When Wen Li ca to visit, Tuanzi was holding Tantai Yi’s hand on the left and Li Zhou’s on the right, with Gu Li following behind, all ready to go to the zoo together.
"Cousin Wen Li, are you also going to see the little bear?"
Wen Li had read the stories written by Gu Li and even tried to give so guidance. However, because his guidance turned the warm children’s stories into adult horror tales, Gu Li eventually rejected his guidance in a fit of rage.
Even though he couldn’t change his writing style imdiately, Wen Li could still accurately identify the prototypes of each character in his cousin’s stories.
"Sure," Wen Li glanced at the sowhat smug Gu Li and said with a smile, "I also want to see the little bear, to see if it’s as cute as Miaomiao the little bear."
Tuanzi imdiately visualized a round, fluffy little bear with her face, quickly clarifying, "Miaomiao is not round! Miaomiao is light as a swallow!"
Wen Li looked innocent, "But Little Li used you as the prototype."
He looked at Gu Li and said deliberately, "So this is how you see Miaomiao, huh?"
"That’s not true, I didn’t say that, don’t talk nonsense!"
Gu Li wished he could punch him.
"Hiss."
Li Zhou gasped.
He wanted to communicate with his third brother but was scared away by Tantai Yi’s cold face, so he could only ponder in his heart.
Isn’t this cousin just like that smiling painter? Are they the real siblings?
After successfully teasing Gu Li until he bristled, Wen Li leisurely joined the group that was heading to the zoo.
This was an old zoo that had recently taken in animals from another zoo on the brink of bankruptcy. Because the whole story was shared on the official website, many locals ca to support it, and so even wanted to adopt animals.
There were many people, but everything was in good order.
When Tuanzi saw the newly arrived little bear cub, she was too distracted to stay angry and just wanted to adopt the bear.
"It’s too skinny, hasn’t eaten well at the previous zoo."
Wen Li took her to find a mber of the staff. After inquiring, they learned that many people wanted to adopt this little bear.
Since she wasn’t of age, Wen Li registered under his own na.
Tuanzi didn’t mind the formality; she was more practical.
"I’ll transfer the money to Cousin, and then Cousin can give it to the zoo."
Wen Li nodded with a smile.
The group continued their tour, and the more they saw, the more they realized that the living standards of the newly transferred animals were previously very low; they were skinny, and so were even sick.
The cost of treating animals isn’t lower than that of humans.
"But I heard there are doctors volunteering to treat the animals for free."
"I heard that too. Those people who ca before were veterinarians, right?"
"Yes, they seem to have so foundation that sponsors the zoo."
"They’re so kind-hearted!"
"Not only kind-hearted, but one of the doctors is quite handso and seems very gentle."
Snippets of conversations reached their ears.
Veterinarians, foundation, handso, gentle.
Putting these keywords together, Tuanzi couldn’t help but tilt her little head back, "Could it be such a coincidence? Could it be that Chunting is here?"
After all, wherever there were animals in distress, this cousin would appear.
"We can just ask and find out."
Wen Li sent a ssage and waved his phone, "He’ll reply when he’s free. Let’s keep touring and jot down all the animals you want to adopt. We can register them all later."
"Great, great!"
After circling around for a bit more, Wen Li received a call from Jin Chunting.
"I’m at this zoo. Why are you asking all of a sudden?"
"Because I’m here with Little Li too."
Wen Li’s voice carried a smile, "How about having lunch together later?"
The person on the other end hesitated.
Feeling neglected, Tuanzi jumped up and shouted loudly, "Chunting, Miaomiao is here too. Where in the zoo are you? Miaomiao will co find you!"
Jin Chunting gave an address and then explained, "We’ll rest for about ten minutes, then have to treat the next animal. We’ll have more ti to rest by noon."
"That’s okay," Tuanzi simply climbed Wen Li like a tree, gripping his arm with her small paws, and conversed with Jin Chunting, "Even if it’s just a few minutes, it’s nice."
After hanging up the phone, Tuanzi imdiately turned to Wen Li with a serious face and glared.
"Cousin, is Miaomiao’s presence that weak? Why didn’t you ntion Miaomiao just now?"
Wen Li looked completely innocent: "No, I just didn’t think it was necessary to ntion everyone. Besides Little Li and , there’s you and two senior brothers. Do I have to na everyone?"
Crossing her small arms, Tuanzi looked suspicious but couldn’t find a reason to argue. In the end, she sheepishly jumped to the ground and headed for the address given by Jin Chunting.
With two cousins tagging along, Tantai Yi and Li Zhou simply parted ways to tour around on their own.
When Tuanzi and the others arrived, Jin Chunting was talking to soone.
He was wearing a white coat with very obvious, still fresh stains on the edges.
Tuanzi raised her small paw, ready to greet him, when Jin Chunting slightly turned his head to reveal a spot near his shoulder wrapped in bandages.
Her heart instantly leapt.
She hadn’t even jogged over when she noticed a gaze.
"Hey? Chunchao, you’re here too?"
The young dentist, dressed in casual clothes, was leaning against a pavilion pole, holding a phone.
Tuanzi could almost imagine Jin Chunchao standing there playing with his phone.
"Here to supervise him."
Jin Chunchao showed little expression, but his eyes bore a hint of helplessness.
"Afraid he’d get into a fight again."
Tuanzi: (O_o)??
"Get into a, a fight? Chunting would fight soone?"
She patted her little ears, doubting her hearing.
Could such a gentle cousin really fight? It seems more likely that Gu Li would fight!
"With that zoo on the verge of bankruptcy."
Jin Chunchao ca over and took the initiative to explain, "You must have seen the batch of animals transferred here. That zoo had actually applied for assistance from the foundation to barely maintain operations. But later, the owner beca increasingly negligent in managent and asked the foundation to help transfer those animals to this zoo."
Tuanzi thought carefully.
"Isn’t that good? Why would Chunting fight soone?"
Jin Chunchao’s gaze turned cold.
"That zoo had a hybrid offspring of a white tiger and other tiger species. A foreign tycoon offered a high price, so the owner faked records and, before people ca to move the animals, announced that the tiger had died of illness, intending to secretly sell it abroad."
Worried his sister wouldn’t understand the intricacies, Jin Chunchao elaborated, "Even though that tiger wasn’t a white tiger, its chances of producing white tiger offspring were higher than those of regular tigers, which is why soone wanted to buy it for a high price."
Coincidentally, Jin Chunting had previously examined this tiger’s health and was quite certain it was healthy. Even if a sudden illness occurred, it couldn’t have died in such a short ti. Furthermore, when Jin Chunting requested the dical records for the tiger, the owner couldn’t provide them.
"And then Chunting angrily hit soone?" Tuanzi asked cautiously.
"He didn’t do it imdiately," Jin Chunchao pressed his forehead, "My brother found the transportation route and was preparing to intercept it when the owner tried to stop him, leading to a scuffle."
