When it ca to impersonating others, a Rose Bishop had to manually sculpt their own face. But if it was a Faceless, they could basically achieve complete mimicry.

Not only that, a Faceless could even imitate the target's voice. To a certain extent, they could completely replace soone.

This ability was extrely unique and rare. So, even though he might not necessarily use it, Silas still decided to keep it.

Besides that, he could retain two more abilities.

Within the Faceless's soul, there were multiple abilities including "Divination," "Paper Figurine Soldiers," "Air Bullets," "Flaming Jump," "Illusion Creation," "Bone Softening," "Paper Figurine Substitute," "Damage Transfer," "Underwater Breathing," and more.

Wait, what the hell was Underwater Breathing?

It seed to be for underwater breathing. That application was way too narrow...

Ignoring that basically useless ability, Silas also eliminated "Bone Softening" and "Damage Transfer." His own ability to manipulate flesh and blood was already very strong.

He didn't need to soften bones or transfer damage because he generally just tanked damage head-on.

Based on this reasoning, he also ruled out "Paper Figurine Soldiers" and "Illusion Creation." These two skills weren't particularly useful to him either.

That left only "Divination," "Air Bullets," "Flaming Jump," and "Paper Figurine Substitute."

At this point, Silas couldn't help but recall Ma'am M.

That woman had chosen "Air Bullets," "Flaming Jump," and "Paper Figurine Substitute."

Especially "Flaming Jump" could be combined with the Pyromaniac's pyrokinetic abilities to achieve rapid movent with excellent results.

As for "Paper Figurine Substitute," it was also very effective.

A Shepherd with an already robust body, combined with the occasional use of substitutes, would see their already strong survival ability greatly enhanced.

As for "Air Bullets," as a ranged attack thod, he already had "Flesh Bomb," "Pyrokinesis," and other options, so he didn't need to consider it.

As for "Divination"...

Silas hesitated.

Back in Tingen, Klein had taught him divination, and he'd tried it. The results weren't particularly good.

Perhaps his talent didn't lie there. Using grazed divination abilities might improve the situation.

But a considerable portion of divination could actually be replaced by rituals, such as asking spiritual world creatures for answers.

So his need for divination wasn't especially high...

Thus, Silas finally decided the three abilities he would retain were: the Faceless's appearance ability, "Flaming Jump," and "Paper Figurine Substitute"!

As he made his decision, the soul within his body finally locked into the vacant position.

The three abilities manifested separately, establishing a tangible connection with Silas's soul in so subtle way.

As long as he had a thought, the corresponding ability could be used imdiately.

Maybe he should try it out first.

Thinking this, he raised his hand and used the Pyromaniac's ability to create a burning fireball.

Then, toward the other side of the alley, he threw the fireball out.

"Boom!"

The fireball shot out rapidly. When it reached the alley entrance, Silas switched souls to the newly grazed Faceless.

He stared at the fla and released his intent to jump over to it.

"Swish!"

He suddenly felt his body lighten. Fire flashed before his eyes, and when he landed again, the scenery around him had instantly changed. He'd jumped to where the fireball had been!

Really nice, a very useful ability.

Silas nodded with satisfaction.

He estimated that the maximum distance for "Flaming Jump" was around twenty-five or twenty-six ters, which was quite sufficient for general combat.

But the only problem was that a Shepherd couldn't graze two souls simultaneously.

In other words, to combine these two skills, he had to use one first, then switch to the other.

A bit troubleso, and the switching also made the coordination feel stiff. It would be great if he could graze multiple souls at once...

"Whoosh..."

Just as Silas was thinking this, suddenly, the illusory sound of ocean tides rang through his mind.

Hmm? What's going on? I didn't actively summon it...

He noticed with confusion that the invisible tide was resonating, actually flowing down from his mind into his body.

The tide ca down?

An illusory coolness imdiately filled his abdominal cavity, as if seawater had truly surged into his body.

This illusory seawater filled his chest and abdon, while also flooding the spaces within his body where the lambs were housed.

The grazed souls were consequently moistened by this peculiar seawater.

Then, sothing strange happened.

At this mont, Silas was grazing the Faceless's soul. Just monts ago, the Pyromaniac's soul had simply rested quietly within his body, unable to do anything.

But as this tide soaked through him, the originally fixed Pyromaniac soul suddenly beca active.

Under the nourishnt and moistening of the seawater, while Silas was grazing the Faceless on one side, the Pyromaniac's soul was also able to connect with him!

He could graze two souls simultaneously?!

Silas was extrely surprised. He opened his hand, and sure enough, flas ignited in his palm.

And at the sa ti, he was still grazing the Faceless's soul!

Sensing the tide within his body and the activity of both souls, he was both astonished and excited.

As his sequence advanced, this tide of unknown origin was growing increasingly powerful.

"Boom!"

He threw out a fireball, sending it flying toward where the corpse lay, then imdiately used the "Flaming Jump" ability again.

Without switching souls, he smoothly executed the jump.

He could even control the fireball's movent in the mont before jumping, achieving precise control over his landing point.

The flas dissipated, and Silas appeared before the corpse, his face bearing a thoughtful expression.

As expected, much smoother. Without switching, the ti spent on displacent was reduced, and he could combine both abilities.

If the ability I'd retained earlier was "Air Bullets," perhaps right now I could combine the two and fire "Fla Bullets"...

The sound of the tide within his body grew quieter, seemingly because simultaneously grazing had consud so spirituality.

Without the tide, he could only graze one at a ti.

And simultaneous grazing with the tide increased spirituality consumption, so there were trade-offs.

But regardless, this ability of his was much stronger than that of ordinary Shepherds. Used well, it would definitely produce miraculous effects.

Having figured this out, Silas couldn't help but feel delighted.

Just then, footsteps ca from the alley entrance. Looking up, he saw it was his sister Cecilia.

"Brother, is it done?"

She asked softly, as if completely confident in Silas's abilities.

Silas nodded and smiled.

Behind the black-haired girl, Charles and his subordinates were also nervously approaching.

When the group saw the corpse with its horrifying death state, several timid subordinates imdiately began vomiting.

Charles didn't throw up, but his complexion didn't look good either.

Silas didn't care.

He searched the "corpse's" pockets, finding only a few coins, so candles, a pendulum and other divination tools, as well as pre-cut paper strips... He didn't find any paper figurine substitutes.

They might have already been used up.

After searching the body, he stood up and looked at Charles and the others.

This was only dealing with one Beyonder. In the battle zone, more conflicts were erupting.

Silas wanted to inquire about more information and try to gain more benefits from this chaos.

The night had only just begun.
