160: Chapter 95 Inca 160: Chapter 95 Inca Leon picked up the two Crystal Cards laid out on the table, examining them closely.
The complex Demon Runes, the semi-translucent Crystal Card faces rippling with Magic Ripples.
These two Netti Cards, created by Miss Lola, looked almost identical to the one made by Lady Aphrodite.
The only difference was, their fras surrounding the Crystal Card bodies weren’t made of glittering gold edges.
One was a plain black, the other a pretty silver-white.
“Can these cards summon Spiritual Bodies too?” Leon turned and asked.
Lola took the Silver Token Netti Card from Leon’s hand.
“This silver card can attempt to call forth so souls that once existed in the world, provided there is a sufficiently clear ritual base or offering.
The black card is just a prototype; it can replicate so simple Magic Techniques but is limited by its materials and can’t contain too much Magic Power,” Lola replied.
“So you’re saying, the Attack Magic like the ‘Isa’s Arrow’ you guided to release before could also be stored in this black card?” Leon looked at the black card in his hand and asked.
“To solidify the Magic Technique of Isa’s Arrow…
The capacity of the black card is probably insufficient; we’d have to use the silver card, but that would be sowhat wasteful.
However, no matter what, to activate the Netti Card, you still need to master how to use Magic Power first; otherwise, once you leave this ley line node, you won’t be able to recreate either the Spells or the responding summoned Spiritual Bodies,” Lola answered.
“Then how can I start learning Magic?” Leon asked.
He had been waiting for this day for a long ti, and though it was nice to give the cards to Kovis, he himself had long aspired to possess extraordinary powers.
“Do you now have enough ti to stay in the tower and receive my daily guidance?” Lola said, sowhat helplessly, “If you really want to study Magic with , wait until you have so free ti.
The introductory ‘Magic Technique Study’ alone includes six major subjects: spell, rituals, Dharma Seals, runes, ditation, and Sealing.
After you finish the introductory subjects, there are five major schools to follow: Elental Studies, Summoning Spirit, Life Science, alchemy, and Astronomy, along with over twenty specialized subjects’ basic theoretical knowledge, until you choose so directions to further specialize in.”
Leon felt overwheld.
He did not mind the difficulties of embarking on the path of Magic, but presently, he was too occupied and indeed unable to stay in the tower for long to undertake what sounded like an extended curriculum.
“It’s not possible to use the Netti Card without becoming a Mage, is it?” Leon said, sowhat disappointed.
Lola smiled, “That’s not necessarily the case.
To use the Netti Card quickly, there’s no need for such specialized studies, or else I wouldn’t have wasted ti creating these two cards.
For now, you only need to learn how to summon Magic Power as soon as possible; after all, the prototype of the Netti Card was an idea conceived by a great being who tried to allow everyone in the world to use Magic like a Mage.
Although it failed, the principle behind the artifact’s activation is very suitable for soone with no foundation like you.”
“To learn to summon Magic Power quickly?
But didn’t you say there was no shortcut?” Leon asked, puzzled.
“Indeed, there isn’t.
You wouldn’t normally be able to exercise the instinct to manipulate Magic Power on your own, and feeling Magic would take a long ti.
And even if you could manage to control the Magic Elent within yourself, you wouldn’t be able to do much, just strengthen yourself a bit.”
Leon grew confused, “…Strengthen myself?
What exactly do I need to do?”
Lola shook the silver card in her hand and continued, “Do you rember the feeling of nearly depleting your body’s Magic Elents when you released Isa’s Arrow?
By quickly repeating the process of exhausting your Life Magic Elent multiple tis in a short period, over ti, you will instinctively sense the pattern of the Magic Elents circulating within you.
With your excellent ntal coordination, trying to control this energy from the source of life isn’t difficult.
Of course, if you hadn’t t Kovis, this kind of perception training on your own would have taken several years, even with exceptional talent, which would be less efficient than studying with in the tower.”
“Kovis?
Ah, I understand.” Leon contemplated briefly, grasping why Miss Lola had ntioned the blond young man beside him.
Exhausting the Magic Elent within oneself and then quickly replenishing Magic Power, over and over again.
This kind of training, without Kovis as an external source of Magic Power to shorten the intervals of the cycle, would an that each ti one was exhausted, they’d have to wait for their self-healing power to slowly recover, not to ntion the danger to one’s body, the efficiency would obviously be dozens of tis slower.
In that case, this cumberso thod could hardly be called a shortcut but a pure waste of ti.
“But having Kovis assist in this exercise won’t affect his health, will it?” Leon expressed concern, not wanting to harm his friend for the sake of gaining power.
“As long as you don’t completely drain the kid’s Magic every ti.
Besides, properly helping you with this perception training is beneficial for his ntal coordination and Magic Perception, akin to high-intensity casting practice.”
Lola dispelled Leon’s unnecessary concerns.
Leon felt relieved and then sowhat excited; even if he couldn’t cast spells in the short term, using Magic, a power that transcended the ordinary, still made him impatient.
“If it can’t hold Isa’s Arrow, then what Spell can this black-frad card save?” Leon handed the Netti Card back to Miss Mage, continuing to inquire.
