anwhile, Kimmy finally opened her eyes and quickly composed herself on the couch where she fell asleep.
"Gosh, what ti is it…" she whispered as she looked at her wristwatch and her eyes widened when she saw the ti. She imdiately got up and walked to the door. She opened it and rushed out when she bumped into a hard chest.
"Ouch!! I'm sorry!"
She looked up and gulped, eting the icy stare of Cain that penetrated her insides.
*Thump *thump *thump
Kimmy's eyes widened hearing the loud beating of her own heart.
'Was it really my heart?!' she silently complained as she quickly stepped back, bowed down, and apologized, "Ah, sorry. I fell asleep."
"It's okay. You're probably tired. How are you feeling? The bump was a bit..." he asked, moving closer. Kimmy held her breath when his hand touched her chin, tilting her head up to et his eyes.
'Oh my!' Kimmy started panicking. She could feel Cain's warm hand on her skin and that simple touch was making her body lt.
'lt? OMG since when did I beco like this?' she scolded herself in panic.
She took another step backward as she replied, "I'm fine. Are we going now? How about Uncle? How is he?"
She asked in a row. Cain stepped closer, enjoying how Kimm was getting affected because of his closeness. He made up his mind in making Kimmy fall for him and was acting on his plans now.
He stepped closer whenever she would step back, making sure there was only about a three-inch gap between them.
"King Lucas is fine and stable. My team will handle things for now and call if sothing goes wrong. We can leave the palace if you want," Cain said, not moving his gaze from Kimmy.
What he was doing was actually torturing himself as well. His closeness to her was like sweet torture but he knew he must be patient if he wanted to achieve his goal. He could see it in her eyes… how confused she was.
"Alright. Let's leave. Can you please move and not block the way?!," Kimmy tried her best not to stutter. But what happened next left her speechless.
Cain gave her his sweetest smile and moved while extending his hand as he said, "Sure after you milady."
'What the heck is wrong with this man?!' she questioned suspiciously as she quickly walked ahead of him towards the door. He was acting weirdly nice. No, there was sothing more but Kimmy no longer racked her brains about it and shook away the unnecessary thought in her head.
As they walked towards the car, Kimmy was surprised when Cain asked, "Give the car keys."
"Huh? Why?" Kimmy asked.
"I will drive…" Cain answered. She reluctantly gave him the car keys and was surprised again when Cain opened the car door for her. She did not comnt but just sat on the seat but another blow ca when Cain leaned closer.
"What are you doing?" Kimmy gasped, thinking Cain was going to kiss her. He smirked at her question as he said, "Putting on your seatbelt."
Kimmy froze as Cain's face almost touched her lips when he pulled the seatbelt and secured it on her. Even his side-profile looked dashing. He looked so hot that she unconsciously bit her lower lip as she stared at him.
"There…" Cain said and raised his head to look at her. Kimmy quickly averted her gaze but still bit her lower lip, making Cain mutter a curse under his breath.
How he wanted to smash his lips on hers and bite it just like she was!
He controlled the desire and closed the door before walking to the driver's side.
"What do you want to do? It's still too early to return ho. How about we watch a movie?" Cain suggested while he drove the car out of Derhan Palace.
"Movie? Don't you need to go back to the hospital?" Kimmy answered, trying to calm her heart that got excited when Cain asked her out for a movie.
'Is he asking on a date? OMG! Is it because of the kiss before and suddenly blurting that we were not dating yet?!'
She suddenly did not know what to do! Cain wanted her to serve him for three months and she was considering it as his punishnt for her but now he was asking her for a movie.
"I honestly want to unwind and my kind of unwinding does not involve going to a club and party all night. I an I prefer watching movies and relaxing. Watching cody or romance movies helps relax…" Cain comnted, so Kimmy would not feel awkward.
"You watch romance?" Kimmy asked instead of answering. She was a bit surprised to hear romance since most n preferred action and suspense or codies in movies.
"Yeah, I do. How about you Kimberly? What genre do you prefer to watch?" Cain curiously asked.
"Horror…" Kimmy answered.
"I see. I watch horror movies too. If you don't want to accompany watching a movie then it's okay. I can drop you off at ho first and I watch with my friends," Cain suggested in hopes that Kimmy would not decline his offer to watch a movie.
'Should I go or not?'
There was a debate between her head and heart.
"Should I drop you off first, Kimberly?"
"No, I will go with you. I an, it's not good to watch movies alone. You look like a loner who does not have many friends… Besides, it's been a while since I last watched a movie so I will go…" Kimmy mumbled, wondering if she made the right choice or not.
A satisfied smile crept on Cain's face. He was honestly very anxious about Kimmy's response and so far it was good and advantageous for him.
"Yeah, thank you for not making a lonely man Kimberly."
Kimmy gulped.. She wanted to ask Cain if this movie thing was a date but she did not know why she was feeling shy and reserved. It was so unlike her!
