[MUSIC RECOMNDATION: INSOMNIA ~ THE ROSE]
Finally, when lunch was over, Cortez dabbed his lips with the table towel and said, "Lady Hash, I heard most of your goods have been moved to Morado, have you checked them?" He asked.
Lady Hash twitched her lips, "News do spread like plague among rchants. It hasn’t been long I made those changes, but you have already heard it. Well, you’re Cortez for a reason." The woman paused, then she continued, "I will go check them today, after now."
"I would have loved to go with you, but I have sothings to learn from Cortez," Lord Hieron chid, giving Cortez a knowing look.
Lady Hash scoffed at the man’s shaless attitude, but at the sa ti, it was what made him special. And she smiled, "It’s okay; I can go with Larel." The woman called out.
Larel nodded, "Yes, I would love to get so air. We can all go out, so it can be a ladies’ ti out, yes?" She tried to persuade Kitanna to join them.
Kitanna nodded in agreent, "Sounds great to . I feel my legs are getting heavier; maybe I need to walk around. Let’s go."
Axilla clapped her hands happily, "Then you can tell what happened while I was away, and I would love for Kayla to co too; she’s very familiar with any market." The young girl added.
Quickly, carriages were prepared for the won to go to the market and also take a stroll. Axilla helped Lady Hash get into her carriage and made sure the woman was comfortable; then, she entered to sit opposite the woman. They were set to leave when soone knocked on the carriage window; it was Kayla.
"Queen Kitanna suddenly didn’t feel like going out, so Lady Larel decided to stay back and watch over her." Kayla announced to them.
Lady Hash nodded, "It can be like that; any slight discomfort should be looked into. She should get enough rest; I’ll get herbs for her when I return."
Kayla nodded, "I will co with the other carriage." The girl pointed out.
Lady Hash waved it off, "Rubbish, let’s not make this crowded. We can all use this one; co in." The woman said in a steady voice.
With the three of them in the carriage, they finally set out to Morado market. The ride was a quiet but peaceful one; getting to the market, Axilla helped Lady Hash get down from the carriage while leading her in the direction the woman pointed out.
"Did you ever visit the market during your stay with Cortez?" Lady Hash asked as they walked towards her own store.
Axilla nodded, "Yes, I did; it was an amazing place to be. I even visited the Kaima-riya port." She responded happily.
"You did? That’s great." The woman replied as they got to her own store.
"Lady Hash, you have acquired a lot!" Kayla said out loudly as she looked at the big store that was filled with varieties of goods. One part was for silk and clothes, another was for food items like ginger, garlic, ginseng, then a different section was reserved for jewelry and pearls. It was a great sight to behold.
Lady Hash nodded her head, "I must have; it’s a sha I can’t see them." The woman humd.
As they were busy checking the goods in the store, so persons arrived at the shop to buy sothing.
"Good afternoon; do you have bellroot?" A voice asked, and it was Axilla who turned to attend to the person, but she stopped in her tracks.
"You?" Standing in front of her was the man she had t back at Avon. The strange man who was talking about flowers, now he was also in Morado. Axilla gulped; was this man following her? She held Lady Hash tightly.
Lady Hash noticed the change of energy coming from Axilla, and she asked, "Axilla dear, anything the matter?" She asked, turning to hold the girl’s hand.
"Is nothing; just soone who wants to buy sothing." Axilla replied, then she looked at the man. "What do you want, sir?"
Venantius, who had been staring at Lady Hash, moved his eyes away from her and settled it on Axilla, and with a grin, he asked, "Dear one, do you believe in fate?" He asked.
Axilla gripped her hands on her gown tightly, "I don’t think we have what you are looking to buy, sir." Saying this, she pulled Lady Hash inside.
Venantius smiled at the girl’s action, "Till next ti, dear one."
His aide, who was also standing behind him, said, "That woman... is that not?"
Venantius nodded, "It seems like she’s blind now, but would she forget my voice? I would love to find out; you said Deonisia gave you a ssage; what does it say?" The man asked.
His aide, Dominique, pulled out a parchnt and handed it to the king, who read it with his eyes narrowed.
"I thought that woman and her child were killed! Keep an eye on that girl and the woman; arrange a eting; I need to see Deonisia." Saying this, Venantius walked away from there.
Currently, Axilla held Lady Hash tightly; her hands were trembling. What Axilla didn’t notice in the midst of this was that Lady Hash was also trembling.
"Who was that?" The woman asked.
Axilla gulped, "I don’t know; I t him back at Avon and now again. I just don’t like him," she replied.
Lady Hash inhaled deeply, "Can you describe this man for ?" She asked.
Axilla started, "He is very tall and has a strange hairstyle like cornrows. He looks very different; I can’t tell where he is from, and he has this very tall big man that is always beside him." The girl narrated just the way she rembered.
Lady Hash felt her head sway that she almost fell on her feet. "We should head back to the palace; I don’t think I feel very good."
Axilla quickly helped Lady Hash back inside the carriage, then she rushed back to call Kayla, who was enjoying her stay in the market.
Alone inside the carriage, Lady Hash tried to hit her hands several tis to stop them from trembling. "It wouldn’t be; it wasn’t him. He doesn’t rember .... anyone can have that voice," the woman muttered to herself as fear gripped her whole being.
When they got to the palace, Lady Hash retired to her room, saying she was feeling under the weather and needed so ti to cool off. Even when Heiron had asked to see her and look after her. The woman had declined it, saying she wanted to be alone.
