Chapter 36 - Nothing is more precious than my wife
Today they were to register their marriage.
"Li Luxian, what is it?", Chen Feng was finally getting accustod to calling him by his na. But it still felt odd to her ears because in the back of her mind she was aware of the power and status of the man she was addressed with.
Li Luxian grabbed her hands. The warmth of his hands on hers felt soothing and like always, sent her heart into a hyperactive state almost imdiately. After having a fair number of intimate interactions with Li Luxian, Feng Chen had learned to keep a calm deanor in his proximity. But inwardly, she was always fretting in his presence.
Li Luxian never kept his hands to himself whenever they were together. In the na of convincing his father of their relationship, he acted like a complete love-struck puppy. Chen Feng could only acquiesce to his advances. After all, she had signed the contract.
She felt a cold thing sliding in her finger. Chen Feng eyes caught a sparkling shine. She raised her hand to look at it and found a ring with countless small, l.u.s.trous, translucent light pink diamonds attached to it. Her eyes widened in awe.
"Li Luxian is it...", she couldn’t help her amazent and blurted instantly.
She recognized that ring. It was that legendary diamond ring that was worth more than 100 million RMBs and the dream of countless girls. A set of such rings was bought by a famous tycoon as a trophy to grace his mall that also happened to be one of the most expensive malls in the country. Whole dia had gone into a frenzy when the rings were brought in country.
Countless affluent families had wanted to get their hands on those rings. But not even the wealthiest person could strike a deal with that tycoon to buy any single one of it. Because those rings were simply very highly prized. So they could only drool over them from afar.
Her widened eyes silently asked the question as she stared at Li Luxian-Was it really the sa ring?
Li Luxian complacent expressions answered her question.
"I must provide the best wedding ring for my wife"
Seriously?
A slight hesitancy grew in her heart.
"II can’t accept it. I’m afraid I will lose it..."
"So what?"
Chen Feng looked at Li Luxian. Then she rembered that the guy was the heir of Li conglorates. Under him worked for countless large renown firms and companies. His family had their hold in every branch of business. So a sum of that much was like a dinner for him.
Even though that amount of money was nothing for Li Luxian, it still didn’t change the fact that Chen Feng had never seen anything such expensive in her entire life let alone possess it.
"It is very precious and I..."
"Nothing is more precious than my wife", Li Luxian didn’t leave a chance to flirt with her and said in his typical mischievous tone that was only reserved for Chen Feng. Because he was never addressed to others with such clency.
Zhang Xin felt a faint ache in his heart. Why boss? Why?
The discrimination!
Chen Feng quietened, a little bashful. Li Luxian always had to be so flirty.
"But still..."
"No buts wife.", Li Luxian pulled her to him and grabbed her chin slowly grazing his thumb over her cheek.
Like always, he was acting intimately.
But she couldn’t understand why?
Why was he showering her with so many valuables?
Was he really because he liked her? Chen Feng’s heart fluttered and she quickly shrugged off the idea before getting her hopes high.
That was absurd. They had only known each other for a week. And that man was in no lack of beauties. How could he possibly like her? He must have been doing it all to convince his father.
"Mr. Li. I’ve registered for the marriage hall. The whole area is emptied by our n so we won’t find dia troubling us", Zhang Xin said in a gruff tone.
Chen Feng didn’t know why but since the morning, Zhang Xin sounded a bit resentful. She could even feel him glancing at her from ti to ti; sothing like envoy and resentnt in his eyes?. She couldn’t guess what was wrong with him. What did she do to offend him? She never ever talked to him unless necessary.
"Let’s go"
Getting done with marriage, they headed out. Chen Feng had a red certificate in her hands.
"Now that we are married. Can I call you wife all the ti?", Li Luxian said getting in the car in the back seat with his wife.
"You already call wife all the ti"
"But I could see that poker face every ti I called you wife"
Chen Feng though, this guy...
He was so perceptive.
"Wait where are we going?", Chen Feng asked, confused when the car turned to a path opposite to her residence.
"To my parent’s residence", Li Luxian replied calmly.
"Your parent’s residence?"
"Yes"
"Wait! Your parents’ residence?!?!?"
She stared at him wide-eyed. She had just married their son behind their back so she was sure they would not welco her with open arms!
"So people need to know that I got a wife", Li Luxian said as his eyes glinted darkly and his lips curled up into a cold smirk.
Tonight, at the dinner at his parents, there was going to be a lot of drama.
