Fengxue exclaid at the sight of the humongous beast that had just burst out from the ground; her eyes were wide open, and a hint of horror could be seen in her pretty white eyes.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at the thing that had just arrived from the ground with solemn faces as well. Those who were standing on the deck of the aircraft rushed to the edge and looked down; they were imdiately shocked by what they saw.
"It's…it's really a sand beast!" Soone shouted fearfully.
Below the two aircraft that were hundreds of ters high in the air, a giant canyon that stretched for kiloters and was hundreds of ters wide had suddenly appeared on the ground.
All the trees in the surrounding had been uprooted and tossed far away and the earth seed to have been split open.
The sand beast, which was the cause of all this, was currently squirming on the ground and looking at the two aircraft while making inaudible noises.
It was a terrifying-looking warm that was so huge and looked like it could swallow a small mountain in a single bite. The beast had the body of a worm but had three long maws that were filled with ters-long teeth; each of its maws was able to move independently and seed like different creatures tied together by one body.
These maws were several ters wide and looked bloody and terrifying, they were like direct portals to hell!
The body of the worm was even more disgusting; it was constantly dripping with slimy yellow fluid, and the area that appeared to be its neck was filled with boiling blisters that were ssily packed together and looked like they would explode at any mont. The beast was the definition of scary and disgusting!
As for why it was called a sand beast, this was due to its ability to travel unnoticed through the ground. Imagine sothing that was twice the size of two aircraft joined together swimming right under your foot, but you won't feel a thing; this made it a nightmare to both humans and other beasts!
Aside from that, it also had the ability to quickly self-regenerate as long as there was sand! No matter how badly wounded or how close to death this damned beast was, it would miraculously return to peak condition as long as it was able to touch sand; even if it was a small quantity.
Lastly, was its ability to attack with sand. The sand beast could create various attacks from sand and launch them at whatever it wanted.
In fact, it could very well create sand pillars and shoot down the two aircraft in the sky.
"Everyone retreat to the aircraft imdiately!" The leading mask figure shouted, his voice filled with urgency.
All of them imdiately rushed back to their aircraft, but only after leaving threatening words.
"People of the Cloud Dew dynasty, be prepared to die the next ti we et!"
Bai Quing and the rest watched them run back to their aircraft, they did not bother to retort to his words.
"Back to the aircraft!" The green-haired soldier voiced out that they were not planning to make themselves the only target after the Kalahari people left.
Shortly after, both sides returned to their aircraft, and the aircraft flew away from the place, leaving the sand beast to have fun by itself.
As for why both sides did not co together to kill it. Ignoring all of the sand beast's horrifying abilities, it was a ranked beast at the 8 level!
Fighting it with just a few of them was the sa as sending babies to fight a crocodile in water.
An army of powerful martial artists would be needed to kill such a beast and even then, the number of casualties would be glaring!
Both aircraft quickly disappeared from the sky and sped into the distance, leaving the sand beast to itself.
The beast lifted its three horrifying maws into the air as if trying to find the presence it had sensed just now but found nothing. After a few seconds of looking around itself, the gigantic beast plugged into the ground and disappeared without a trace; the ground didn't crack or cause an earthquake even when such a huge beast just entered.
It was as if an ant had crept into a hole.
....
The disciples discussed the beast they had seen on the deck of their aircraft after separating from the Kalahari aircraft.
So of them had returned to their cabins while so remained on the deck to discuss what they just witnessed.
Bai Quing, Fengxue, Quin Xuxu, and the green-haired soldier were currently standing together. Leon wasn't too far away from them, and Lin Shuran was beside him. Linxu road a distance away from him and tried to gain his attention, but Leon pretended not to see her.
Leon was currently asking questions about the sand beast and Lin Shuran took the role of answering.
After learning about the horrors of the sand beast, Leon was left stunned.
"Such a terrifying beast is allowed to roam freely in the world? What if it appears in the middle of a city one day?" Leon asked. He felt that the sand beast had more cheats than him, who had a system; it was unreasonable!
" It can't be helped, who would dare try to kill it?" Lin Shuran said with a sigh; the fear of encountering the sand beast was still visible In her eyes.
"Why should one person kill it? Can't all the dynasties co together and hunt them? It would be a calamity if many of those things appeared in the sa place at the sa ti, they should eliminate them slowly instead of going to war with each other," Leon said with a sneer.
Lin Shuran shook her head, " you don't understand," she said before proceeding to explain to Leon that the sand beast wasn't sothing that was easy to deal with. It was the only one of its kind and was several hundreds of years old. Many experts have tried to kill it in the past, but all of them failed miserably.
Adding to its ability to travel unnoticed under the ground, it was almost impossible to find it unless it wanted to be found.
Besides, it was very unlikely for many dynasties to co together to kill it; humans were selfish and would try to take advantage of such occasions to weaken other dynasties.
Leon rubbed his face after listening to Lin Shuran's explanation, the situation was really complicated.
Such a dangerous beast was allowed to roam freely just because humans were after personal gains instead of uniting.
"Don't think too much, the sand beast would not appear in at least a million miles around the Cloud Dew dynasty for the next couple of years and would go to another location before coming out of the ground again; this was one of its patterns to avoid getting tracked down easily."
Quin Xuxu's voice drifted over at this mont. Leon and Lin Shuran looked over and saw her walking toward them with Fengxue and Bai Quing behind her.
The green-haired soldier exchanged a three-second long stare with Leon before looking away.
'What's up with him?' Leon wondered inwardly. He felt that the man had been giving him too many odd stares lately.
Pushing this thought to the back of his mind, Leon moved his eyes toward Quin Xuxu.
"So we shouldn't worry about it for the next few years, right?" Leon asked.
"Mm, that's right." Quin Xuxu nodded.
Leon let out a relieved sigh, it would be wonderful if what Quin Xuxu said was true.
"We'll be arriving at the Gulu plain soon, everyone should ntally prepare themselves." Bai Quing said from the side.
" All right, I'll be in my cabin before then; co with , Leon. I need your help with sothing," Fengxue said heartily from behind Bai Quing and Quin Xuxu; she proceeded to drag Leon toward the cabin section.
Bai Quing and Quin Xuxu frowned, and their eyes twitched; how could they not know what Fengxue needed Leon's help with?
Hmph, this shaless fox was trying to do sothing lewd before a battle; they would not allow it!
" I have sothing related to his training to discuss with him, so I'll be taking him first!" Bai Quing suddenly declared and moved like a gust of wind, she reached Leon and Fengxue before snatching Leon's hands and pulling him to the side.
" I've neglected Leon's Shi training for a while, I want him to practice with before the battle so I can personally guide him; he's coming with !" Quin Xuxu voiced out and pulled Leon away from Bai Quing's grasp.
"No fair, I invited him first!" Fengxue protested and tried to approach Leon but Quin Xuxu would not allow it.
The three of them soon began to argue over who would invite Leon to their cabin.
Leon "..."
Lin Shuran "..."
The surrounding soldiers "..."
The disciples of the Falcon sect "..."
Everyone was left speechless by the sight of the three strongest won of the Falcon sect arguing over a man; what sort of sight was this?
For the soldiers, it was just so unbearable to watch and they were almost lting from jealousy.
