The tallic cone arrow erging from the gun barrel spiraled at supersonic speed, but under Leon’s combat reflexes, everything around entered a bullet-ti-like perception.
Bending down, he slapped the car roof’s edge, flipped past the crisscrossing left and right trajectories, spinning his body techniques, and wielding a Griffin Slash overhead, the gun butt slamd down like a War Hamr, blasting the skull of the bloodline soldier in front.
Though he didn’t perform the Thunder Body and couldn’t be faster than a bullet, he didn’t need to be; he only needed to be faster than the enemy’s eyes and hand-raising speed.
As he landed from the flip, he stretched the gun muzzle beside the enemy with a cracked skull.
Bang bang!
The gun flas spewed forth, killing the soldier on the left who had just let down his gun, Leon stepped and turned, pulling the enemy’s corpse in front to serve as a shield.
The panicked barrage of dense bullets instantly poured onto the corpse’s bulletproof backplate, the sound of bullets driving into the plate and flesh crackling sharply.
Stretching out his hand again, without even exposing his head, he pulled the trigger, and two more shots shattered the display piece and skull of the enemy on the right.
Releasing the at shield, Leon looked forward as Olivia had also annihilated the enemies on the other side.
"Get in the car behind this one."
After burning through thirty-so vampire species pursuers blocking the road, stepping over the corpses, Leon found the military truck at the tail of the blockade convoy, got into the driver’s seat, and started the engine.
Though the control panel had so modifications, with many unfamiliar knobs, buttons, and levers, it wasn’t an issue. Leon thought briefly, and once Olivia climbed into the cabin, he activated the ard military vehicle, turning the steering rudder to charge onto the highway behind.
Speeding wildly, leaving the town far behind, Leon heard a heavy thump from the back.
Glancing at the rearview mirror, he saw Olivia tossing out the bloodline corpse halfway through an external hatch, clearing a spot for herself to ascend the gunner’s platform.
"There should be a button or control lever to rotate the ’machine gun’ on top, try it out," Leon called back.
Olivia, her upper body erging from the cabin, paused briefly at Leon’s words, fumbling for the lever, trying to turn it, indeed rotating the large ’crossbow’ fixed on the car roof behind the shield.
Slung the crossbow, referred to by Leon as a rifle, onto her back, Olivia grasped the grip of the rooftop’s large gun, test-firing a few rounds into the desolate wilderness on one side.
In the crisp sound of shots, the bullet chain chambered, the tracer arrows guiding the visible trajectory, sending clouds of dust from distant mounds flying.
Seeing the impact far exceeding rifle range, Olivia glanced with amazent at the "big iron crossbow" in her hand.
With just a simple pull of the trigger, it unleashed such fierce power—though not threatening to her, it’s extrely dangerous to ordinary knights.
The crux was, it didn’t require long training like the crossbow; even a frail child could kill rows of soldiers and warhorses with a re finger movent.
The girl couldn’t fathom how vulnerable people’s lives would beco if such a vicious weapon appeared on her holand’s battlefield...
Startled, she suddenly sensed a dangerous warning enveloping her, hearing faint sound waves sweeping across the sky, Olivia abruptly turned the machine gun towards the horizon.
... Four indistinguishable tiny black dots extending a chasing trajectory.
Not that fast, slower than iron crossbow bullets, but the danger far exceeded the various artillery she faced earlier.
What are those?
Instantly lowering the gun, she raised the muzzle, her erald eyes quickly calculating the intersection of the iron crossbow arrow’s reachable height and the incoming trajectory—
... Bang bang bang bang! Bang bang bang bang—!!
The machine gun spewed fire snakes continuously, the black and thick muzzle shook, scattering arcs of tracers flying into the sky until disappearing.
With the speed of machine gun bullets, it flew for several seconds before finally colliding with Olivia’s locked targets—
Boom boom boom boom!!!
The incoming objects seed to encounter so extrely accurate anti-air fire, exploding into four huge fireballs a kiloter away.
The explosion sound was clearly audible despite the distance.
Hearing Olivia’s shots and the explosions behind, Leon skimd the rearview mirror but saw no vehicles.
"Where’s the enemy?" he shouted.
"In the sky!" Olivia scanned watchfully for the enemies’ offensive, spotting four more giant arrows flying in, opening fire when they entered the machine gun’s range, shooting down those spooky things that triggered so kind of explosive spell.
It reminded her of the Athiasian’s magic-guided crossbow arrows, though threatening, but the pursuing giant arrows were much slower than bullets.
And that ti, glancing past the aerial fireball’s rear space, she finally saw what was attacking them.
"It’s that... helicopter!" Olivia yelled back.
Before her words finished, she saw the bizarre flying chanical rapidly closing in, its rattling sound growing audibly distant.
But the knight girl, pointing at the shadows in the dim sky, couldn’t pull the trigger.
The opponent deliberately stayed at a distance beyond the large iron crossbow’s firing range.
The next mont, she saw that helicopter-like thing’s belly defiantly spraying four sparks, powerful missiles trailing after them once again.
A few breath’s shooting windows posed no difficulty for Olivia, machine gun roaring, bullet walls intercepted the danger with an invincible precision.
However, this ti, the flying iron monster seed enraged, ceased firing explosive giant arrows, and rapidly closed directly.
The constantly watching rear Leon was suddenly shocked.
Witnessing Olivia’s powerful intercepting shooting ability, he didn’t worry about the ard helicopter’s subsonic missiles, but if the enemy still mounted a machine cannon, his seized military vehicle could neither evade nor withstand its caliber barrage, and rely the rooftop machine gun, no matter how accurate Olivia shot, couldn’t threaten the airborne weapon at all.
"Olivia, co back and help steady the rudder!" Leon imdiately decided.
The girl fully trusted his orders, quickly shrinking back into the cabin, turning to replace him, steadying the direction as the vehicle raced.
Leon pushed open the car door, leaned against the doorfra, looked afar towards the rear horizon, raising his middle finger.
——Garner!
Invisible thunder gathered above, wind eyes swirled the clouds, and lightning roared down in an instant.
The ard helicopter’s advancing horizon suddenly struck with thunder like divine punishnt, a thunder spear wrapped in power crashed over.
With a boisterous boom, the rotor instantly shattered under its own enormous spinning force, fragnts danced in the fierce winds as the massive body plumted like a kite with a broken string in a violent out-of-control spin.
