Bathing in extre agony, Mr. A suddenly sensed a peculiar fluctuation.

Before him, the newly advanced Shepherd's temperant underwent a earth-shattering change in an instant.

His originally mottled and chaotic soul beca harmonious and unified, the lambs within his body beca docile and obedient, completely submitting to the host's control!

"How is this possible!"

Mr. A shouted, losing his composure.

Being a Shepherd himself, he understood all too well how difficult such a state was to achieve.

Even after being a Shepherd for many years, the souls within his body couldn't cooperate so seamlessly.

He had only seen similar states in higher sequence powerhouses like the Dark Saints.

Had this guy completed in an instant the journey he himself had yet to finish?!

Mr. A's gaze wavered. He faltered.

After such a prolonged battle, he was already extrely exhausted.

If he continued opposing this enemy, he probably wouldn't be a match.

As a believer, Mr. A's faith was firm and fanatical, always willing to sacrifice his life for the Lord.

However, if sacrificing his life couldn't even harm his opponent, then his death would be nothing but pure waste.

"Swish!"

A transparent ancient to materialized before him, its pages turning ceaselessly under invisible force. An illusory, ethereal voice arose:

"I ca, I saw, I recorded..."

"Pfft!"

Just as Mr. A attempted to teleport away through peculiar ans, Silas across from him suddenly moved.

He picked up the dagger "Cecilia" had dropped and stabbed it into his left arm!

"Ahhhhhhh!"

The intense pain was faithfully and rcilessly transmitted to Mr. A's side.

He felt his left arm suffer unimaginable torture, imdiately convulsing from the pain. He couldn't even hold the illusory to!

"Crash!"

The to fell to the ground and quickly vanished.

His teleportation was interrupted!

"Damn it!"

Mr. A was both anxious and furious, his left hand hanging limply. He glared at Silas with fury.

However, the next second, his gaze beca blank.

He saw Silas pressing a silver revolver to his own temple, showing Mr. A a cruel and insane smile, slowly pulling the trigger.

"Bang!"

The gunshot rang out. Mr. A's brain was instantly subrged in endless pain.

It was as if all his nerves had beco burning hot, ready to boil his brain matter completely!

He couldn't even cry out in pain, directly collapsing to the ground. Clutching his head, his body arched like a shrimp, convulsing.

On the opposite side, Silas wasn't faring well either.

The side of his head blood like a rose, grayish-white matter faintly surging among the crimson petals.

Yet he forcefully maintained his standing position, staring at Mr. A with malevolent eyes.

"Whoosh!"

Beneath Silas's feet, his shadow, dense as if alive, moved.

Under the enhancent of the divinity within his body, his shadow beca incomparably solid, pitch-black and profound. Even sunlight couldn't illuminate it!

That patch of shadow rapidly squird forward, quickly rging into Mr. A's shadow.

Mr. A's shadow was resisting violently. However, Silas's shadow was clearly far more powerful.

Without much effort, it overwheld the other side and seized control of Mr. A's shadow.

"You!"

A look of astonishnt appeared on Mr. A's handso face.

But in the next mont, the shadow surged upward, tightly wrapping around his body, locking him firmly in the dense black shadow, leaving only his head exposed.

Silas dragged his body forward, step by step toward Mr. A.

Crimson magma surged in his hand. In an instant, a blazing magma greatsword ford once more.

Trapped by the shadow, Mr. A struggled in vain, watching as Silas approached and raised high the greatsword burning with blue flas.

"Who exactly are you!"

Mr. A roared in desperation and fury.

Silas looked at him with mad azure eyes and replied calmly:

"The one who will kill your Lord and destroy your organization."

"Swish!"

The greatsword swung down vertically.

Mr. A's head was easily severed, landing on the ground with a thud, rolling.

"Destroy the Aurora Order, kill my Lord? You're dreaming!"

Even with his head cut off, Mr. A didn't die imdiately.

His head continued cursing Silas as it rolled. "You'll be killed by the Lord's angels, along with that Fool you believe in!"

"Is that so?"

Silas raised his sword again. "Then wait properly for in hell."

Just then, he suddenly stopped and looked toward the distant sky.

His spiritual intuition was issuing a warning. So powerful being was rapidly approaching!

This was Backlund, where the powerhouses of the three major churches and the kingdom gathered.

The battle between Silas and Mr. A had lasted so long, and they had invoked two deities in the process. Being discovered was inevitable.

He had to leave imdiately!

With this thought, Silas acted without hesitation.

His blood-red robe's hem suddenly extended and spread, wrapping and swallowing Mr. A's body and head.

Then his body transford into shadow with a whoosh, diving into the shadow world, concealing his aura, and fleeing at high speed in a direction away from that powerhouse.

"Swish, swish!"

The shadow moved secretly and swiftly, difficult to discern in the gradually darkening streets.

Just as Silas was about to leave this district, he inadvertently glimpsed beneath a streetlamp a small black protrusion.

Looking carefully, it appeared to be a small black cat, its body covered in dirty black snow, curled into a ball without moving.

In the darkness, it opened its eyes slightly, blue light faintly flickering.

Is that... the kitten from that day?

Black cats with blue eyes were rare. Silas instinctively felt this kitten was the one he'd encountered the night he killed Lanevus.

He had once promised "Cecilia" that after curing her ntal illness, he would adopt it and bring it ho...

Thinking of Cecilia, Silas felt a pain welling up from deep within his lungs.

He couldn't help but turn around, risking being caught by that powerhouse.

He rushed before the kitten, his shadow flickering as it wrapped around the kitten's gradually cooling body, then continued his escape.

Fortunately, this interlude didn't affect his safety.

He successfully left the scene before that powerhouse arrived, only distantly sensing the howling fierce wind in the sky.

"Swish!"

When Silas was completely safe, he had already hidden in the depths of so dark alley in the East Borough, slowly sitting down against a wall.

Before he could catch his breath, crimson light surged from the void before his eyes, completely engulfing him.

Silas felt as if he'd passed through a layer of illusory dense fog.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself above boundless grayish-white fog, with an ancient, mottled bronze table before him.

Is this the place I saw in that hallucination earlier?

He slowly turned his head, taking in the magnificent palace supported by towering stone pillars and a peculiar figure at the head of the bronze table.

That figure was shrouded in thick fog, appearing mysteriously unusual, tall and profound.

Silas suddenly understood. He rose and bowed to the other party.
