Brione slowly opened her eyes and saw Gavin at her side. He was holding her hand while gently kissing her knuckles. She assud she passed out after the procession, seeing she was lying on their bed.
The last thing she rembered was that Gavin and she just entered the palace hall to join the other guests in the wedding reception.
They were supposed to have a lively party right now, celebrating their marriage. But here they were, stuck in her room for whatever reason she hadn't known yet.
"Sweetheart, how do you feel?" Gavin asked her worried upon seeing she had finally woken up.
"You see, you should be kissing on my lips instead of my hand," Brione sheepishly whispered. She was trying to lighten the mood by teasing Gavin. She wanted to wash away the worry on his face.
"What's wrong? Do I lack nutrients or sleep?" Brione whispered, waiting for Gavin to answer.
This ti, Gavin flashed his glowing smile and gently caressed her cheek.
"What? Am I sick?" Brione asked, starting to get worried since it took longer to say a word. She creased her forehead because Gavin was just smiling and staring only at her lovingly. So she felt confused.
"I love you, sweetheart. Today, you make the happiest man on earth. Thank you so much," Gavin whispered as he leaned down to kiss her lips. Brione gently pushed him and asked, "what's going on?"
They have married already in country D, so technically, they were legally husband and wife, so why was Gavin exaggerating today when the wedding ceremony was just a formality for the people of country B?
Gavin chuckled and finally said, "We are having a baby, sweetheart! I am going to be a father, and you're going to be a mother!"
Brione's eyes widened as she whispered, "oh my God!" She also pinched herself to ensure she was not dreaming, and Gavin scolded her for doing that.
"Sorry…" Brione uttered with an awkward grin while Gavin checked the markings of the pinch on her arm. She was too busy the past few days that she forgot to set the alarm for her next period and monitor it simultaneously.
A beautiful smile carved on her face as she said, "ah, this is a dream co true. We are having a baby! Oh gosh, I can't wait to tell Luo and Noah about this. Luo and I are pregnant in the sa year. Oh gosh!"
Gavin shook his head, seeing the excitent on his wife's face. She imdiately asked for her mobile phone, but Gavin said, "no, you need to rest more, sweetheart. Don't worry. We will tell them about it later… together. For now, rest more since the doctor said that you lack sleep. I will also handle your schedules from now on. I will limit your work as a Queen, and that's an order."
Brione could only chuckle with Gavin showing his strictness now that she was pregnant.
"How about father? He knows already?" Brione whispered.
"Yeah, and he is so happy and grateful, darling. He's outside giving instructions to all your servants. He wanted helpers around you with dical backgrounds to be your private helpers," Gavin inford.
"But I don't need that. I can perfectly take good care of our baby," Brione comnted.
Gavin laughed and said, "then you try to argue with your father-in-law."
Brione's eyes blinked as she murmured, "no way. Let father do what he wants, sweetheart. I'm sure it will be tolerable."
She could already picture how exaggerated both Gavin and her father-in-law would be in taking care of her. Brione yawned and asked, "ah, we are being televised live when I passed out. What about the people, our guests in the wedding reception?"
"Sweetheart, this is not the ti to worry about other people. Aunt Leila is handling it. Co on, go and sleep. You're yawning," Gavin said.
Brione chuckled and scoffed, "what ti is it? I am hungry too. I think it's lunch already. Let's eat first."
"Alright, let's eat first, then rest later."
She sat on the bed, and Gavin helped her to stand up. The royal servants politely greeted the King and Queen and opened the door of the dining hall for them.
The royal servants were so glad that their Queen was just fine. Everyone panicked when they saw her collapse upon entering the palace hall.
Gavin asked the Chef to serve Brione's favorite food. Her wife was hungry and she was not alone. Gavin was thinking that their baby inside her womb was also hungry.
Several minutes later, Brione's eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the different dishes on the table. So many dishes were served as if they were having a feast.
"Darling, don't tell you want to eat and finish all of these?" Brione pursed her lips, arching her eyebrow at Gavin.
Gavin just let out a soft chuckle while scratching his face. "Sorry, sweetheart. I didn't an to. I just thought that our baby is also hungry so you need to eat more."
Brione didn't know whether to cry or laugh. As expected, her husband would react like this starting today. 'I think I will be pampered by my King ten tis more than before.'
Brione began digging in while Gavin was there, watching over her. He even started feeding her, making sure that Brione would have her fill.
They just finished eating and went back to their room when Gavin's father ca to see Brione together with Luo and Noah. Her brother and sister-in-law were so worried about her.
Luo imdiately hugged Brione, "Brione, are you okay? You made us worried. Please don't get sick. Your brother and I will have a heart attack if sothing bad happens to you." Luo said spontaneously, expressing her deep concern for Brione.
Noah and Luo still had no idea that she's pregnant. King Lucas, Gavin, and Brione exchanged glances with one another, all had smiles on their faces.
"Sis, Bro, don't worry about . I'm not sick. It's just that… I'm pregnant!"
"Gavin and I are having a baby!!" Brione shared the good news with them.
"Oh my gosh! Is that true?"
Luo and Noah were quite surprised to hear this good news.
Brione, Gavin, and Forr King Lucas bobbed their heads to confirm it. Noah and Luo rejoiced, congratulating the couple. They had more reasons to celebrate today- the royal wedding and Brione's pregnancy.
While Brione, Gavin, and their family were celebrating, the whole country B was still waiting for an update regarding their Queen's condition.
The royal family didn't give an official statent yet for what happened to Brione. The citizens were praying for her, hoping that she was just in good health.
The country was in an uproar when they saw in the live broadcast that Queen Brione passed out after the royal procession. Others thought that it was unfortunate that the Queen got sick during her wedding day. They were supposed to celebrate the joyous occasion.
At around 5:00 pm, the Palace initiated a press conference to answer the public about Brione's condition. They would make a big announcent.
The citizens of country B were now focused on their television to watch the press conference.
Royal Highness Leila attended the press con. She was also the one making the announcent as Gavin and King Lucas were busy taking care of Brione. They didn't want to leave her alone.
"Good afternoon everyone. On behalf of the Wilhelm Royal Family, I'm Princess Leila standing before you to give you an update about our Queen's condition along with a big announcent."
Royal Highness Leila paused for a mont. Everyone couldn't help but anticipate her next words.
"I am here to tell you that... our dear citizens of Country B… you don't have to worry about our Queen. She is safe and healthy…"
"The reason she passed out is because… our beloved Queen is pregnant! So our dear citizens, instead of being wary, let's all rejoice for this good news. We will be having another mber of the Royal Family… I am so happy? to share this joy with all of you."
The citizens of the Country who were in panic a while ago finally felt relieved. They were glad to hear this piece of good news. This was a double celebration to the royal family and the citizens of Country B.
Gavin and Brione were also watching the press conference inside their room. Gavin was hugging Brione while their backs rested at the headboard of the bed.
"Congratulations to both of us, my Queen. All our efforts paid off. We have our baby now! The living proof of our profound love," Gavin cooed in her ear while rubbing Brione's tummy. He began planting kisses on her head.
Brione giggled, the overwhelming happiness could be seen in her eyes.
"Yes, my dearest King. I fulfilled my duty as your Queen. I am now bearing your child. Hmm, I wish to have twins, one prince and one princess!"
Gavin chuckled and embraced her tightly. "Don't worry, Sweetheart. If we fail to have twins, we can always try again another ti, until we succeed!"
