Chapter 322 Remind You About It
Kimmy's pampering totally consud Cain's rational thinking that he even considered extending his selective amnesia acting.
'Will it be okay if I extend this act for a week?' he thought while he stared at Kimmy, who was talking with his doctor.
He wanted to observe Kimmy more and he was dying of curiosity about how Kimmy would handle this kind of situation once they left the hospital. Plus, it bothered him that Kimmy still did not wear the ring, although she said she was his fiance and the woman he was about to marry.
'If she seed sure that she was the woman I want to marry, then why isn't she wearing that ring? Ah, this is frustrating… I feel like she's just saying it out of pity, perhaps? This is killing !' Cain anxiously thought
The ring… He said he would be patient and wait for Kimmy once she was ready but what if that day never ca? What if she ended up running again?
Cain let out a loud exhale, his insecurities were eating him alive again like now and he knew he shouldn't be like this. However, he was just a man who had his weaknesses too. He was not perfect.
His doctor looked at him and said, "You can finally go ho now, Dr. Lewis. You have a very good guardian who asked every detail on taking good care of you. Such a lucky man, I must say… Don't worry. I already endorse everything to Her Highness on how she could take good care of you and help you regain your mory back. I hope you can finally rember her soon," his doctor aningfully comnted.
Cain gave him an awkward smile with a signal to leave them alone as he said, "thank you so much Doc, for your help.
"Ah, we can finally go back ho. Are you excited?" Kimmy asked as soon as his doctor left the room. She personally wanted to take care of Cain from his dicines, follow-up check-ups and more.
Cain nodded with a half-smile. Yes, he was excited, of course, but nervous too at the sa ti.
"Are we living together?" he asked with a bit of a hesitating tone.
"Hmm, I have a room in all your hos. Right now, you will stay at Lewis Mansion instead of the penthouse since we have mories there. My room is next to yours and we share the sa balcony. It's been a while since I stayed there so right now, I will stay there more so we can be together and spend ti with each other," Kimmy said with a sweet smile.
Cain only nodded and soon, they left the hospital to go to Lewis mansion. Kimmy held his hand tightly and never let it go since they left the hospital. Cain was blissful because it was Kimmy who initiated sweet gestures like this since he was hospitalized and it was the very reason he did not want to get discharged at all.
'I'm so childish…' Cain mused inside the car. They soon arrived at Lewis Mansion. Kimmy orchestrated a welco party for him with his few close friends. The King and Queen were also present.
"Ah, welco back, Doc," Gavin said as he hugged him. Brione also welcod him back, "Ah, we're so worried but we are glad that you're all fine now."
"Yeah, thank you so much…" Cain said with an awkward smile.
"But isn't it weird that you can rember all of us except for Kimmy?" Will nonchalantly burst and Cain just wanted to strangle the dense man right at that mont.
"I know right? It's so frustrating. It's called selective amnesia. Maybe it's because I'm the last person in his mind when he got into an accident…" Kimmy interrupted with a pout.
Leila called out everyone for lunch since she prepared a festive al for Cain's coming back ho so everyone gathered in the dining area of Lewis Mansion.
"Eat more dishes in peanuts. I heard nuts are really good for the brain. Here," Kimmy said as she raised the spoon to feed Cain, not minding everyone before them.
"It's alright, I can eat on my own," Cain bashfully whispered, noticing how eyes were on her.
"Don't be like that and accept that, Cain. Ah, if you have your mory intact right now and then I'm sure you are rejoicing now with Kimmy doing this to you," Will scoffed with a teasing grin.
Cain's face reddened and he ended up accepting Kimmy's feeding in front of everyone.
On the other hand, Leila sneaked glances at her brother Lucas who was obviously still mad at her for keeping him in the dark about what was happening to her marriage life all those years. He was quiet and would only talk to Daniel and the rest once in a while and she could feel how he was avoiding even having eye contact with her.
Leila let out a sigh and she felt Brione's hand on hers, squeezing it gently.
"Smile, Aunty. It's a good day," Brione whispered. She understood what was going on. She and Gavin were honestly doing ways to bring back the good relationship between her father-in-law and Leila. Father Lucas was still blaming himself until now on Leila's failed marriage.
Leila smiled and said, "ah, I just hope he talks to soon. This is so frustrating…" Leila breathed.
"He will… He loves you so much, Aunty so Father won't definitely last a week avoiding you… For now, please enjoy this. It looks like you will soon have a son-in-law," Brione teased, making Leila chuckle as she excitedly answered, "Right, I can't wait for them to get married. I'm sure after we finish this royal grand wedding ceremony of yours, I will be busy again for another royal wedding of my daughter next."
The guests soon left after lunch so Cain could finally rest. Kimmy helped him settle down in his room.
"Do you mind it if we share the sa room?" Kimmy suddenly asked.
Cain gulped and whispered, "yes."
He was playing hard to get but he was sure he would give in soon. He was trying reverse psychology, where Kimmy had to invest a lot in winning him over. That way, she would treasure him more, right? It would also help her overco her fear of marriage… enough love from her where she could overco her fear of marriage and be with him for the rest of their lives.
The fear of Kimmy running away kept bothering him even though he tried his best not to think about it.
Kimmy had a pout as she stared at him in disbelief.
"I'm sorry, I know we already kissed but that doesn't an that I'm already comfortable in staying with you like sharing the sa bed. You see, I think I'm the conservative type…" Cain uttered without looking at Kimmy.
"Where is that coming from when you already took my virginity?! Hey, we already made love and not only once! So what's the big deal in sharing the sa room and sleeping in one bed…"
"We did it already?!" Cain burst in wide eyes, acting totally baffled

Kimmy crumpled her face as she scoffed, "Yeah, I guess I have to remind you about it…"
