At Lewis's Residence.
It was already 6:00 pm when Kimmy and Cain arrived ho. Daniel was a little bit surprised seeing the several paper bags that Cain and Kimmy were holding.
'Did the two go shopping today?' He pondered to himself.
Both Cain and Kimmy stopped after noticing Daniel's presence in the living room.
"Uncle Daniel!" Kimmy walked over to approach Cain's father. She bent down to give him a kiss on his cheek.
"How's… your day? What are… those things? Did you... both go shopping?" Daniel asked Kimmy and Cain, pointing his finger to the paper bags. He was still struggling in his speech but Kimmy and Cain understood what he was saying.
"Yes, Dad. I bought so clothes for Kimmy to wear." Cain was the one who answered his father. Then he glanced at Kimmy aningfully.
Kimmy's face contorted as she recalled how much hassle she had today just to buy those pajamas. She argued and complained a lot but ended up doing what Cain wanted.
Well, she was so embarrassed knowing that Cain saw her body. Now, she understood why he almost bought all the supplies of pajamas in that mall, including the lingeries.
Kimmy still wanted to bang her head for her mistakes. She was used to living alone in her own house so she didn't bother wearing anything during the night. She had forgotten that she was not alone in that house anymore.
Who would have thought that Cain would see sothing he was not supposed to see? Kimmy didn't plan any of that to happen. She hated the fact that Cain was thinking that she was trying to seduce him by flaunting her body. It was just an honest mistake. A big mistake on her part.
To avoid that incident from happening again, Kimmy was forced to take those pajamas and lingerie. She was still upset just thinking about that.
anwhile, Cain's father, Daniel, was smiling at them. He thought Kimmy and Cain were getting along very well. He even bought clothes for Kimmy.
He was still hoping that things between the two would end up well. He didn't want to expect but part of him was wishing that Kimmy and Cain would be together in the end. He would be happy for both of them if ever his wish would co true.
"Uncle Daniel, are you hungry? We will just put these upstairs then co back. You should eat on ti so that you can take your dicine," Kimmy said, changing the topic.
She would be more embarrassed if Daniel would ask them what kind of clothes Cain bought for her. She wondered how he would react if he learned that his son bought Kimmy lots of pajamas and underwear.
Daniel just nodded his head, telling them that he would wait for them. It was so nice to eat dinner together with Cain and Kimmy. At least, the house beca more lively because of Kimmy's presence.
After putting the things in her room, Kimmy and Cain went to join Daniel in the dining area. He already instructed the maids to serve the food. The three shared a delicious al tonight.
After dinner, Kimmy spent so ti conversing with Uncle Daniel. She talked about work and other stuff to entertain uncle Daniel.
Cain was secretly observing the two. He was glad to see his father smiling because of Kimmy. He could tell that his father was fond of her. Too bad, they didn't end up marrying each other. Daniel would love to make Kimmy as his daughter-in-law.
When it was ti to go to bed, Kimmy went to her room and took a quick shower. A few minutes later, she stepped out of her bathroom wearing her robe.
She sighed deeply seeing the several paper bags containing different pajamas.
"Sigh, I guess I have no choice but to wear this."
Kimmy tried to wear several pairs of pajamas along with her new lingerie. It took her several minutes before she finished choosing her pajamas tonight.
She crumpled her face seeing her reflection on the full-size mirror. She felt like a nun as her body was covered by fabrics.
"Argh, I really hate wearing pajamas!" Kimmy stomped her feet while tugging her hair.
She felt uncomfortable and hot wearing those pajamas. So she decided to go to the balcony to get so fresh air.
She didn't expect that Cain was also there, hanging out on the balcony. Cain glanced in her direction. His lips twitched seeing Kimmy in her pajamas.
"See, you look great in your pajamas. It suits you well," Cain said, complinting her.
Kimmy blushed a little not because of his complint but because of the charming smile playing across his handso face.
'Damn! Why does he look gorgeous even in his sleeping wear? And that smile… it can lt any woman's heart!' Kimmy thought to herself while looking at Cain with her dreamy eyes.
'Stop looking. It's dangerous. You must not fall for that smile,' Kimmy scolded herself. And so, she looked away before responding to Cain's remarks.
"I don't know if I will be able to sleep with these. I feel like my skin is itching because of the fabrics! See… It's covering all my skin! It doesn't look cool at all," Kimmy was still complaining.
Cain just shook his head helplessly. "It's just only in your mind. You will get used to it."
Kimmy just heaved a sigh of defeat. She had no choice. She decided to go back to her room but she just took a step when a cockroach landed on her foot.
Her eyes widened in disgust after seeing the cockroach crawling from her foot going up to her pajama.
"Aaaaah!" Kimmy scread and started jumping to brush off the cockroach.
"Hey, Kimberly, what's wrong?" Cain felt alard hearing Kimmy's scream. He imdiately ran in her direction.
When he reached her spot, Kimmy suddenly pounced on him, climbing and hugging his body tightly. She even wrapped her legs around his hips. She was scared about sothing.
Cain, who was clueless about what was happening to her, suddenly froze in his spot as he felt her soft body pressing against him. She was clinging to him tightly. She even sunk her body into his arms.
"Cain… There is a cockroach!"
