3 a.m was not a ti for anyone to be visiting the camp and yet that is exactly what happened. i i was forced to wake up because the client was paying a whooping ten million for a two day stay at the camp and they had so special requests that only she could fulfill. For that amount of money, she was willing to stay up all night and serve the client in person.
So, she left Jingzhe in bed, dressed up and flew out. At that ti of the night, there were not many cars on the road or in the sky. That was why i i easily noticed the car that was following her.
It had been on her tail from the mont she left her ho, taking the sa right and left turns as her.
"C4, can you find out who is in that car? And take a picture of the license plate just on case."
She slowed down and changed the lane, hoping to fly side by side with the other car and maybe get a peek at the driver. The car suddenly picked up speed and flew past her. i i of course didn’t see the face of the driver. Like many cars in this era, the driver had opted for thick tinted windows which could even block infiltration by so caras.
After watching it fly in the opposite direction, i i shook her head.
"Don’t be too paranoid i i." She whispered.
For all she knew, the car was that of an enthusiastic reporter looking for a story and not soone looking to harm her. She increased her speed and got back in the lane leading to the camp. Two minutes later, C4 inford her that the sa car was following her again, but keeping a bigger distance now.
The news made her paranoid once again. She had the sense that the driver was truly interested in her for so reason. She checked her weapons to ensure that they were close by in case she needed to defend herself. Then, she slowed down and the three cars behind her manged to overtake her.
This silver car was among them. It slowed down at the front and she flew passed it. Then, it increased flying speed from behind her as if it was about to knock her out of the air.
She slamd the brakes and activated the car’s suspension abilities. She used one hundred points to buy ten blocks of C4 explosives. She also bought small disposable boxes with magnets. As long as she could attach the box to the car, she would just blow it up.
Once again, it flew past her.
"Do you know who owns the car" She asked him.
"A female police officer nad, Jiang ng." He told her.
i i had a frown. Why would a police officer be following her? This didn’t feel like protection, it felt more like threatening without exchanging a word. It was not crazy to think that soone would be threatening her as lately, she had made her fair share of enemies.
The top two on the list being the Mo’s and the empress. It could also be a stalker, she did have a few of those when she was still Jun ilin the rich heiress and famous socialite.
"Look into her and find out everything about her including associates and family mbers. If any of them has ties to the royal family, dig it out for ."
She resud the drive to the camp and there were no surprises for the rest of the journey. The silver car was gone. If C4 had not captured a picture of it, i i would have thought that she was truly being paranoid.
When she arrived at the camp, she was surprised to see her ten million yuan client. It was none other than the emperor Long Junjie and so of his royal agents and two secretaries, plus five royal servants.
She rolled her eyes to the skies. "Please don’t tell that you are here because you know tomorrow...no...today is Lian’s birthday and you know that the party is going to held here so you have co early in the hopes of attending it."
"No, I ca because I am stressed and I could not sleep so I brought my daughter Long Wei and my mother to relax." He replied.
i i tilted her head left and then right. She did not see Long Wei or the empress mother.
"They are already sleeping in your pods, in the special lounge ant for family." He inford her.
She turned around and started walking to her private lounge. Junjie followed her and this resulted in an entire group of people following her.
"Stop following ." She turned around and told him.
In turn, he said the sa to his entourage but personally, he continued to follow her. "Your camp is open to clients twenty four hours a day. I am here as a client, I don’t have hidden intentions and the empress will not be showing up here to cause trouble. Long Shuang too..." He followed her into her private lounge, sighing like a sad puppet. "I had to banish Shuang." He said as he helped himself to a seat.
i i was about to open the door to the closet but she was forced to turn around, eyebrows high and a frown on her face. "You banished her! To where?"
"You don’t know!" He exclaid in surprise. "The peep star shared the news with the entire world as soon as Shuang was taken into the royal temple." He winced as if he had been pinched. "Actually, the paparazzo did not share Shuang’s location. I guess that rat still has morals after all. Sharing her location would result in reporters crowding the gates of the temple. Enemies of the dragon house would be quick to attempt to grab Long Shuang and use her to threaten or my family."
"Well, we all know that the royal family does not negotiate with terrorists. This policy has resulted in the death of three of your own family mbers in the last six decades. That is why you all walk with a hoard of royal agents. I am sure that you sent enough of them to protect her." She took a few steps back and sat down. "So you ca here because you want to talk about Long Shuang?"
"You know too well." he smiled, reaching for the biscuit packet in a small basket on the table. "I don’t understand my daughter. I have tried everything, I even set aside one hour daily to spend ti with her, just talking and playing gas or reviewing what she has learned. I even take her shopping once a week. I have given Shuang the sa exact treatnt that I give Wei. And yet, one daughter blossod into perfect royalty and the other one is..." He let out a long sigh and put a biscuit in his mouth. "Where did I go wrong with her?"
"Easy, you and your wife screwed up ssed up." i i blurted.
She was the sa old ilin, all opinions and no filter.
