Bear-san Fighting the Ice Dragon Part 2
Our battle with the Ice Dragon began in earnest.
I sent back Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear just in case.
The Ice Dragon, perhaps because it knew it could withstand my flas, descended to the ground.
Then it roared, threatening.
The air shook, stirring up fear.
A normal person would have stood there, unable to move, and be hit by the Ice Dragon's attack.
But neither Kagali-san nor I were normal.
"Shut up." (Kagali)
Kagali-san fired a fire spell at the Ice Dragon. It hit the Ice Dragon's body, but that was all it did. It left a small mark, but soon a film of ice covered it, protecting its skin.
I could tell that its body was cold all the ti.
So normal fire magic was like pouring water on ice.
There would be no imdiate results.
If so, maybe I should use a giant fla.
I gathered my magic power.
A giant tornado of fire appeared before , big enough to cover the Ice Dragon.
The tornado of fire lted the surrounding ice.
The sheet of ice covering the surrounding area quickly turned to water and evaporated.
The tornado of fire moved towards the Ice Dragon.
The Ice Dragon opened its mouth and spewed cold air towards the tornado.
When the tornado of fire and the cold air collided, the fire and ice mixed, and a red and white tornado rose.
I was pushed back by the cold air that continued to be released. Not to be outdone, I unleashed more Bear Fla.
The cold air Ice Dragon spewed out was stronger.
But the cold air it could spew out was not infinite.
Soon enough, the Ice Dragon stopped.
The tornado beca a tornado of only fire again.
"I won." (Yuna)
The tornado of fire attacked the Ice Dragon who had stopped spewing cold air.
I thought I could deal great damage to Ice Dragon with this attack, but soon the tornado changed color again.
The fire tornado weakened, the red flas disappeared, and it turned into a tornado of ice.
The fire tornado had been taken over.
Not only that, it had been transford into an ice tornado.
The Ice Dragon roared, and the ice tornado started to move.
This ti it started moving towards .
You've got to be kidding .
There was an egg behind .
I protected the egg by surrounding it with earth magic.
But I didn't know if I could protect it from that tornado.
I created another fire tornado to sohow counter it.
The surrounding ground was gouged out, and it was rough as if a storm had just passed. Thankfully, the egg was safe. I didn't have to confront the old Ice Dragon.
"Are you okay, Yuna?" (Kagali)
"Yeah, I'm fine. I never thought that my fire tornado would turn into an ice tornado." (Yuna)
The battle between us and the Ice Dragon continued.
Bear kick!
My flying kick hit the Ice Dragon.
The Ice Dragon's body shook.
As expected, even a Bear Kick didn't blow away the giant.
But I was able to break his balance.
I circled around and hit it with fire, but it froze imdiately.
My firepower was weak.
As expected, attacks from the outside didn't do any damage.
As a rule, I think that destroying the inside of a large monster's body from its mouth was effective.
I thought that if I could shoot fire into the Ice Dragon's mouth, I could win.
However, looking at the current situation, I was not sure if I could do it.
Cold air was constantly overflowing from its body.
Also, its neck moved, so I was unable to aim magic into its mouth.
If I got any closer, the Ice Dragon's hands got in the way.
And it didn't keep its mouth open all the ti.

In the end, I might have to plunge into its mouth, ready to be eaten.
That would be fine with a normal monster, but this was an Ice Dragon.
Its huge mouth, incomparable to that of a black tiger, looked like it could chew anything to pieces, and its strong jaws wouldn't let go of its prey once it was bitten.
If I couldn't defeat it, it might bite and freeze , along with my Bear Gear.
Of course, there was a chance that I would be fine.
For now, I should check what I could do.
"Kagali-san, please back up!" (Yuna)
I ran off.
The Ice Dragon stood up and just flapped its wings, creating a gust of wind to impede my movents.
But I was wearing Bear Gear, so I ran through the gust of wind.
And in my right hand I was holding the Swaying Bear knife.
I kept my left hand free so I could use magic.
I ran around the Ice Dragon.
Kagali-san cast fire magic, covering as I approached the Ice Dragon.
I closed the distance from the blind spot and attacked the Ice Dragon's body with the magic imbued Swaying Bear knife.
I slashed it.
But all that happened was a single streak appeared on the Ice Dragon's body.
Then, this would do.
I wrapped the Swaying Bear knife in flas.
A flaming mithril knife.
Normally, it would be too hot to hold, but with my bear puppet, it was not hot.
The red-hot mithril knife attacked the Ice Dragon.
It pierced deep into the Ice Dragon's skin. It also carved a wound along with lting the ice coating on the dragon's skin.
Alright!
Just as I was thinking of attacking like this…
"Yuna!" (Kagali)
At the sa ti as Kagali-san shouted, I was blown away.
Hit from the side?
At the ti of impact, I vaguely saw the Ice Dragon's tail.
I didn't notice the attack from my blind spot.
My light body rolled on the ground.
Perhaps I was blown away from a bad angle, so I ended up rolling down the slope.
"Yuna!" (Kagali)
Kagali-san ca flying towards .
"I-I'm fine." (Yuna)
"But you were hit by the Ice Dragon's tail…" (Kagali)
As I thought, it was really the tail that hit .
