Bear-san Reunites with the Adventurers
As I looked at the lake, I kept reminiscing about Carina. I could hear Fina and the others riding on the Camoles and making happy noises.
And I’m glad I brought them here.
“Yuna-saan!” (Noa)
As Noa waved her hand widely, I waved back at her.
The Camoles swam together in a line.
They were like siblings of wild ducks.
Misa was in the front, followed by Shuri, Fina, and Noa.
“Swim faster! Overtake everyone.” (Noa)
Noa called out to the Camole, but the Camole she was riding didn’t seem to care and swam at the back.
Maybe there was a hierarchy among the Camoles.
Perhaps the Camole Noa was riding on was the youngest.
But it was interesting to see Misa at the front and Noa at the back.
It always felt like Noa was in the front and Misa would be behind her.
I think it was good to have sothing like this sotis.
Then, it looked like the ti had co for the Camoles to return.
The Bird Keeper ca out of the hut almost at the sa ti.
“Thank you for your hard work.” (Bird Keeper)
The Bird Keeper fed the Camoles when they returned and stroked their necks to show his appreciation.
Fina and the others got off the Camoles.
“It was fun.” (Noa)
“I wanted to ride a little longer though.” (Misa)
“Birds need rest too, so let them rest.” (Yuna)
“That’s right.” (Fina)
When the birds entered the enclosure, they curled up and rested.
“I wonder if the birds are tired.” (Shuri)
Shuri looked at it worriedly.
“It is the sa as humans. If Shuri plays a lot, you will also get tired and fall asleep.” (Yuna)
“Yes.” (Shuri)
“The birds are also tired from playing with Shuri. Let’s let it rest.” (Yuna)
“Yes.” (Shuri)
When Shuri nodded obediently, Noa and the others didn’t say anything selfish.
Well, if Shuri, the youngest, didn’t get selfish, the older Noa and the others couldn’t stay selfish either.
“Well, let’s go get changed.” (Noa)
Their swimsuits were wet.
Even if they were riding on a bird, they were still soaked.
If they had been wearing fancy clothes, it would have been difficult for the birds.
But in this heat, I was sure that clothes would dry quickly even if they got wet.
Fina and the others agreed and went into the hut.
Well, what should we do next?
If we were going to et Carina, I would have to introduce her to Noa and the others.
Or should we put off eting Carina and go see the pyramids outside the town?
As I was thinking about what to do next, Fina and the others ca out of the hut.
Then, they thanked the bird keeper and ca over to .
“Sorry to keep you waiting, Yuna-san.” (Noa)
“Where do we go next?” (Misa)
“Are you feeling tired?” (Yuna)
They did spend ti riding on the backs of the birds.
I didn’t ride horses, so I didn’t know, but I heard that riding a horse for a long ti was tiring.
By the way, even if I rode Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear for a long ti, I didn’t get tired.
“I’m fine.” (Noa)
“I’m fine too.” (Misa)
“ too!” (Shuri)
Noa, Misa, and Shuri spoke up, and Fina nodded.
Kids sure had a lot of energy to spend.
“Then let’s go outside the town.” (Yuna)
I put Carina’s matter aside for now and went outside the town first.
Outside the town there was a pyramid.
I didn’t know if Noa and Misa would learn anything from seeing the pyramid, but it should be useful.
“Outside the town?” (Noa)
“I have sothing to show Noa and Misa.” (Noa)
I started walking towards the gate that led out of the town.
There were two gates in this town.
One was the entrance coming from the royal capital.
And on the other side was the entrance leading to the pyramid. I heard that it was also the entrance directed to another country.
I’d like to go to that country soday.
“What’s outside the town?” (Noa)
“There’s a big, triangular building. And outside the town, everything is just sand!” (Shuri)
Shuri answered before .
“Sand?” (Noa)
Noa and Misa, who hadn’t seen outside of the town yet, tilted their heads in confusion.
I think they couldn’t imagine it because they’d never seen a desert before.
I’d never seen a desert in my original world either.
And I only knew it from images.
If you’d never seen it in a video or book, you might not be able to imagine it.
As Shuri and Fina were walking and talking about the outside of the town, a well-built male adventurer ca walking towards us from the front.
His face and armor looked familiar.
The male adventurer and I t each other’s eyes.
“So it’s the bear girl after all.” (Uragan)
“Um, uh, Uragan?” (Yuna)
It was the adventurer I t in this town.
