At Derhan Palace
As expected, Gavin beca very busy from the mont he arrived at the Palace. He had to make sure that everything was properly arranged especially for tomorrow's press conference and the coronation.
Brione on the other hand made sure that her father-in-law was well taken care of and accompanied him whenever he was awake. As Lucas?was resting right now, she called Gavin.
"Where are you darling? Father is resting now so I thought of disturbing you instead. Or should I just go to your wing and keep myself busy if you prefer doing what you're doing without ?" Brione asked with a smile. She was aware of how busy her husband was now. She wanted to make sure that she was not disturbing him.
"I'm here in one of the private rooms discussing things with Zach and his team sweetheart. And what are you talking about disturbing ? You do know that you can stick to no matter where I go except to dangerous places of course. Where are you now? I will ask Will to co and get you," Gavin said.
"Alright, I will wait for WIll in the inner courtyard," Brione replied and cut the call. She walked to the inner courtyard and sat on one of the benches. She looked up and smiled as the soft sunlight hit her face.
Tomorrow, she would be formally introduced to the world as Gavin's wife and the excitent of everyone knowing that they were married filled her heart. Who would have thought that she would beco the Queen of a country soday? But it did not matter to her as long as she could stay beside Gavin. She would do everything to make sure that she could help Gavin in her own way.
"Miss Brione…" Will greeted?her when he saw her.
Brione turned and mumbled with a pout, "I told you to just call Brione. Just like you do with Gavin, don't address formally when it's not necessary."
Will scratched his head and said, "Alright, Brione."
"That's better. You are Gavin's close friend and I hope you treat like a friend or family especially since you were like a brother to Cedric," Brione added as she stood up from her seat.
"I will do that. It's an honor to be considered as family by you. Gavin is a good man and soone you can get along with quite easily like Cedric. Though Cedric is more of the aloof type, unlike Gavin who is more approachable," Will comnted with s smile.
"Yeah, Gavin is very approachable indeed since he is used to having people around him. Let's go," Brione whispered.
Will led the way to the secret room where Gavin was. There were around twenty five people inside the room including Gavin and Zach. Gavin had already told her that Zach was bringing his best and most skilled n who were part of the Elite team for this mission.
When Brione entered the room Zach's n were utterly surprised and taken aback seeing the superstar before them. Gavin possessively encircled his arm around Brione's waist and pulled her to his side.
They were already aware that Gavin Wu and Brione were in a relationship but none of them were actually expecting to et her here. So were obviously huge fans of her, especially Cobra who whispered to Zach, "Can we ask to take a selfie with Miss Brione?"
"Try it later…" Zach plainly replied.
Gavin had a wide smile on his face as he introduced, "Everyone, this is my wife Brione. She will be joining the eting whenever she likes. I hope this is okay with you guys?"
"Wife?" one of the soldiers whispered feeling confused as the last news they heard was of them getting engaged recently.
"Yeah, we got married secretly. But we will hold a wedding ceremony once everything is over. Hopefully with you guys' help we might successfully take down Duncan sooner than expected," Gavin smiled with a wide grin, enlightening the n in the room.
Zach introduced his n to Brione who stretched her hand and was about to shake their hands but Gavin pulled her to sit beside him and asked Zach to continue discussing the plans they had co up with. Brione observed how quickly the n let go of their fun personality and beca serious when discussing the mission and the pros and cons of every plan suggested.
Gavin was also seriously listening and would interrupt Zach if he was a bit unsure or thought that the plan might affect other people.
"We have to make sure that no civilians get hurt in this mission. I also want to make sure that they won't be able to hurt any mber of the Pri Minister's Family," Gavin comnted.
Brione was silently agreeing with her husband. Just recalling the devastated look of Olivia when they saw her made her feel glum. She really felt bad because she could feel Olivia's love for her big brother by the hatred in her words which was piercing Gavin and Will's heart.
No innocents should suffer from now on. Hopefully, Zach and his team would succeed in this. The eting went on for a long ti before Gavin finally dismissed them. But instead of leaving, one of the generals nad Torin asked, "Can we get a selfie with you and Miss Brione?"
"Oh, sure no problem…" Gavin comnted. Brione shook her head when Gavin placed himself in the middle separating her from the soldier who was clicking the photo.
When they were walking outside the secret room, she could not help but tease her husband, "Why are you so possessive? It was obvious that they wanted to take a photo with but you always forced yourself in the middle…"
Gavin chuckled and kissed her knuckles.
"You noticed? Well, I couldn't help it. I don't want any man near my wife so…"
Brione's eyes widened as she scoffed, "So you're saying no more romance project for ?"
She had a slight clue that that was what he wanted because all the offers for the movies and dramas were only action, suspense, thriller, and drama. There were so love lines but it had no intimacy, even mild ones like hugging or holding hands weren't there.
"I'm the owner of the company and your boss so I decided that you should have no intimate scenes in your work my sweetheart. Not even holding hands and hugging. Ah, I just want to be the only one who can touch my wife! Hmm, do you want to object to it sweetheart?" Gavin whined with a pout, trying to look adorable.
"Can you at least agree on hugging and holding hands?" Brione pointed out.
"Hmm, I will think about it. You should convince later and we will see what happens," Gavin said with his mischievous grin.
Brione rolled her eyes, understanding what her husband was saying. She hugged his arm and intentionally let it rub against her breast as she mumbled, "How about I convince you now?"
"But Cain is waiting for … I have an appointnt with him tonight. Do you want to co with or go first to our bedroom and rest? I'm sure it won't take long for ."
With a pout, Brione mumbled, "Let go with you and see how it goes."
She hoped Gavin could quickly rember the event Uncle Damiel wanted to erase permanently from his mory.
