At Lewis Mansion
anwhile, Kimmy decided to stay with uncle Daniel and eat dinner with him. She imdiately called Cain to inform the latter to go straight to Lewis' mansion instead but he was unreachable so she just left him a ssage to call her imdiately whenever he could
"Missing already, my princess? I'm on my way to the palace now," Cain answered at another line with a grin. Ah, he felt so happy, just talking to Kimmy like that, knowing that she was waiting for his arrival.
"Oh no, I'm sorry I should have ssaged you already that I decided to stay here and eat dinner with uncle Lucas. It's a last-minute decision. I tried to call you but your mobile phone was unreachable."
"Yeah, I forgot to charge it," Cain explained.
"Hmm, I'll go straight ho now instead. I miss you," Cain added, making Kimmy blush on her seat.
She looked at uncle Daniel and the latter had a teasing smile.
"Hmm, okay. See you soon. Bye," Kimmy timidly said before ending the call that instant. She felt shy in saying sothing sweet to Cain in front of uncle Daniel.
"I'm really glad about the good news that you and Cain are finally in a relationship. How about we have so tea on the veranda dear while waiting for him?" Daniel suggested since he and Kimmy had just finished eating their dinner. Kimmy agreed and she stood up to pull uncle Daniel's wheelchair. Then, she instructed one of the servants to bring tea to the veranda.
Kimmy also asked for a blanket and she put it on uncle Daniel as she sat beside him.
"Ah, I still rember it… The look on my son's eyes the first ti he saw you," Lucas said while he stared at the fire pit being lit up by their servant.
"The first ti he saw ?" Kimmy asked.
"Yeah, it's that ti, during your college days, I think, when you and your mother visited . That day you cried and walked out of my clinic when you and your mother did not agree on sothing. Leila was about to follow you but I told her to stay and I followed you instead…" Daniel said.
Kimmy was keenly listening to him. She recalled that day because, after that incident, she felt so embarrassed that she acted like that in front of uncle Daniel. But she was too curious now to know how Cain first t her when she did not rember eting him that day.
"You ran to the hospital lobby and you accidentally bumped into him. I'm not sure if you can actually rember him since you're crying hard and your eyes were clouded with tears. I thought Cain would just ignore you and continue walking in his direction, but he stopped and followed you slowly. You sat on the bench at the hospital garden and I approached Cain that ti since I had a hunch that he's interested in you for watching from a distance."
"I tested him by saying to co with since I will have to introduce him to so people but he told to go first and he will follow… I left but well. I didn't leave but continued peeking at the balcony since I'm curious about what he would do."
Kimmy covered her mouth with his hands as she gasped and whispered, "he's the one who handed that handkerchief?"
Daniel chuckled then nodded.
"Oh my God! I recalled that scene but I honestly did not see his face! He's Cain!" Kimmy burst in disbelief. She could not believe that she had t Cain like that by the incident and she did not even know that it was him.
"So that day, I saw how Cain's eyes brightened so I concluded that my son got smitten by our princess Kimberly. I guess you're Cain's, first love. That's why he easily agreed on the marriage agreent with you when Leila offered it," Daniel said with a grin. He knew he was building his son up too much, but he only stated how he interpreted his son's actions before.
"Cain's handkerchief is still with uncle…" Kimmy inford him with a smile. She had mixed emotions at that mont, but it was more clouded by intense happiness knowing that she bumped into Cain at so point in her life like that.
"Uncle…" Kimmy bashfully whispered.
"Yes, Kimmy?" Daniel asked.
"Can I ask for a favor?" Kimmy asked.
"Sure, dear. What is it?"
"Can you keep it from Cain for now? I an that I already know it's him?" Kimmy whispered.
Daniel smiled and said, "Sure. No worries."
"Thank you, Uncle," Kimmy said with her timid smile.
Daniel did not know why Kimmy wanted to keep it but what mattered to him was Kimmy finally knew how dedicated his son was to her before that she did not even know. Ah, he wanted to tell more but he did not want to look like he was selling his son too much to her.
Daniel unconsciously chuckled to his own silly thoughts and Kimmy heard it so she asked, "Uncle?"
"Oh, I just recall another incident but I am not sure if I'm allowed to say it. Cain might get mad at if I mumble too much information about him," Daniel comnted.
"Ah, please, uncle, tell more. I wanna know more things I've missed about Cain. Promise I will not tell him that you told those," Kimmy encouraged. She was so curious to know more. It honestly lted her heart and the fluttering effect was overwhelming.
Daniel chuckled and said, "alright then… since you asked for it, I will tell you everything I know about our Cain and how I found out that he loved you already way before you ever knew…"
Daniel was now finally set to reveal his son's movents that he discovered before, Cain's actions that showed how he was head over heels to Kimberly Hansen.
anwhile, Cain scratched his ear while driving since it was tingling and burning so he whispered, "is soone talking about ?"
