruntled noises, Mrs. Sun tapped the microphone app she had downloaded and put her phone close to her mouth and addressed them. "Hello everyone, I am Mrs. Sun or Mrs. Mo. I used to live here a very long ti ago before moving to the capital because my son was a genius. He is the space pilot Mo Liang. I know that many of you are his fans so I brought so personally autographed pictures of his."

The young won next to her scoffed. Her son was caught in an affair. What was there to be proud of? He had climbed up the ladder of the most hated n in the empire--maybe even the world.

Mrs. Sun needed to stop acting as if he was a precious national treasure.

"Oh, my grandson is the national space baby...."

Unexpectedly, a woman leaped on Mrs. Sun with a speed that would have made the Flash cry.

And then, the woman was heard screaming. "You old woman, I was told that you would be here but I thought it was a lie. You stabbed my husband and almost cost him his eye. If I don’t take your eye today, then I am not Peng Wen Yi."

She pulled Mrs. Sun’s hair and slapped her cheeks.

"Stop hitting, stop hitting." Mrs. Sun cried. "You bodyguards, pull her off ."

"And you borrowed my sugar and never returned it." Another woman shouted.

"And she stole my husband’s bicycle and sold it." Another voice was added to the mixture of accusations.

The bodyguards were about to help Mrs. Sun but those wishing to get a piece of her were many and this made them hesitate for a second.

One decided to call the police and the others did their best to intervene. The two young won stood to the side, puzzled because they did not know if they would be paid their remaining balance for the services they had rendered.

Mrs. Sun’s very expensive heels flew in the air as they were ripped off.

She had not known it when she ca to show off but she had co ho to face justice for the wrongs she committed before running off to the capital, many years ago.