Carina was looking for an adventurer at the Adventurer’s Guild to go to the pyramid with her. At that ti, I was going to ask Uragan’s party for help, but they treated as a nuisance and tried to chase away.
Well, after that, various things happened, and I ended up going to the pyramid with the adventurer Jade-san and his friends. He commanded the adventurer party at that ti.
“Do you rember this ti?” (Uragan)
I t him before when I went to the royal capital to give Fina a birthday present. (See Chapter 572)
I didn’t rember his na then.
“But weren’t you at the royal capital?” (Yuna)
“Oh, I’ve been working in the royal capital for a while since then, and considering the effectiveness of this armor, this was the best place to earn money.” (Uragan)
There was a big scorpion when we went inside the pyramid.
When I defeated the big scorpion, I gave so of its materials to Jade-san and Uragan.
When I t Uragan in the royal capital, he already made so equipnt out of it and equipped it.
“Effectiveness?” (Yuna)
“As I said before, armour made from big scorpion’s materials was strong but light. So, unlike heavy armor, it is much easier to move around in it.” (Uragan)
I rembered the story of how it was fine even after being bitten by a tiger wolf.
“Another thing I found was that this armour doesn’t beco hot, unlike armour made of iron when exposed to the heat of the sun.” (Uragan)
“Really?” (Yuna)
“Even though I say it doesn’t heat up, that’s only in comparison to armour made of tal. Iron heats up quickly in this area, so adventurers here can’t wear armour made of tal for long.” (Uragan)
In the endless sumr sun of the desert, iron armor when exposed outside gets hot enough to burn you.
I’d seen news reports of kids getting burned on slides and videos of people making fried eggs on the hood of a car.
It was a story that had nothing to do with , since I was stuck in a room with the air conditioner on.
“But with this equipnt, I could bear the heat longer, so I have an advantage over other adventurers. That’s why I thought I’d make so money here for a while.” (Uragan)
So that was why he was in this town.
“I’m glad it was useful.” (Yuna)
Whether it was materials or armor, I’d be happy if people could use it and put it to good use.
There were plenty of materials lying around in my bear box, so they were becoming a stockpile of unusable things.
“So, why are you in this town, young lady? I heard from Jade that you live in a town other than the royal capital.” (Uragan)
“I just ca to play.” (Yuna)
“Play…” (Uragan)
Uragan turned his attention to Fina and the others beside .
“Is it possible because of your bears?” (Uragan)
He seed to have concluded that we ca here on Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear.
Well, there was no need to tell the truth.
“My bears are special.” (Yuna)
“I heard about you in the royal capital after that.” (Uragan)
I was curious to know what kind of story he heard.
Well, it was definitely a crappy story.
I didn’t want Fina and the others to ask weird questions, so I changed the subject.
“Are you alone today?” (Yuna)
I didn’t rember how many people were in his group, but there were surely many people.
But Uragan looked dumbfounded at my question.
“Why do I have to hang out with those guys even on my days off?” (Uragan)
Uragan answered as if it was obvious.
When it ca to parties, I had the image of their group always being together, but it was true that they didn’t have to hang out together even on their days off.
They could eat what they liked, et other friends, or go see their partners if they had one.
“Besides, if I’m always with them, I can’t even rest when I should.” (Uragan)
His leader was both a friend and a boss. Maybe he was also being professional about his relationships.
After a little chat with Uragan, he said he had sothing else to do and left.
“Yuna-san, you know people in many places, don’t you?” (Noa)
Noa, who had been quietly listening to our conversation up to now, asked.
“We just defeated monsters together when I ca here before.” (Yuna)
“What kind of monsters did you defeat?” (Noa)
“It is related to what you will see next, so I’ll tell you about it as we sightsee.” (Yuna)
We went out of town.
By the way, when I tried to go outside the town, I was almost stopped by the gatekeeper.
However, it seed that the gatekeeper knew from my previous visit and let through after just telling to be careful since I had children tagging along with .
“The gatekeeper also knew Yuna-san.” (Noa)
Maybe the gatekeeper saw our battle with the worms that appeared in the desert.
“Well, if soone saw my outfit, they won’t forget it normally. If I take off my bear outfit, no one will notice .” (Yuna)
No one would think I was the sa person who was dressed as a bear.
I would be ignored and not be noticed.
“That’s not true. I can tell.” (Noa)
“Yes, I can tell as well.” (Misa)
“I can tell, no matter what Yuna-oneechan was wearing.” (Fina)
“I can tell~” (Shuri)
The four of them denied my claim.
I felt a little elated when I heard that.
