i-i's lips twitched angrily as she watched the countdown to her death on the system screen. The damn thing had basically arrested her using her life, it was the system's way or death.
More annoying than the countdown was the stupid baby fox dancing and twisting as it counted down the numbers. Who in the large universe had given it such a crooked personality? She wanted to sit down with the inventor of the system for a small talk.
Such an amazing thing like a system should have been professional, not treated like child's play.

The sound of thunder charging in the skies traveled into the house through the open windows. It was so loud and sudden, when it reached i-i's ears, it frightened her incredibly that she felt uneasy.
"Mmm, why has the weather changed suddenly?" Mo Jingzhe muttered. He turned to go and take a look at the sky and also bring in the boxes of Mingzhu's toys that were still outside. Before he could go, i-i grabbed his hands.
"Jingzhe, I am not angry with you. You don't have to apologize, I should have considered the possibility of you living with your mother when I invited you to move in with us." She looked into his eyes, reassuring him in a soft voice. "Your mother is like my mother, as long as she is nothing like Mrs. Sun, I will be happy to welco her here."
For the second ti that day, i-i found herself in Mo Jingzhe's arms again and this ti round, there was no Mingzhu to act as a buffer between them.
"i-i, thank you so much, I knew you would be understanding. i-i, do you know that you are the best?"
She tapped his back gently and quickly pushed him away to avoid any misunderstandings. "Err, Jingzhe next ti you can just say thank you with your mouth. You should not go around hugging won randomly or people might misunderstand."
Mo Jingzhe nodded. "I understand what you an, I will be careful when I hug you next ti." He replied and escaped before she could clarify further and draw a line between them.
i-i opened her mouth to call him back and explain what she ant but he was such a fast runner that he was gone within seconds. She covered her eyes with her right hand and sighed. He was young, only twenty four, perhaps it was why he was playful.
[Congratulations host, one robot butler is being delivered now.]
At i-i's feet, a silver stainless steel box appeared out of thin air.
"C4, didn't you hear ? Robot butlers are illegal all over the world. If this thing is found in my house, how will I explain owning one? It is an illegal resident not just in my house but in the country."
The stainless steel box started moving, it made no sounds as its body was reshaped into that of a robot encased in human-like flesh. i-i had seen this kind of robot at ho when she was growing up.
It was like the perfect human specin, a fusion of chanical precision and organic texture. Every bit of it looked human, the skin had pores and veins. If you touched it, you would discover that it was warm. However, if you looked close enough, you could see so inhuman things like the eerie glint in the artificial eyes. The precise movents that were always fluid, a robot butler did not slip or fall, every step it took was pre-programd and calculated.
"Host, this is a next generation robot butler that humans on this earth have never seen. It has the ability to camouflage itself by changing into different objects when you need to hide it or take it with you sowhere." C4 explained to her.
As he explained, she heard footsteps incoming and asked C4 to hide away the robot butler for a mont. It disappeared right as Mo Jingzhe led in a group of eight people__nine, if his mother was included.
"Mommy, grandma has co to live us." Mingzhu declared. She was holding the hand of an older woman dressed in blue cleaning overalls.
"Grandma..." i-i repeated the word and laughed nervously. In twenty four hours, her good daughter had found herself a new father and grandmother. What was next a new mother, sister, brother, grandfather?
Mingzhu pulled her new grandmother towards i-i. "Mommy, grandma brought many people to help. Mingzhu doesn't have to scrub the floor anymore."
"I scrubbed the floor, you just scratched it and made a ss." i-i reminded her.
Mingzhu pouted and looked at Feng Qi, "Grandma, mommy is bullying Mingzhu."
Being called grandma made Feng Qi lt like wax under heat. She just wanted to take the entire world, shrink it and give it to Mingzhu to play with as she pleased. As long as she was called grandma in that whiny coquettish voice, she was willing to walk through glass and fire for her little Mingzhu.
"Mingzhu...." she croaked out and bent down. Crying exaggeratedly, she carried Mingzhu and hugged her. "Why did you scrub the floor? Our baby's hands are ant for playing piano and playing with toys. From now on, leave all the scrubbing to others and just play with grandma. You don't even have to feed yourself, I will feed you."
Mingzhu nodded like a spoiled brat. i-i sighed and covered her eyes, suddenly she started to worry that her daughter was going to be pampered from earth to heaven.
"Mrs....." i-i looked at Jingzhe as she realized that she had no idea how to address his mother. She could not call her Mrs. Mo because she was not from the Mo family.
"Mother, put Mingzhu down and et i-i." Mo Jingzhe tried to take Mingzhu from his mother's arms but it proved to be impossible. The grip his mother had on the child was as strong as the roots of an ancient tree gripping the earth, unyielding and steadfast.
It did not help him that Mingzhu was also clinging to his mother, her own small arms were as strong as gravity itself, impossible to escape.
"Jingzhe, stop trying to tear us apart." Feng Qi bumped her son away with a sway of her hips to one side. She proceeded to ignore him and greet i-i herself.
Smiling at the woman who had captured her sons heart and refused to release it, Feng Qi couldn't help feeling a little sour. She had raised Mo Jingzhe for so long but that kid had no one but i-i in his eyes.
Anyway, it was fine, as long as they got together and had more grand-kids for her to spoil.
"Dear, I am this brats mother. I apologize for intruding like this but when I heard that you were sick, experiencing so trouble and restarting your life I rushed over to help. I own a small cleaning company so I took it upon myself to bring so servants along to help you out daily." Willingly, she surrendered Mingzhu to Jingzhe and took i-i's hands in hers. "Child, I have known Mrs. Sun and Mo Liang longer than you. The battle ahead will not be easy. You can consider extra ammunition. Don't look down on because of my age, grandma's can kick ass too."
