The siblings exchanged emoji stickers lovingly and harmoniously.
"Chunting, even if you share these later with..." Tuanzi didn’t dare to na anyone, timidly glancing at the bedroom where Jin Chunchao went, "you can’t say Miaomiao sent them to you."
Jin Chunting made a promise.
"Ah, he’s not soone easy to tease, only I entertain myself a bit."
Tuanzi looked at him admiringly, daring to tease a dentist, how brave!
Jin Chunchao bought a house with four bedrooms and two living rooms, so everyone gets their own room now.
Tuanzi was a bit scared of Jin Chunchao, but also very curious about him. Seeing him living alone in such a big house, she held her big brother’s hand and expressed her doubts, "Is it because housing prices in Yun City are too low, or is being a dentist very profitable?"
Even their uncle could only afford a three-bedroom house, supposedly having paid off the mortgage for many years.
Gu Cheng had a peculiar expression, "Why are you suddenly interested in housing prices?"
He thought his sister only cared about eating, drinking, playing, and martial arts.
"Not really, it’s what others said, Miaomiao overheard!"
Tuanzi’s hearing was particularly good, and sotis she would automatically block out words she deed aningless. But most of the ti, she was very interested in the present age, often openly eavesdropping. She discovered that people often talked about housing prices, so she learned a thing or two.
Facing a pair of curious big eyes, Gu Cheng first answered her question, "Both."
Before his sister could question further, Gu Cheng advised, "Don’t listen to everything people say. So speak with foul language; don’t learn that."
He occasionally encountered kids who surprisingly could utter vulgar words, which shocked him. A little observation revealed that these children learned it from those around them.
Their learning sources included family mbers, relatives and neighbors, people encountered when shopping with parents, or older kids. Among them, family and friends who they spend much ti with have the deepest influence.
He had always been self-disciplined, constantly mindful of his words and deeds. His brother had no such habits, and his sister had no classmates now. But she was a fast learner with a curious mind. He was worried that when they weren’t aware, she would randomly pick up on others’ habits.
Even though single, Gu Cheng worried about parenting concerns.
"I know, I know."
Tuanzi nodded perfunctorily, "Little Gu already told Miaomiao."
When hearing sothing inappropriate, the system would play nursery rhys in her mind.
As she listened, she couldn’t help but sway to the rhythm or even dance, ignoring what others were saying. With the system’s supervision, her brother’s worries were unnecessary.
Gu Cheng was silent for a few seconds.
"Who is Little Gu?"
Tuanzi: "..."
[Ancient Martial System: ...]
"Oh, it’s so late, Miaomiao has to sleep now."
Tuanzi scurried to a bedroom door.
This was a room Jin Chunting had prepared in advance, especially for her.
Prepared aning bedding was laid out with a new bedset.
Jin Chunchao was particular about cleanliness, with plenty of spare bedsets at ho. Jin Chunting had specially chosen the most colorful set for his sister and secretly told Tuanzi that his mom had specifically bought it when she stayed a few nights, complaining the room was too plain.
After washing up, Tuanzi rolled around on the colorful bed and closed her eyes to sleep, when she suddenly rembered sothing.
"Wait, isn’t that soone’s room next door!"
She sat up, holding her face in terror.
[Ancient Martial System: Yes, the room next door is Jin Chunchao’s]
The four-bedroom layout had two rooms facing each other. Tuanzi and Jin Chunchao were neighbors, with their brother and Jin Chunting opposite.
Jin Chunting had specifically reserved this room for his sister due to its small balcony, where standing could give a perfect view of the community’s artificial lake.
But now, staring at the moonlit balcony, Tuanzi only thought of scenes from movies she had seen, making her feel uneasy.
"I don’t, I don’t want to sleep in this room."
She climbed out of bed, careful not to disturb the person next door, tiptoed to the door, quietly turned the knob, and sneaked out, gently knocking on Gu Cheng’s door.
She knocked for quite a while, but it was Jin Chunchao who opened his door first, still cool with a hint of impatience, his clear eyes sweeping over, "Can’t sleep?"
Tuanzi: !!!∑(゚Д゚ノ)ノ
Luckily, at this mont, Gu Cheng also opened his door, his slightly ssy hair indicating he just woke up.
"Miaomiao?"
Tuanzi had already slipped into the room with a "whoosh," leaving Gu Cheng and Jin Chunchao to share an awkward glance.
Jin Chunchao closed his door, and Gu Cheng also shut his, turning to find his sister had climbed into bed, lying flat, covers neatly over her neck, pretending to be sound asleep.
Was she expressing a request to change rooms with her actions?
Gu Cheng couldn’t do anything about it, so he went to the opposite room. Seeing the marvelously colored sheets and cover, he paused for a few seconds before resigning himself to lie down.
Tuanzi initially pretended to sleep, trying to claim the bed, but later truly fell asleep.
The next morning, she seed to have forgotten last night’s fright, happily changing clothes and running off to brush her teeth.
"As long as I brush my teeth well, big brother has no reason to stop from eating sweets!"
She stood on a stool brushing her teeth, humming an obscure tune. But as she brushed, she felt sothing was off.
[Miaomiao: Why does this tooth at the bottom feel a bit wobbly]
The system accessed so information briefly.
[Ancient Martial System: It’s common for children to first lose these bottom teeth]
Tuanzi’s face instantly filled with horror.
[Miaomiao: It’s definitely because I’m at the dentist’s house, so my tooth is loose, it’s a dentist’s curse!]
[Ancient Martial System: Frankly, this tooth was loose for a while, you’ve complained several tis before, didn’t you rember?]
Tuanzi tilted her head in thought, indeed not recalling any complaints.
Perhaps the symptoms were mild back then, or she thought she was hallucinating, and just casually remarked on it. The system, however, had recorded the instances.
She was quite scared.
[Miaomiao: Isn’t it too early to lose teeth, isn’t it supposed to be at six years old]
[Ancient Martial System: So start to lose teeth around four and above, it varies from person to person, everyone’s physique is different]
Noticing her fear, the system comforted her, explaining that many people’s teeth take a long ti to actually fall out after becoming loose; she was just now noticing, but there was still ti before they fell out.
Tuanzi indeed regained her calm, brushing her teeth with extra care, unaware that the system silently criticized her in return. Although loose teeth won’t imdiately fall out, the host’s carelessness could delay her noticing until they had been wobbly for quite so ti.
Yet, it dared not share this with Tuanzi.
At breakfast, Tuanzi ate particularly delicately, taking small bites and chewing slowly.
Gu Cheng glanced at her several tis, "Toothache?"
"No, no, absolutely not!"
With each word, Tuanzi watched Jin Chunchao sitting across.
From yesterday to today, she had only heard two sentences from this cousin: First, "Mm," and second, "Can’t sleep."
Afraid her brother would inquire further, and Jin Chunchao might check her teeth, she switched to taking big bites. After breakfast, she even washed an apple, nibbling on it delightfully.
But as she was eating, she realized sothing was wrong, looked down, "Eh, why is Miaomiao’s tooth on the apple?"