I stood up to prove that I was fine.
Kagali-san looked relieved when she saw that.
"Don't make an old lady worry too much." (Kagali)

That just showed how worried she was.
"So, what do you plan to do?" (Kagali)
What should I do?
Bear Flas didn't work.
I could cut Ice Dragon with the mithril knife, but it didn't do as much damage as I thought it would.
It was not that it didn't work, but rather that attacks from the outside didn't work well.
I guess the only way was to attack inside the body.
"Kagali-san, I'll try to attack the inside of its mouth sohow." (Yuna)
"That's dangerous!" (Kagali)
"That's the only way I could think of to defeat it right now." (Yuna)
"Promise , you won't push yourself too hard." (Kagali)
"Yeah. I value my life too." (Kagali)
The Ice Dragon's movents were faster than I thought.
Trying to jump inside its mouth would be like jumping into the center of its attack.
But its mouth was also its weak point.
There was a saying that goes, "You can't catch a tiger cub unless you enter the tiger's cave."
You couldn't defeat sothing so strong without taking so risks.
First, I needed the dragon to exhale the cold air.
That cold air was its most dangerous attack.
But to launch it, the dragon must open its mouth.
Kagali-san and I ran down the slope.
There was the egg up there. This was not an opponent which I could fight while worrying about the egg.
Also, if the timing was bad and the cold air it spit out happened to be in the direction of the egg, it would be awful.
It was not an opponent I could win against while protecting the egg.
Kagali-san and I went down the slope, trying to attract the Ice Dragon's attention.
We ran through the forest, using the trees as blind spots to attack.
The trees hid us from the Ice Dragon, but when the Ice Dragon moved around, the trees fell. If it swung its tail, countless trees would fly away.
And the snow got in the way.
But I'd learned sothing new. Bear shoes could walk on snow just like when I walked on water.
I always rode Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear when moving through the snow, so I didn't realize it had this effect.
We ran on the snow.
We went down the mountain and reached a place where there was flat land.
As I thought, flat land was better than slopes.
There was a flat area near the top of the mountain, but it was narrow, so it was difficult to fight there.
I was hit by its tail and fell off the mountain side.
But now I stood in front of the Ice Dragon.
The Ice Dragon seed to be irritated. It was growling, and cold air was leaking from the gaps in its mouth.
The timing to attack was when it spit out cold air.
If it spit out cold air the mont I thrust into its mouth, who knew what would happen.
"Kagali-san, when the Ice Dragon releases cold air, I will charge in, so please cover ." (Yuna)
"… Understood." (Kagali)
Kagali-san and I ran out.
I ran around the Ice Dragon. Kagali-san flew.
Cold air leaked from the Ice Dragon's closed mouth.
I asured my timing.
I could tell the Ice Dragon was also asuring its timing.
The Ice Dragon's eyes moved.
I launched an attack at its eye, but it was deflected by its arm.
What's troubleso about the Ice Dragon was its tough skin and the cold air it spewed. Moreover, its tail attacked from blind spots, and its strong arms protected its face. Its wings created wind. Sotis, even its wings got in the way of the attacks.
It didn't attack from the sky, as if to show that it could win on the ground as well.
Perhaps it had co down to kill for sure, to prevent from getting away.
I'd like to say that it was a naive move, but the Ice Dragon naturally felt that it had the power to do just that.
I ran around the Ice Dragon. And I then went behind it, dodged its tail, and jumped.
The Ice Dragon's wings moved as if it had eyes in the back of its head.
The wings hit as I jumped.
I was not damaged, but I ended up rolling on the ground.
The mont I stood up and looked at the Ice Dragon, its mouth was open.
I dodged and attacked.
The mont I thought so, I realized where I was. There was a town behind . It was far away, but the blast of cold air might reach it.
No matter how dead the town may be, it was Lize-san's town.
There was no avoiding it.
I released the magic power I had been saving to release into the Ice Dragon's mouth.
Three large Earth Bear walls appeared before .
I made it in ti.
The Ice Dragon released cold air.
I could hear Kagali-san screaming from sowhere.
I continued pouring magic power into the Earth Bears.
The cold air was blocked by the Earth Bears' protective wall.
The cold air subsided.
The Earth Bears were frozen.
But I had protected the town. Since the Ice Dragon had just exhaled cold air, its mouth should be open right now.
The shortest distance.
I erased so of the frozen Earth Bears and ran towards the Ice Dragon at the sa ti.
Its mouth was open. This was my chance.
I jumped towards the Ice Dragon's mouth.
Magic power was in my hands.
I transford my magic power into Bear Flas.
The Bear Flas appeared in front of .
I thrust it into the Ice Dragon's mouth.
Cold air began to gather in the Ice Dragon's mouth.
Rapid fire!?
Directly in front.
Point-blank range.
There was no avoiding it.
"Yuna!" (Kagali)
Kagali-san blew away from the side.
The scene played out as if in slow motion.
Kagali-san remained in the place where I had been before she pushed away.
Then it was followed by the Ice Dragon's attack of cold air that it spewed out towards her location.
I heard that when a person sensed that their life was in danger, the world went into slow motion.
It was as if the world had stopped.
Kagali-san was enveloped in the Ice Dragon's cold air in my place.
